Eyal let out a massive yawn. So far today he'd been pestered by a young cub constantly. He needed a break. So, despite his wounded leg, he had wondered off from the kid's territory.
He padded around unsure of where he was. He could scent a pride of lions nearby but didn't pay any attention to their border. He was a warrior. Even with his healing flank he believed himself to be strong. He arches his back and cracks it, digging his claws into the dirt beneath his paws. There's long gashes on his right flank from a fight with a buffalo and he's limping slightly.
He peers ahead and sees another lion. A male from the look of it. Ever ready for a fight he slowly approaches, keeping his distance. He gives a light roar in greeting and to see if the male is hostile.

The crimson lion was on his way out of the pridelands after a few weeks stay. He had...how would you say it, overstayed his welcome after his many encounters with the golden lioness with the bad attitude. The silver maned male shook his large head, little bits of dirt flopping from the shining hair. "Now what to do?" Ukir mumbled to himself, flopping on the ground. He had to admit, the female did keep his interest, even if one of those times involved the nasty pink scar on his cheek.
When he heard a light roar, his ears perked forward, standing up immediatly. He spotted another male in the distance, heading his way. Ukir wasn't a fighter, but he knew how to if it came down to it. His stance wasn't tense, it was more relaxed as the male came closer to him. He gave out a small lion-like noise, nodding his head in a greeting.

The red-maned lion watched this new lion with interest. Either he wasn't afraid or he didn't care about his presence. The greeting gave him permission to approach so he did. "That's quite a battle scar." He intoned once he was close enough, nodding to the scar on the other male's cheek. His own flank had a few scars of its own.
He kept standing, but was taking the chance to rest his leg. He glanced down at the new lion, curious but cautious. "What is your name, brother?" He questioned, keeping a sharp eye for any sign of aggression. His own stance was tense but nothing to indicate he wanted a fight.

The voice of the other held no threatening tone in it, so Ukir relaxed more. At the mention of the scar, he couldn’t help but grin. “Battle scar…right…” he chuckled at the memory. “The lady got the upper hand on me that time, but next time I’ll get her,” the crimson male joked, probably confusing the other male.
“My name is Ukir…Ukir’Mtima Kasa, but please, Ukir is just fine.” He chortled. “And yourself, brother?” The other lion kept the formalities this one had started with. His brown eyes drifted to his flank, noting the scars placed elegantly there. “Seems you had yourself a fair amount of battles as well. Hopefully no troubles with the ladies like me?”

Eyal tilted his head at the male's words, giving him a strange look. Beaten up by a female? He snorted. He'd never let such happen to him. He was too proud for that.
"Ukir." He repeated, not really willing to say his entire name. He sat down, curling his tail around him. "My name is Eyal. I am the warrior Chief of the En Gedi pride." Came the almost rehearsed words before he glanced at his shoulder and his flank. "A young cub got herself chased by a Buffalo. I stepped into protect her. They're not more then battle scars."

En Gedi pride? It seemed like every day there was some new pride that existed in this world. It made Ukir curious. “I’ve never heard of the En Gedi, tell me brother, where is this pride located?” Ukir was a traveler. He would want to travel all around the savannah in search of different things. Learning the histories and locations of other prides also helped him in traveling, if one were to meet up with him and were lost, he could always help.
”That was very noble of you. Tell me, is the little cub alright?” Even though he didn’t know the cub, he still felt a sense of worry for her.

"Its located well to the west. It took me a long time to get this far." He leans over to lick at his leg and try to flex it. It seized up if in one position too long. "A few moons at any rate."
"Hm? She's fine... A bit of a pest but unharmed. She's intent on keeping me here until my leg is healed." He shook his mane and sighed. "I keep telling her I'll be fine." He let out a soft growl. He knew he could make it well enough on his own. Why he let himself be ordered around by a cub was beyond him.
