Tweek
Nessa gasped as a ghostly gray form entered the fray. At first she thought it was another dog, but no! It was a shewolf! As the spectral female threw herself at the dogs, a pitch black male hound leapt forward, snapping his jaws at Kalia's flank from behind. Another hound, this one female, approached her shoulder from the other side, trying to catch her in a sandwich, while snarling angrily. "She calls us filthy rats! Filthy rats! Savage! Savage wild one!"
Nessa pawed at the wall once more, and in a desperate leap, she leapt up, finding purchase for a moment. She clung to the steep incline, muscles tightening as she felt gravity begin to pull her down. Her olive eyes focused rapidly on a snow-white wolf that had appeared beside her. "He-elp!" She stammered desperately, digging her tiny claws into the ground. She didn't even question the other's appearance. She could hardly think about anything except getting away. She was so close to the top... if she could just get out of the ravine...
The lead dog rumbled furiously at Kouji, bucking up on his hindlegs and using his full weight to his advantage, trying to pin the other male down and get at his jugular. White teeth flashed in the light...
One of the dogs' head parked up at the smell of a new wolf. He glared at Catalyst with a threatening growl, muscles tensing to charge.

He'd thank Kalia later. Right then Kouji's anger got fueled a bit by frustration at the number of wolves showing up, but the lack of wolves offering Nessa any assistance in escaping the ravine. She might still get hurt if the fight got out of control, she could be crushed!
Kouji's dog bucked, sending the wolf falling off since he had no way of gripping the lead dog. If he thought he was going to outbeat a wolf, though, and Kouji of all wolves, he had another thing coming.
Kouji had more experience, Kouji was wild, he didn't have the restraint that was forced into domesticated dogs. His senses were sharper, his teeth were larger, his frame was stronger. The same could be said for Kalia, or any fit wolf for that matter.
He snarled once in warning, even as he already began to lunge forward and upwards, opened his jaws wide to clamp down hard around the hunting dog's muzzle, feeling his teeth sink down into the skin of the other's face. He just wanted to distract the beast long enough to turn his attention to the pup scrambing up the side of the dried river bed. With a strong push of his snout he managed to give Nessa's hindquarters a shove in the right direction, out of the ravine.
The soil crumbled beneath the force of his nails and forepaws, and Kouji had to act fast to keep from getting ripped apart from behind. His back left haunch felt like it was on fire! The damn lead dog managed to retaliate, rather angrily at that, and an angry snap of Kouji's jaws was his reward. The scent of more blood filled the air, Kouji's. It was sickeningly sweet, and the pain made his mind sharp. Where were Nessa's parents?

Really, Kalia didn't want to be thanked, not for this. This was just something she did on her own, no one had asked her. Plus, she wasn't doing it to earn points with the wolves and get a good social status. Doing this to get that would be plain stupid. She wasn't stupid, not in the least. She had done this to help save an innocent pup from this pack of overgrown rats. Domestic dogs in her mind were shameful to their ancestors.
"Rats!" she snarled, whirling around in circles as two other dogs tried to sandwich her. She had been in this sort of situation before and she knew how to get out. As she spun, she snapped and continuously flung her hind feet out behind her. This would hopefully get the dogs to back off a few feet, if not get hit by her flying paws and snapping jaws.
She was going to help Nessa get out of the ravine, but she had been separated from the pup by the three dogs that were attacking her and, besides, Kouji had reached the little female first. Glad that the pup would at least be a bit more safe than she was before, the gray femme turned her attention back to the sad excuse for descendants of wolves. In her mind, they were too low to deserve such a title.
"I'll show you what happens when you mess with WOLVES!" she yelled at them, suddenly flinging herself into two of the small creatures. They were so weak!! She could easily pin two down without breaking a sweat. "Never.. EVER.. shall you go after another wolf!" she threatened, now going for their necks and in for the kill.
At this point, Winter and Catalyst weren't in line to be noticed by Kal. She was too preoccupied..

If given another few seconds to react, Winter might have managed to help Nessa up the side of the ravin, however before she was able Kouji had already done all that was really needed. However this was good in the sense that now all attention could be focused mainly and for the most part on the pack of domestic dogs who had caused the trouble to begin with. For a moment Winter stood, almost dumbfounded, at this entire situation. However given another moment, the ivory she-wolf bounded towards Kouji and Kalia.
How was she supposed to fight..? She couldn't even /hunt/ decently, let alone try to hurt something.. however taking a quiet breath, the female leapt forward, aiming to knock one of the canines to the ground, hopefully keeping it away from Kalia, who was being grouped with two or three of the attackers.
This worked out well.. Nessa could find some place safe to hide while she, Kalia, Kouji and Catalyst took the time to fight off this group. Hopefully more wouldn't come, however. This looked like a handful already.
"What.. the heck is.. going on..?" She panted, upon the end of tumbling from her little tackle. Hopefully someone would answer, and hopefully it wouldn't be one of the angered dogs.
Slowly but surely she began to catch the words that they spoke. wild, savages..
Since when were wolves savages..? If anyone was a savage, it would have been these.. dogs.. attacking for really no reason, really. Or at least she assumed they had just.. shown up growling and snarling, anyway.

Catalyst's neck quickly sunk between his shoulder blades, his neck out of reach from attack. His upper lip curled as he looked over to dog who quickly took notice of him.
Nothing will ever get done if we stand around.
His eyes darted from one wolf to the next, jolting over Kouji, Kalia, Winter, then bouncing back to the dogs. His eyes glancing to Kalia once more, he grinned, before directing his focus on the hounds.
Savages? SAVAGES!? I'd hardly call our selves savages when you lot come about attacking what, four...five wolves?
His tail curled in anticipation, as he lowered himself to the ground attempting to balance on his hind legs that continued to shake, trying desperately to hold up his weight. Then, he edged forth, his tongue flicking against his teeth once before he pushed up on his back legs, thrusting his mass into the air, just above the ground, craning his neck slightly and widening his jaws.
Through his agape maw, a rumble of excitement surged through and out into the open, allowing his adrenalin to rush, giving him the energy needed to keep up with the young.

Werewolf
The cool water licked at the large wolf's throat, slowly pursing through and quenching a hot thirst which had since bubbled over the black wolf's tolerance. Mid morning had passed, and although she'd not made any movements to depart her position form Catalyst, she decided finally to slink off briefly to get a drink rather then awake him.
Kirra frowned, listening carefully to her surroundings as small bits of water dribbled over her blunt muzzle. The water was swollen from the previous night's rainfall, and she did not approve of the unsteady ground for which her thick legs tread upon. She felt somewhat pulled, her face peering back at her solemnly from the depths of the shadowed waters.
It was then, that she caught a sharp noise in the distance. Had Catalyst called her? Her ears swiveled, and she swallowed one last gulp of water. It had certainly sounded like her name...perhaps he was angry that she had strayed? Meekly she warbled and quickly bolted, tearing across the small girth of forest back to where they had stayed- only to find it most hauntingly empty.
The black and tan creature paused for a moment and ran a quick circle around the fallen leaves, their bright orange colors yelling out to her from beneath the smothered green. Her mind bubbled at what could possibly have happened, but a loud racket in the distance was quickly filling in the answers for her. There was quite a sound of snarling and snapping up ahead, and the poor omegas heart suddenly filled with a sense of mortal dread.
She wheezed, and attempted to catch her breath from her constrained windpipe. "Oh!" Seemed to be all she could utter, before finding herself moving without thinking to the direction of the brawl.
The big wolf, although blessed with her obnoxious size and bizarre genetics, could not have been a worse fighter. And even as she ran headlong towards where all the hissing was from, she hadn't the faintest idea what she would do upon arrival. And before she knew it, she was there, arriving from the side of the fray in a skid. She stumbled as she pulled herself to a stop, her bright yellow eyes quickly widening with surprise as one of the hounds passed by her, chasing quickly after another wolf.
She was dumbfounded as what to do, her eyes quickly fluttering on the forms of the other strange wolves, their eyes all sharp and livid in the fight. Dogs too, bounded about, and she could swear she heard their strange tongue, snapping, and some child making wild noises.
Kirra noticed Catalyst at the far right, a bit obstructed from where she was by the bodies of some of the other wolves. There were quite a few, and her mind began to throb as she attempted to make sense of who was who, although it appeared that all five* had united against these beasts.
Her fur bristled, mostly out of instinct, and nervously she let out a low curdling snarl. Puffed up, she looked much larger then ever, almost unnatural, and hoped it did enough to scare the dogs from her personage.
But still, she held her ground. There was no use in her attacking quite yet, she was still doe-struck and trying to comprehend it all. She watched Catalyst, and decided that it would be best to follow his lead.
