Yuki fidgeted nerviously as he went down the eerily silent halls. As if the universe was refusing to speak to him, knowing what he was about to do. Guilt welled up inside him... But he had to. For Colette's safety. She didn't need to be a part of Akito's word.
No one did.
Gulping hard, he reached up to gently tap on his older cousin's door. Breath hitching in his throat. Kyou would hate him. He knew it. But this.. had to be done.
Right?

Work work work. The ryu was busy with some paperwork that had to do with his office when he heard a knock at his door. He stretched his arms out infront of him, letting out a yawn before pushing himself to his feet and trodding on over to answer the door. He tucked one hand into his pocket, pulling open the door.
"Yuki-kun." He gave a small nod and stepped aside to allow the boy in, "Come in..?" He didn't quite know what was going on- he didn't often get little visits from Yuki. Or most of the members of the family, with the exception of Shigure and Ayame. But they didn't count. He meant intelligent people.

Yuki looked to the ground almost guiltily.. Shuffling into the room. It was a rare look from the boy. "Hatori-san..." his voice quivered "I... Need to tell you something."
He fidgeted a bit more "I should.. have told you sooner."

The young man's expression grew completely solemn as he closed his door behind the boy and turned to lean back against it, arms folding over his chest. "Yes... What is it?" His voice was soft, somewhat curious. It meant that he was worried.

"That day... Akito showed up." A hand automatically went to his chest. On the rib brace. The rib he had broken that day. Reminding himself of the ribs Colette would have broken...
Ofcourse he had caused that on himself hadn't he? That was his own fault.
"Kyou... He showed her. He showed Colette." he blurted it out, looking almost hurt by the action. Like.. he was betraying someone who had wanted to be his friend. Maybe Kyou would understand...?

Hatori's eyebrows shot up, and his voice lowered, "He...?" He paused, taking in a deep breath and rubbing at a temple lightly, thinking over what all of this meant.. How troublesome... He let out a sigh, teeth settling into his lower lip. This complicated things, especially them lying low.. Something had to be done.
"Akito... He doesn't know, does he?" His eyes opened. Akito couldn't know. That would be bad.

"No..." Yuki shook his head, dropping his eyes to the floor again "Please.. Don't tell him... Colette..." he flinched a bit. He wouldn't be able to forgive himself if she got hurt. Just because of him. He had gotten the Sohmas new homes...Maybe that had been good. But not if it meant Colette would be hurt.
If anyone would be hurt.
His mind flashed back to ash for a moment... He had to tell hatori about her too. But.. he couldn't. Didn't want to... Later. He would later.
What would Hatori think if he knew Colette knew Kyou's other form? "He also..." The mouse bit his lower lip.

The man let out a slow breath. Stress stress... Ugh... He had to erase the memories of another person. That was the only answer, the only way to keep Colette safe. What had Kyou been thinking? This was... Troublesome. Hatori felt a migrain coming on. He pushed himself upright. "Akito has no reason to know." He felt the stress build up in his head and stomach. This was terrible...
He looked at Yuki evenly, "You know what I'll have to do."

The boy decided not to finish his last sentance. They didn't need to know kyou had shown his other form. He might be locked up... Yuki couldn't wish that on anyone. He looked a bit releived to know Hatori wouldn't tell. Akito would be utterly peeved if he ever found out... Afterall he had the need to know everything.
But Hatori was right. he had no reason to. And yuki had no want for him to know.
The boy shifted a bit, nodding. "Yes..." he gulped, moving to the door. "I'll... go get her."

The ryu closed his eyes and let his head droop forward, giving the smallest of nods. This was the reason he avoided people outside of the family... He was always hurting people by taking away memories... He hated it, he really did. Another deep breath. Here goes...
One more time.

The boy wasn't all too aware how much it must hurt to take away anothers memories. He only knew the pain of being forgotten.
He trailed to the living room where the girl was playing happilly, a few blocks representing her friends. Kyou, Lloyd, Spiro, Yuki, Avery, and herself. Not that anyone could tell who was who, since they were just legos used resourcefully. "Ano... Colette.. Could you come with me?" he choked a bit, looking paler than normal.
Colette looked up, smiling brightly "Of course!" She moved ot stand, tripping once only to rush back to her feet and run to her brother. Smiling up a thim with complete trust and innocence.
He gulped again, guilt wrenching at his heart. He turned quietly leading her back to Hatori's room.
The girl blinked, looking a bit worried as she followed him to the older man's room. Wondering why they were going there but not asking.

His stomach lurched when he saw her. It always did. It was always this way.. He wouldn't let the guilt eat him away. He would stand up to it this time.. Because this time it really was the right thing. This time it was the only way.. It was what he told himself everytime, but he thought this time he meant it. He didn't know that he really meant it everytime, and everytime it never really had much affect on him.
He spoke quietly, eyes sliding to a close for now, "Colette... Could you sit on my bed please..?" Now, how to go about this..? He could always... Yes, it was the only way. He would have to pretend it was a game. He couldn't just tell her he was taking away some of her precious memories. He couldn't.

((He sounds like a *****! XD ))
She blinked a bit nodding and smiling to sit on his bed as told. Smiling as she waited. Her mind told her something was wrong. They way they were both acting... Like they'd done something horrible. But if they had.. the only thing she could do was smile and support them right? Maybe they had broken her doll.. or something. Well. If they had she'd forgive them.
Yuki felt nausious... Also suffocating. Great he was going to have an attack. He stood off to the side, Hatori would tell him if he needed to leave. And if he didn't he'd be here to help. His mind trailed off a bit. What would Ash do? Would she forget him completely...? Would she forget how to talk?

"Now.." He suddenly looked exhausted. Completely wiped out. "We're going to play a game Colette, okay..?" He moved to stand before his bed, drawing in even breaths. He felt like he was going to have one of Yuki's attacks... And then he was blank-faced. Everything was fine, this was the right thing. No one deserved to suffer. No emotion could be read from his face as he placed his hand over her eyes. "Now, just keep still, okay?"
He looked towards the boy and nodded towards the door, motioning for him to leave. No one deserved to see him rip away someone's memories, especially not someone close to them. Then he was looking back towards the girl, "Alright, I'm going to count to three- don't ask any questions, I've got a surprise." A surprise indeed. "One... Two..." He almost choked on his own breath. "Three..." And there was the bright light. It seemed so familiar to him now. So hauntingly familiar.

Yuki left, shutting the door to slump down next to it. He wanted to cry... But they'd be out soon. And he didn't want Hatori to see him cry. Not again.
Colette smiled and nodded. Whoo games were fun. "Okay." she waited, fidgeting nerviously. Why was everyone so upset? Suprises were good.. right? So why-- Her expression went blank as she fell back onto the bed. Sleeping apparently, or something of the sort.
