I came across this on Danbooru, and I heard it was a poster from the new movie! I think it's been taken down since because of it's poor quality (looks like someone snapped a picture of the poster) but I snagged it!

Eureka looks damn cute, but they both look awful short for 16.

The article included in the link to Anime New Network said something about "a different feel"

this could explain many things: A new Storyline, New animations, even New, yet identical characters


Think about anime thast use this:
.hack/SIGN and the first four .hack//PS2 games use the last implement, but it apllies to the 'new feel' effect

in my opinion, i would love to see Eureka, still in "true form" and Renton side-by-side as "rouge nomadic figures", or rather

They have established themselves as a couple, but, they cloack themselves in public, and never stay in one spot
anyone who's seen the final form of Eureka would know why this is "a prefered epilogue"

the artist company, as stated by the article also changed, thus causing the new animations what they look a little squat,
but the new feel may just be a non-mech story, but i dunno...yet anyways

it looks like it's a 90% chance it's eureka,
when Renton went with nirvash to "relcaim" his girl, he clipped her hair back with a clip that hada flower on it

nature dictates: clipped flowers die,
so i'm sure to "remember" they put a new attachment onto her clip

but the eyes have a different expression, which gives me a 10% chance that is may be a daughter or some other form of look alike

however, with her being "what she is", i doubt this'd be the case seeing as the eyes are still pink, and with the anime's law on pink/reddish eyes, this tell me that it's eureka

but i do agree, her cloak does make her look cute, then agian, i prefer the shy, frail, and sophisticated anime girl anyways, so unless she's changed in personality, regardless of attire, i'll like her, i'm sure

WARNING MANGA/SHOW SPOILER

i watch and play .hack// and Mimiru, my fave female from .hack//SIGN looks jsut like Blockrose, only with a few recolors making the difference, but i cant stand black rose, so that anime frnachise gave me experience in the effect of "sequels with similar, yet different people"

plus many anime do use this effect, however:

there is some, if any research in this:
In the anime and in the manga, Eureka and Anemone both have pink eyes, but are the only ones with such eyes, and this dictates them as Alien Bodies

so this give a 90% that it's her, the 10% coems form, if those are renton's and eureka's biological children, then maybe, just maybe the eyes' gene can be passed

but to be in all honesty: we need ask the creator of E7 about this

Well to tell you the truth. After reading about it on a few Japanese forums and such. I believe it retells us the story of their child hood in a much bigger way then in the tv series. That is why they look the way they do and aren't right next to each other.

You;ve a point 'renton,

however, until i see the movie, i'm not gonna basemy hopes yet,

thats way it's ahrder for me to be disapointed

i myself wanna see Renton and Eureka's Biolgical child, that would be a sight

likewise: to your reference of the mixed-traits,
this is only a usually, in a few of anime, there are offspring of main female and main male whom iether look jsut like on of their parents, but with the personality/shyness of the other or totally look different

Think about Sailor Moon - Sailor Mini moon is an example of totally different
then DBZ Goten is and example of the frist one, looks jsutlike Goku, but is as dense as Chi-Chi,

and those, mind my words have nothing to do with nowadays anime but they are the foundation regardless

so, i'll jsut sum my rant up in three words:

I think I remember sometime back when someone brought up the fact that there was going to be a movie that the story was going to be the same characters and all that, but with a totally different plot, just like the manga. The manga is a retelling of the story in the anime, so the movie'll probably be the same.

In my opinion, I think that's kind of cool. It's interesting to see one thing told in different ways. Like... how some directors of an anime completely change the plot of the manga. That's how it was done with Fullmetal Alchemist. Sometimes if you see the anime, you don't want to read the manga because it's generally the same story. The author of Fullmetal wanted the anime to be different so that would not happen.

And yeah, I think that's Eureka and Renton. Looks like them, but as younger kids. Man, Eureka is so adorable in that picture. razz

I can't wait to see the movie! XD

Well it would be cool to see Eureka and Renton's kids. Imagining the possibilities gives me headaches though because there are way too many options.
