Grass swayed in the breeze, dancing around the savannah as it bowed down before the gusts and gentle caresses. Small black paws speckled with white dots trotted through the breezy grass, letting it lap at his ankles without a second thought as to why. Of course he didn't see it, yet he always knew it was there, always knew what was there. The breeze blew the puff of striped hair atop his head around his small sensitive ears.

For some reason the wind was talking about change today, was whispering about things unknown and exploration needed to discover. Two tonal eyes, one blue and one green, stared straight forward blindly as he made his way across the grasses looking for whatever the wind was talking about.

Colche had still been asleep when he'd woken so Korou was trying to be as swift as possible in his search. When it came to him leaving Colche sometimes became worriesome. It was to be expected with a past like his, where he got himself stuck to a skull in the Elephant Graveyard for a week, been battered by a monsoon and orphaned, gotten lost from his adoptive mother never to see her again, been broken by a previous relationship that had left him a shard of himself. Whenever Korou left her sight Colche would worry with reason to.

Of course Korou wasn't the same cheetah he'd been back when everything had happened to him. Back then he'd had the sight in at least one eye, now without it everything seemed to be clearer to him, though he wished he could see Colche and his cubs as they grew. Now he was stronger and more capable of finding his way around. Never since he'd come to find Colche had he ever gotten lost, never since he'd lost his sight even.

Trotting gently over a rise, Korou stopped for a moment and swivveled his ears around his head, listening to where the wind was guiding him to go. Something was going to happen this day, something was coming.

Maybe something amazing, maybe something horrifying. Korou was hoping more towards amazing.

Bright, golden orbs stared into a small mound of swaying green grass, a mainly green head with black spots cocking to the side some. The orbs of a magnificent color blinked some, and the head cocked to the other side. A green and black striped tail lashed quickly, and then ceased any further movements. Golden balls blinking again, a black-tipped paw suddenly reached into the mound, pawing at the dirt below the dancing blades. It came back up into the air, only to find that nothing had exactly happened to the dirt below. The orbs looked at the paw... And then back down at the dirt... And then right back at the paw again. Quite confused at this point, the paw reached back down, clambering at the dirt once more.

"Chu....?", the cheetah cub mumbled to himself, seemingly completely baffled by something unbeknown to anyone else. A slight breeze blew in from behind him, making the green and black fur on his back ruffle up a bit, his tail twitching some.

((Is it just you and I? XD Okay. ))

About to let his paws walk again for him, a noise rose through the breeze and danced through his sharp ears like an odd mantra. Tilting his head to the side for a short moment, Korou let out a chirp.

The noise he heard was of something small playing. Well... nearby at least. It was the sound of grass playing across a smaller body. A body that seemed unlike a ratel or a hare. It had to be small enough to be a cub.

Nodding his head at his own deduction, Korou trotted over towards the source of the noise, whiskers out and ears swivveling about. Being the father he was, Korou disliked when cubs were out alone. He couldn't sense another adult cheetah anywhere around them, though that didn't mean a parent wasn't nearby.

Just in case though... it was better safe than sorry. He'd been a lost cub himself at one time and been more than happy to find Zakiya. If it hadn't been for her Korou would have died after losing Faraqui and the sight in his left eye in the same day.

Hopefully this cub was in better shape, though he was optimistic.
