I found this one on musiciansfriend for $50, that has one line, and this one with 2 for like $80, like you said. I'm probly gunna get the $50 one and like mix that s**t, that way I can edit and mess with the tracks individually. unfortunatly that means wavepad razz and I'll have to check out the hookers and blow I suppose, Ill say dolphin sent me. whee

I have one of those as well and I use it for mobile recording.

Illidan_Stormrage_00 does the $50 toneport come with recording software? or is it just like compatible with lots of programs, I've always wondered that. None of them come with recording software. they are compatible with almost ALL popular free and for purchase recording programs. VERY useful tool.

Does it work like GuitarPort?
Also... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Line-6-TonePort-UX2-USB-RecordingModeling-Interface?sku=249701
That. It's a little more expensive, but is it worth it? I wouldn't mind paying the extra if it is.

That has steep (recommended) system requirements for a piece of recording equipment. But as long as you have a computer that isn't more than, say, 4 or 5 years old, you should be able to use it.

It's a little more expensive, but is it worth it? I wouldn't mind paying the extra if it is. yes, LIKE guitarport but better. If you're trying to be more serious about recording, the more expensive version is the way to go as it has everything you'd need if you're just starting out or are a seasoned home recorder. Great results. this is what I use at home: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/PreSonus-FP10-10x10-FireWire-Interface?sku=242036 but I get the same quality from my 50 dollar toneport and 100 dollar toneport. I just have them, like i said, for mobile recording and one is on my extra computer. I bought them so I can record everywhere! and the system requirements, yeh... any somewhat new system can handle it fine.

Yeah. This computer I've been using is only maybe 2 months old. But it's a laptop.
I'm not sure if it would be great on it.

Idiots work in these music stores, I tell ya.
I called a couple of places looking for the UX2. I get to one trusted place, and he says the GX is an upgrade from the UX2.
Me never hearing of the GX, I went online to do some research.
$60 bottom-end Toneport. Tried selling it to me for $100.
IT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A LINE-OUT!
Gah...people are stupid.
