Soon it would all be his. It was a daunting thought to say the least! He'd barely knew anyone in the pride apart from Ukoo, his parents and his siblings. He never had the nerve to talk to anyone else...but since he'd grown he was much more active and had made the mental decision to also be more social. After all he was going to be king one day, like his father!
Giza took a deep breath before making his way down the long, winding branches that made up the pathway to the dens before he reached the ground with a small 'oof'.
And, with his head held high and proud, with...some small reluctance, made his way around the pridal grounds looking for other lions that would become his future subjects.

Salome hardly knew anyone in the pride either. In fact she couldn't recall talking to anyone and so spent most of her time not really doing much at all which didn't really bother her it was just a little annoying when everyone seemed to know at least someone and she was all on her own. Well she would have to change that at some point. However that point wasn't going to be today for today she felt tired and would rest.
She had found a nice spot to lay down, out in the open. It was perfect for her because she could see all around and hear well to. It was perfect. She laid, curled up with her head on her forepaws listening to the surroundings. Oh how it was nice to just relax. She thought of home and then snorted. She wasn't interested in home. Her mother who cared so little about her and then her father, well he was a low life. She was better off here.
Her ears pricked at the sound of something heading her way but she wasn't sure so just stayed where she was. After all it could have just been the wind in which case it was nothing to worry about.

Whether being confronted by the young heir instead of the wind was good or bad was her opinion alltogether and the young male blinked softly as he peered at the older female. He didn't really know what to make of her for a few moments, standing there with large, amethyst eyes that bled curiousity before his inner prince kicked in. What had father said? Hold himself with pride?
The juvenille then cleared his throat, making his presence known as he held his head a little higher as he tried to make himself look big and important.
"Greetings female." He said with as much dignity as he could muster.

She turned her head to see the young prince and she just nodded her awknowledgements. She wasn't being rude or anything she just didn't really have anything to say. She wadsn't the nicest of creatures unless she had to be and well she was cold hearted. However showing all this in front of ones prince was far from a clever idea.
"Hello." There it spoken in a soft calm voice which gave him the chance of interpreting her character in any way he wished. She was good at being cruel infact it was what she was born to be but she was also good at acting and that was what was important at the moment.
"I am Salome." There we go, be nice and polite as well.

It was almost painfully obvious this young male had next to no social grace, trying to hold himself high before his form became limp, shoulders shrugging, head hanging and letting out an automatic sigh of relief as his body was released from it's strain. At first he didn't know what to make of the females greeting but accepted it with a smile, tail flicking in and out of sight behind his white little form.
"So...uhmm..." He started trying to find a conversation starter. "How does the night fare you, miss?"

She looked the young prince over and just smiled.
"Your not really the social type are you?" She wasn't really asking the question but more making a statement. It didn't take long to pick up on the awkwardness that was just raidiating from the youngster.
"The night is faring well thank you. I was about to go hunting, do you wish to come?" She didn't expect the youngster to be any good at hunting but there was no harm in having him tag along. There was always the chance of teaching him a thing or two as well!

Giza blinked at the female's statement, ears perking forward as he sat there watching her before he took a small nervous breath. Oh yes, a fine king he'd make.
He had to briefly wonder on her offer for a few seconds, hunting? He'd always wanted to learn how to hunt, but mother and father were always busy. As were his older sisters too.
"Sure!" He said, finally some youthful enthusiasm coming out of him.

"Thats more like it!"
She chuckled as she spoke. This youngster was well, too easy. He seemed so young and innocent. She smirked a little but wipped it off just as quickly. She didn't want him to see it that would give everything away!
"This way then you. Ever hunted before or do you wish to be taught by the master?" She chuckled again, got to keep it cool.

The youngster was all too eager to watch a huntress in action, he would've watched a hunter too but there were none of them around...dad, his brothers and that creepy priest guy were the only males around. So they just had huntresses. Not that he minded ofcourse, he was just at that age where females were really just the point of interest and fear of rubbing off too much of their girly-ness on him.
"Well no, my father always says I have to stay near the den when he or mom goes out hunting because it's dangerous outside the pridal dens." He said softly, big violet eyes looking over the older female as he smiled softly.

"They haven't taught you to hunt?"
Salome was shocked to say the least. They weren't teaching the young prince to hunt? Just because he was going to get his food brought to him was no reason not to learn. The thrill of a hunt was indescribable. It was just electric.
"Well then it's time you learnt. Everyone should know how to hunt, including you. Come on."
She was a bossy one to say the least but the prince can't be naive to everything now can he? She had to show this prince what life was really about.

Giza' had to blink at her bossiness with a little bit of a blank face, however after a few moments of this blank faced blinking the lanky young prince nodded and quickly followed after the older female. Looking up at her curiously as he tottered by her side.
"So what are we gonna hunt?" He asked curiously.

"A rabbit. I can't bring down anything big on my own. I'm not strong enough or old enough yet though rabbits I can catch. They take skill though but I wil help you." She lessened her harshness trying to be kinder and take a softer approach with the young heir.
"Is a rabbit okay with you? It will be challenging but it's a good starting place as any." She smiled wondering why he wouldn't be taught to hunt. She firmly believed every lion should know how to hunt whether they will need to or not. It's just fun playing with the life of another creature, though she wasn't about to admit that in front of the heir.

The young male tottered after the huntress, bright purple eyes watching her with a look of wide eye'd curiousity that most youngsters had at his age. The age between adolescence and just leaving their cubhood behind. As a cub he couldn't leave the den most of the time, so he was all over the place while still trying to make his mother and father proud. Especially his father.
At her words on the choice of prey he flicked his head slightly to the side and gave a small cocksure grin.
"It'll be fine with me, bet I get one on the first try." He said, trying now to be the brave little heir of the pride as he held his head up as high as he could while still keeping an eye out for this 'rabbit'.
