Please do not post unless you are Lethy, Kimmy, Kasai, Tammy or...uhh the last cubby owner...you know who you are! heart xd The Story so Far Lethrossen Being tired and cranky first thing in the morning wasn't fun at all. At least he used to be able to sleep more whenever he woke up feeling tired, he never did anything about crankiness. His large paws hit the ground and little puffs of dust rose up, he was headed away from Ari and the cubs, all of them fast asleep.
His tail flicked behind him, ears swiveling a little. He let out a deep sigh and kept an eye out for a nearby waterhole. Parenting sucked. He stretched a little and shrugged. Oh well, maybe it would be better once the cubs grew. Unless they stayed all.. crazy like. He blamed Ari for having hellspawn. He grinned at this, he'd have to tell her so. It was fun to tease.
Well, at least he hadn't run into Bakhti since they'd arrived back in the southlands. Or anyother annoying twit. Still, he hadn't run into Amari or Masuka yet, which puzzled him. Perhaps he just wasn't around at the right time, and vise versa. Kimaria Amari had been wandering far the past few days, after spending a while with Maawio he had left to ease the hunger for adventure in his heart. However he was beginning to feel a little lonely at not being with her for such a long time and there he was now heading in the direction of Pride rock.
It was here that he picked up the familiar scent of Asi and he could not help but wonder what his friend had been up to. Last he'd heard the lion had gotten his female knocked up and that they would soon be parents. He smirked.
Now with a new direction set he loped towards where he thought Asi was and paused only to throw back his head and roar a greeting. Loud as ever. Lethrossen Asi's spirits perked a little as he suddenly heard Amari's obnoxiously loud roar, he even smiled a little. Of course, he'd have to look grumpy when Amari came into view, that was rule number one. " 'e be the devil 'imself." He muttered and grinned wider, paws moving so he could now walk in Amari's oncoming form. Yes, Amari must be the devil, because whenever Asi was thinking of him he came! Well, most of the time anyways. Pssh, Masuka would have to learn whatever trick that lion used to be there when he needed her.
"Oy, yew be wakin' the 'ole southlands if yew do no quiet yerself!" Asi called when the other was in hearing range. He had to work a little to actually look grumpy again, it was sort of like a stress relief being able to see a friend rather than having to deal with cubs. Kimaria Amari's grin widened at the sound of Asi's voice and he bounded forwards, pace increasing. He was starting to look rather shabby however, dust in his fur, twigs and grass tangled in his mane, but there was hardly ever a time when he looked clean - thanks to his fear of water.
"Hey, there's no harm in letting the world know I exist, plus now I have this sexy roar I might as well make use of it." He grinned wide, teeth glinting in the sunshine as he came to a sliding halt in front of the other male.
"Sooo Dad, cubs arrived yet?" He teased, smelling other scents on the lion, ones that were familiar and yet different at the same time. Lethrossen He snorted and rolled his eyes. "Yew do be thinkin' too highly o' yerself, yer roar sounds like claws 'gainst rock." He grinned, teasing as well. His tail flicked and he huffed. "Aye, an' do no call me tha'." His eyes narrowed a bit. "Three o'em, yew 'ave ta meet'em.." He gave Amari a wicked grin, that might me it might be bad to meet them. "One likes pickin' fights, the other hears voices.." He huffed. "Peachy, eh? Though the girl seems ter be alrigh'.." He smirked, though he didn't realize she was starting to show signs of manipulation at early ages. "an' yew, where 'ave yew been?" KasaiLoki Moving slowly in the tall grass, Denahi followed his father towards the waterhole. Screw being with his sleeping family. Even though, it probably was a good time to get Tamu back for the events that took place earlier, but eh, the black cub wasn't one to attack another in a sleeping state.
...He'd wait til he was awake.
His ears perked forward, hearing the roar of another lion, before they flattended against his head. He could prove a threat to Asi! Or...something like that? With a growl, Denahi shot from the grass, bolting straight for Amari, a snarl contented on his face.

He faked a look of sheer hurt, eyes widening and jaw hanging open. "Now, now Asi that's not very nice of you." He reached up to nudge at the other with a paw and shook his head. "Here I am going out of my way to give you a break of fatherhood and you insult me?" This time he grinned and listened to Asi's description of the young'uns.
Picking fights? Hearing voices? Wow... "Well I always knew your kids would be a little...different." He teased lightly, pausing as a small ball of fur came dashing over to them. Wow that was one happy looking cub. >_>;;
The male lion burst into a fit of laughter, eyes glossy with amusement. "So this is the one that takes after daddy?" He lowered his head a little and tilted it curiously as he caught sight of the cub's snarl. "What's bugging yah short-stop?"

Asi snorted at his friend's faking of the hurt. "Aye, bu' I do no be nice, eh?" He grinned. He rolled his eyes a little. "Diff.." He trailed off as Denahi came shooting through the grass, brows raising. He held in his own laughter at the funny scene, mostly because he thought it was cute that Denahi was trying to attack his friend, probably because he didn't know Amari /was/ a friend.
"Denahi, 'e be alrigh', 'e be a chum of yer da's." His paw swipped out, trying to get Denahi to calm down. He glared at Amari slightly. "Takes af'er me? Wha' yew mean by that?" He snorted, Amari was the one that picked fights!

Denahi snorted, eyes narrowing slightly as Asi swiped a paw towards him. "I'm not short," He scoffed. Well, /he/ thought he wasn't short, being the eldest of three kids. But compared to the adult lions that surrounded him, gave way to a totally different view. "If you want me to put it simply? You, in my territory." Once again, the charcoal male thought the rogue lands belonged to him. He told the same thing to Ta'Ziyan that night he attacked him.
"...chum?" Asi's son asked, confused by the term.

Meh...whatever Asi said about himself he was an alright kinda guy, if he hadn't been then Amari would never have created a friendship with him in this manner. With a small snort he glanced once again at the cub, smirking as Asi went to swipe at him.
"He takes after you I swear! Look at that grumpy expression!" He wanted to roll about on the ground and laugh, he wanted to release it in some manner but for now held still, his sides quivering with supressed laughter. The cub was mean and scary that was for sure, Asi would have to give him a cuff about the ears and set him straight or he was going to run into trouble. Snarling and snapping at full-grown rogue males was a bad idea.
"You're territory?" He beamed, "well that's cute kid but these here parts are for everyone. You're in rogue country and there are many lions out there who'd eat yah for breakfast." He winked, and paused only when he realised that wasn't a very nice thing to say to a cub...ahh well to late too take it back. "Lucky for you I'm not that kind of guy!" A toothy smile ensued.
"Chum...I'm your daddy's best friend!" He nudged up against Asi in a playful manner, eyes sparkling with joy. Now he had two lions to tease.

Asi's eyes widened a little and he chuckled. "This do no be our territory Denahi, it be free lions land." He murmered. Territory, what a pain that would be! That would mean work and such. He sighed after a moment though, Denahi was going to run into trouble, and Asi /did/ see a lot of himself in the cub; even if he looked more like Ari. "Denahi Yew do no go an' attack things bigger than yew.." Well. That sounded like he was encouraging it! Oh well.
He suddenly thwaped Amari with a paw. "Best friend?" He arched a brow and snorted. He rolled his eyes playfully and grinned. Actually if Asi had such things as best friends he probably would choose Amari as it. "Annee way, this be mine and Ari's son, Denahi." He mumbled, grinning brightly. Even if the little guy was a trouble maker Asi was still proud of him.

"..Aye, /freelands/." He said to Asi, though still not accepting the concept of it in the small head of his. Denahi hissed at Amari, "Maybe I may be one of them," He muttered, scoffing slightly. This kid wasn't too bright now, was he? The blue eyes rolled, best friend eh?
He smirked at his father. "That means I can attack things /smaller/ than me" Including Tamu. He added on silently, grinning wickedly as the thoughts roamed his mind.

"Ouch." He complained, lowering his head a little and glancing with fake sadness at the male lion. "Why'd yah hit me for?" He took a small step back, rearing up on his hind legs a little and tried to wrap his forearms around Asi's neck in a sort of affectionate tackle-hug.
"Cute kid." He muttered through a grin, tail thrashing from side to side. Then at the cub's last comment he turned to gaze at him through hazel eyes. "But that wouldn't be much of a challenge, eh? And you sure would look like a coward." He teased lightly.

Asi's lip curled at the hug, but it was almost laughable. Who the hell hugged other lions? Just like Amari. He almost fell over, too. "I hi' yew cause tha' be wha' I do." He gave Amari a cheeky grin, but it slid off his maw rather quickly. "Er.. I mean.. hittin' be bad.." He nodded, glancing to Denahi out of the corner of his eye. Great! What an example Asi was.
Yeah, cute. He sighed lightly, he had no clue how to deal with Denahi. "Er.. aye, yew woul' look like a coward." He nodded in agreeance with Amari. Maybe then Denahi would.. chill out a bit.

"But you guys said no to go attack things that be bigger than me..?" Now the charcoal cub was truley lost. Ah well. He watched Amari's actions towards Asi, and Asi's responses. 'What a bunch of weirdos.' He said silently. He snickered when Asi said 'hittin' be bad'.

Amari found it difficult to keep a straight expression at Asi's comment. Wow he really was setting a good example to his fiesty little charcoal son. "Ah yeah well, there's a difference yah see." He turned to eye the cub once more.
"He hits me in good nature and not to hurt me." He huffed and then gave Asi another look, "or atleast I hope so!"
Then with a flick of his tail, Amari sat down and curled it about his form, gazing at the cub who seemed so eager to fight. It reminded him a little of himself... "Well now, why do you have to attack anything anyway?" He shook his mane and grinned, "if yah go round trying to sink your teeth into everything one day you're gonna bite off more than you can chew."

Asi groaned a little, why explain anything? Or try to anyways. He was already backwards and confused about his own words. He chuckled toward Amari. "Ifin' I be tryin' ta 'urt yew I wouldn't be 'ittin' so softly.." He gave the other a wicked grin and slowly layed down. He sighed at the snicker from Denahi and swipped a paw playfully at the little charcoal cub.

"You...hope so? So that could mean my da' really has cruel intentions and wants you dead?" Denahi asked before hearing Asi's comment, narrowing his eyes at Amari. Some first impression, eh? "Attacking is fun?" The cub said, like it was the easiest answer in the world. "And if I bite off more than I can chew, then I'll just take smaller bites." He nodded, smirking. He took Amari's words literally.
The cub shook his head at Asi. He was so...boring! Hitting softly, what fun was that? He growled as the paw came towards him again, this time, he retaliated. He jumped up, attaching to the others paw, gnawing.

"Well that's alright then." He made a face at Asi which soon turned into an amused chuckle and then with a sweeping of his tail he lowered himself further to observe the little cub. He really was a strange little thing, the looks of his mother and a temperament based on his father's - although at a more extreme level. Even Asi had never picked fights with anyone, in his knowledge at least.
"Nah you don't go killing your friends." Amari said, not losing the hint of amusement in his tone. "Well...I wouldn't say fun. Dangerous more like...and uh stupid, yeah stupid. Not many lions will want to get tah know yah if you're gonna be all mean."
He watched as the cub attacked his fathers paw...or tried to anyway.
"And a cutesy cub like you would have loads of girls if you didn't act so boistrous."
