Lurking about in the darkness, Keira hadn't seen her family for awhile now but she knew that she couldn't return until she had found something. Nothing materialistic, something within herself. The kalona moved swiftly in the shadows knowing that she should probably begin practicing staying out in the sunlight. Her aunt, Loveless, was right when she said that Keira should wander out of the shadows because there was a huge world beyond the shadows.
She slowed to a stop and looked around at her new surroundings. There was a clearing in the distance but there was just something that was stopping her from wanting to go out into the light. She knew that she would have to overcome this before she could go home and see her family.
