Manju knocked on the door and looked sideways at Eirys. He could tell the cat was nervous. "Trust me," he said. "It'll be fine. Eric's not that scary. And Solemn's cute and seems nice. Youll like her."
Eirys looked back at the fox but didn't say anything. Already he was regretting letting Manju talk him into this. But he knew he'd never find a life-mate if he didn't date, so here he stood. At the door to the quarters of an over-protective father so that he and Manju could ask to date his daughters. Eirys sighed. He just knew this was not going to turn out like Manju thought.

Eric opened the door and narrowed his eyes at Manju. "What do you want?" he asked. He still didn't trust the other fox. Then he saw Eirys. "Who's he, why are you here?" he asked.
Tressa poked her head in the backround to see who was at the door. When she saw Manju her face lit up. "Hi Manju! What, what are you doing here?" she asked. She couldn't keep the blush down.

Manju waved to Tressa. "Hey Tressa!" he said. Then he turned back to Eric. He jerked a thumb to indicate Eirys. "This is Eirys, sir. We've come to ask your permission to take your daughters out on a double date."
Eirys smiled and dipped his head in greeting. "Hello sir, it's nice to meet you."

If anything Eric's eyes narrowed more. "No." he said before trying to close the door.
"DAD!" Tressa cried out as she jumped forward and held the door open. "Why are you so difficult?"
"He's older than you and I don't like him. . . Or that other guy, he looks fishy." Eric said, glaring at Eirys.
"Well Gracie's younger than you and I don't like her, yet I still saw her giving you a massage the other day." Tressa said, glaring at her father.
Eric opened his mouth like her wanted to say something, but no words came out. She had him caught.

Eirys struggled to keep a straight face. "Sorry" he said. "I guess I sort of can understand sir. I mean, you don't know me. But I promise there will be no hanky-panky."
Manju turned and glared at Eirys. "Could you say anything more likely to get Eric even more riled?" he growled low.
Eirys bowed his head an mumbled. "I just meant to let him know he doesn't need to worry."
"I know that and you know that but he doesn't. He's the father you idiot." Manju then turned back to Eric. "Sorry about that sir. But I can truly promise that neither of us will try anything. Besides, I think Tressa would like to come. And... she really got you there..."

Eric turned to glare at Eirys again. Manju was right, that was probably the worst thing to say at the moment. Then he turned his attention to Manju. "It doesn't matter, who says you wouldn't do the same thing?"
"DAD!" Tressa nearly screamed. She stomped on her fathers foot. "I'm going with Manju whether I have your permission or not!"

"Well, I don't think that's quite such a - " Eirys started to say, but was cut off by Manju.
This time Manju ignored Eric, knowing that getting his permission was going to be impossible. He'd just have to prove himself on the date with Tressa. "Umm, Tressa? Where's your sister?" Manju asked. I don't think it's a good idea to leave without her; my friend here might be a little disappointed if we did."
Eirys just glared at Manju. If the dad said no, he was pretty sure it meant 'Hell no,' but Manju seemed bent on going through with the date anyway. And what could he do, stuck between these two stubborn foxes? Well, make that three if you counted Tressa...

"Oh! I'll go get her." Tressa said. Then she swiftly wove around her father and dissappeared.
Eric watched Tressa fly off and then turned back to the two in front of him. There was a tense silence as he glared at them.
(Now we wait for SCxL. XD)

"Mom, what will happen if dad does end up having children with someone other then you?" The teen asked as she looked over at her mom, amazed she was so calm about Eric having other children with someone other then her mother. "Will I ever find someone?"
"We both knew it was going to happen so I won't be troubled by it, we just hoped you two would understand why and would let it slide by." Saki replied to her daughter with a reassuring smile, "You'll find someone, just be patient...let him find you."

Tressa ran up to her sister and mother. "Solemn, Solemn! Manju and some other guy is here! The other one wants to ask you out!" she said excitedly. Then she turned to her mother. "Mom, can you do something with Dad? I think he's going to kill them. I could almost feel the his death glare towards them!"

"Ask me out? Really!?" Solemn said with excitement as she looked over at her mother, "Can I go? Please?" She pleaded while trying to regain a calm sense of emotion but she has never been on a date before so it was a new happiness.
Her mother simply nodded with a laugh, "I don't see why not, go on and have fun." Saki said as she stood up, straightening out her dress. "I'll find something that your dad will be amused by, I don't know what though."

Tressa smiled. "Come on Solemn!" she said as she took her sister's hand and led her back where Manju, Eric and Eirys were. She felt so happy right now. Manju wanted to ask her out, her sister was going to have a good time and her mother was taking care of her father.
Eric, meanwhile, was still glaring at Manju and Eirys. His tail flicked from side to side and he tapped his crossed arms with his fingers.

Eirys was extremely nervous. After a little while standing there, still in the hall with Eric just glaring at them he broke. He grabbed Manju's arm. "Come on Manju, this isn't right. Not without Eric's permission. Let's go."
Turning a glare on Eirys himself, Manju didn't say anything. He just brushed the cat's paw off his arm. Then he turned back to Eric once again. "May we please come in now? While we wait for the girls..." he asked, even though he knew the likely answer.

"Please do come in," Saki said as she walked over next to Eric with a smile. "It's very nice to meet you both, I'm Solemn and Tressa's mother." She placed a hand on the foxes back as to assure him that everything would be alright and that the young men seemed trustworthy enough.
Slowly Solemn made her way into the room where everyone stood, her heart was pounding against her chest as she caught sight of the feline whom was to be her date. Remembering her manners Solemn smiling pleasantly.

Eric looked at Saki and settled down slightly. He was still unsure about all this, yet he knew he couldn't stop it from happening. With a sigh he turned around and sat down in a chair, grumbling as he did so.
Tressa smiled at her sister and gave her a little shove towards Eirys. Then she ran forward and took Manju's hand. "O.K., you've met my parents, come on let's go." she said as she tried to tug him towards the door.
