THE GRASS FIELD!
The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making manuverability easy to those build to walk on land.

"Ah~" Renekai sighed, breathing in the fresh air. Bell was walking at Renekai's side, glowering. Recently, she had been refusing to go in her pokeball because of what happened at the mines. Still, Bell had to appreciate that they finally got the Grass Field, and not another Fire one...
"Hiiiii!" Renekai shouted to the other side of the stadium, waving. Renekai was battling a new trainer! Let's see what they can do!
Too bad it's not the Ice Field, for once, Bell thought grumpily before taking her position on the field.

"Wow, my first battle!" Sienna said as she entered the stadium and gazed over the grassy field. "Hi!" Sienna shouted back, and waved to Renekai on her side of the field. "You ready Frey?" Sienna asked her Pidgey, excited for the battle to begin.
Frey nodded with a 'Pidge' and fluttered to his place on the field.

"Let's start things off with an Ice Beam!" Renekai called happily.
Bell charged up a ball of bright blue light in her beak. When it grew too large, it moved slowly forward, until Bell fired it in a long beam all the way across the field. Though it was a ways up in the air, the grass below the beam became slightly frosted. Let's just hope that that pidgey becomes frosted too, Bell thought to herself. She was feeling grumpier than usual and wanted the battle over.
Renekai, meanwhile, was having fun. She always liked a good battle!

The Delibird's attack didn't miss and Frey was hit by the Ice Beam, becoming covered in frost and bits of gleaming ice.
"Shake it off Frey and follow up with a Quick Attack!" Sienna commanded. She was having fun, but Frey was turning into a snowball!
On it. Frey thought and took off with a Quick Attack, successfully getting rid of the frost, but not some of the ice clinging to his feathers.
The Pidgey lunged with as much speed as he could through the air at Bell in a Quick Attack

((Frey is weak against Ice, so the damage is 150, not 100. ^^; ))
"Dodge it, Bell!" Renekai called.
Bell leaped into the air, one foot carrying her bag.
"Use Focus Punch!" Renekai called.
For a moment, Bell focused all of her energy on her right wing, which glowed slightly, then dove at Frey, her wing pulled back in a 'fist' shape, and ready to punch Frey's socks off!

((Frey is also weak to Fighting types, so if this attack hits anywhere from 2-5, it is 150 damage.))

His opponent's 'fist' made contact with Frey as the Focus Punch was delivered. If he had been wearing socks, they would have indeed been long gone.
"Let's try Steel Wing this time!" Sienna shouted. 'This isn't looking very good for us with Frey's type disadvantages.', She thought.
Frey's wings began to glow, preparing to use Steel Wing. Closing the small distance the Focus Punch had knocked him back, Frey flew at Bell.

((WRONG.
Frey is part flying which is resistant to fighting, so that means Frey only takes 100 damage <3 ))

((Oh, sorry! I forgot about the flying part-- I was just thinking about the Normal. ^^; ))
"Ice Beam!" Renekai shouted.
Instead of wasting time dodging, Bell allowed the pidgey to approach, charging up a beam. When the steel wing hit her, Bell released the ice cold attack.

Frey was blasted with the Ice Beam, it was even colder than before since he was so close to it's source.
He was nearly chilled to the bone. I was just warming up from that last one too...Frey grumbled in his head.
"Steel Wing again!" Sienna called.
Starting up a Steel Wing once more, Frey adjusted some flight feathers and spun in a circle. His wings now like a steel blades, Frey spun towards Bell.

"Ice Beam, one more time!" Renekai shouted down to Bell.
Once more, Bell could waste no time in dodging. Instead, she fired several smaller Ice Beams at Frey, hoping that he wouldn't be able to dodge them if there were several.
"Keep it up, and we're fine," Renekai murmured to herself. They were winning, but Bell looked like she was getting a little tired. The pidgey, however, looked a lot worse for the wear.

Bell's tactic worked, and Frey was hit by one of the several Ice Beams. Covered from beak to talon in frost, Frey prepared to use Steel Wing for a third time.
Sienna noticed this and went along with it. "I guess it's fine since it's our most powerful move against an Ice-Type like Bell..." Sienna mumbled. She seemed not thrilled, but accepting with losing a battle. Frey on the other hand looked like he refused to lose at all costs. "Steel Wing!" Sienna shouted.
Frey dove out of the air in a stoop using as much power as he could, aiming for the Delibird with Steel Wing.

Renekai noticed that Frey had been charging a new Steel Wing and, in response to that, gave her own command almost before Frey had begun his attack. "Dodge and use Aurora Beam!"
Bell swiftly flew to one side, a multicolored ball of light forming in her beak. As the ball of light got bigger, smaller ranbow lights danced over the grass and ceiling. At last, when it had charged to the fullest and was now the size of a soccerball floating just outiside of Bell's beak, she released it towards Frey. At once, the Aurora Borealis took to the ceiling, the stunning lights flashing and dancing. Normally, the Aurora Borealis could only be seen at certain times in certain parts of the world-- and now it was there before them. There was hardly any time to admire the lights, however, for Frey was about to receive another real chill!

"Hang in there Frey! One last Steel Wing!" Sienna shouted.
Frey was now numb all over, frost and coldness seeping into his feathers. He launched his fourth Steel Wing attack at Bell.
Frey want to admire the pretty lights and colors created by the Aurora Beam, but everything was a blur as he dove at his opponent.
