The whisper of darkness rolled accross the savannah, the slow, lazy sinking of the sun beyond the horizon, flooded the barren lands with shadows. it was his time. The time when shadows were ripe andhe could walk about virtually any where, a shadow amongst the darkness.

Odd eyes surveyed the savannah, first the white, it's tiny pupil roving, taking in the whole world, the other, black as the ace of spades still. He stalked formt he shadows, appearing as if by magic, a ghost padding along in such silence. The birds had seemingly stopped singing to watch this lion pass. He smiled, an eerilie toothy smile, flashing white teeth long stained by blood. he was not out hunting, per'se, he wasn't really sure what he was out doing. he was just, out.

The darkness was coming; it was imminent and the lioness would have to find shelter soon or she would have yet another sleepless night. She paused momentarily, taking in the setting sun - trying to predict how much time she had left before it would hide itself away behind the horizon. It was times like this when she felt panicked, impatient to follow the sun whereever it went. Her light blue paws padded quickly across the yellow grass, bright purple eyes searching for a safe looking tree or rock. But subconsciously she knew; nothing was really safe in the wild.

As the vivid red, orange, yellow, and purple glows were waning in the sky, Subira's keen eyes spotted something dark. Black. Another lion. She hesitated, narrowing her eyes slightly, but continued to move forward in his direction, hoping he wouldn't take notice of her.

Perhaps in a way, it was never good to hope that those strange eyes wouldn't spot the soft blue on the horizon. His dark pelt shimmered witht he flames of the dying sun and that golden maned head turned with a snap to look, at the lioness. Both eyes fixed squarely on the lioness. Then, without a moments hesitation, he made a beeline for her.

Then, without a moments hesitation, he made a beeline for her.

Slender shoulders moved lythely, the svelte mucles moving beautifully, dangerously beneath that silky, charcoal coat. His smile faded slitly, the teeth no longer visable, though the lips still turned in a wide grin. "hello, my little friend, you seem lost." His wide wolf like lope braught him within ear shot within seconds, his stance seemingly presenting a stalk rather than a friendly approach. His mucles bunched as he pulled, dustily to a stop, his ears perking within his golden yellow mane.

She took a few steps back, away from the dark lion, hoping her action didn't come off as rude. "Little lost? Not so much," she replied, poised with dignity. The lion was quite big compared to her and thus had no intention of fighting him off at any point. But she was in a hurry; and this lion certainly wasn't helping her get anywhere. Subira desperately needed her sleep tonight and without a shelter, that wouldn't exactly be possible. She studied his strong build briefly and decided best that she try and walk away peacefully. "Now if you'll excuse me..." she began to move a little past him to his left, her ringed tail swishing naturally back and forth as if she wasn't scared half out of her wits.

Tiyatahmey chuckles quietly, it was an almost girly laugh under his breath as he moved to walk beside the female, his dark body pressed shoulder to shoulder with her, his white eye turned, tiny pupil roved to look at her as she walked. He wasn't going to let her walk away so easily. His interest was perked, why was she in so much of a hurry?

"Not lost?" he took in a deep, long breath, the air wheezing through his nostrils, his lungs taking in her scent and storing it forever in his memory. "Then frightened? You're not scared of me are you?" he smirked, a flash of a white tooth sparkling in the half light. His tongue lapped out over his lips, his gaze returning forwards as he walked beside her, his footsteps mimicing hers, though his pawsteps were silent, he was her shadow, for now, silent, dark, mysterious.

Should she be honest? Truthful? Yes, she was quite afraid of him, especially at this point of day. No one could predict what could happen. But he was a complete stranger, no more than an acquaintance at best. There was not much of a point to be honest with the fellow. They'd part their ways after today and she'd never see him again. "Mmm. Not frightened either good sir," she replied, a slight tone of sarcasm hidden behind her words. "Just in a hurry, that's all." She continued to walk forward, not turning to look at the male beside her. Now she was drifting aimlessly, unable to focus on her search. Taking a deep breath, the feline decided that she wouldn't get anywhere with this.

She slowed to a halt, finally facing her newly attained shadow. "Are you finished?" she asked politely, sitting on her rump. She could wait for this charade to end and then she'd be on her way in no time. There was no way this male would last tonight.

He sat as she did, facing off against her, his odd coloured eyes fixed on hers. "Sir? Oh no, I have never been one of those. My name is Tiyatahmey, be sure to pronounce it correctly now." he laughed again, his odd eyes still, fixed firmly on the femme before him.

"In a hurry, yet you sit? Should you not keep walking?" He tilted his head curiously, his gaze never wavering, those eyes never blinking. "Maybe I can help? You seem to be searching?"

"I suppose you can say I've hit a fork in the road," she eyed him coyly. "Pleased to meet you-" she chose to avoid saying his name for now. "My name is Subira, quite simple to pronounce I'd say." The lioness wasn't feeling the least bit uncomfortable being stared at, but yet again maintained her composure and sat up straight. She considered his offer for a moment, thinking it over in her mind. "Perhaps you can help," she began. "Y'see. I'm merely looking for shelter tonight. Seeing that you have time to follow me like this, perhaps you can assist me then." She shifted her blue paws across the dirt, clawing at the earth.

A quick quirk of the left side of hs mouth once again flashed that signature fang, his one black eye shimmered, and the dark laugh rolled off his lips. "Shelter? oh yes, there is shelter not too far away, i can lead the way, but you'll have to follow." perhaps it was a fairly obvious statement, but it seemed the dark male needed to say it. He waited then, waited for the other to stand his own dark tail flickering in the dirt, the golden flock of fur at the end capturing the dust and flicking it up in to a small, smokey cloud.

She stretched her hind legs and began following the male, uncertain but following without a choice. Perhaps she should have been grateful with him. He was helping her with her search after all. But an unusual fellow he was. Her striped ears twitched, alert for any signs of ambush or danger in general. Finding none, she relaxed her tense muscles and increased the speed of her pace to match Tiyatahmey's. "So... where is this shelter?" She asked curiously.

He looked with only a quick glance at the female before speaking. "The shadows." he stated simply, his gaze turned full on to the near distance. A darkness against the shadows showed up on the horizon. he smirked lightly. "I am, often surprised my little friend, that you get lost. Subira, why are you frightened? if it's not of me? I smelled it, it was wonderful, the scent of fear. The shadows hear it smell it. You should not be afraid in the dark. It attracts them."

he smiled breifly his ears twitching from left to right in an alert manner. "Afraid of alone? Alone is a frightening thing. I'v been alone for a looonnggggg time, very alone." he puurred his head turning almost spasmodically to stare at the female once again. You're not alone now though. No need to be afraid."

He sent shivers down her spine whether it be on purpose or just habitually. Did he know? How could he? He'd never met her before. There was no possibility that he would know of one of her greatest fears. What was this lion? A monster? Subira strained to keep a straight expression, not daring to look into Tiyatahmey's face again. She couldn't face him even if she tried. She wanted to stop, but her limbs were ignoring her; they followed the lion at their own pace. "P-please. Stop it," she dragged on, beginning to slow down. Her limbs ached, her head spinned, she just wanted him to leave her alone. She was beyond tears as the terror had overwhelmed her since the mention of shadows.

The jet black lion slowed, his golden mane falling over his odd eyes. His tongue lapped over his lips. "Stop what little friend? The only shelter is the shadows dens." He turned his nose to the object which was slowly drawing closer, at this distance it could be seen as a rock formation. "The shadows dens are empty but they are safe in the dark." he blinked owlishly and smirked his whole mouth flashing pale teeth.

"Pick up your feet now my little friend or you will never get there and the shadows will catch up to us." He leaned towards her and touched her shoulder with his dark muzzle. "Moove, run flee, your fears tell you to yet to sit and become tharn. Move, run, flee, it's only a heart beat away."

Subira's ears flattened against her skull, panicking. She desperately wished she hadn't followed this male. God, what had she done. The night was creeping closer and here she was - scared nearly to death by this stranger who seemed to know of her biggest fear. But once he had nudged her shoulder, she relaxed enough to begin moving forward. She turned her head, purple eyes wide with fear and uncertainty at the male. And then she ran. She ran as fast as she could towards the rock formation he had pointed out.

Thoughts vanished from her mind and comprehension disappeared. Running was the only thing in Subira's head. And here she was. Running towards the darkness. She didn't know or care whether the male was following her - darkness was bound to her - and with that darkness, the shadow stranger would follow.

He smirked the dark male watching her race towards the rocky outcrop his odd eyes fixed upon her until she vanished in tot he gloom. he chuckled and turned away slipping off in to the darkness, his jet black coat making him once again invisable, a ghost of the shadows.

His voice echoed through the darkness a quiet, insane laugh "Maybe I will come and see you again little friend." His laughter quietened as he slipped away through the darkness.
