That reminds me of my brother when he was going out with his cousin.
And yeah, that's common knowledge.

What a world we live in where cousins can marry.....
This is something i found kind of funny. When Kakuzawa's (the son) assistant brings in that bag of food, on the ramen cup it says "Cop Noodle." I found it kind of strange.

Maybe that's what the Japanese police eat when they're on a stakeout (as opposed to the American police eating donuts).

Hmm, I wonder though... In Canada, it is legal for a person to marry second cousins. But it's still greatly frowned upon...
In Japan, is it considered socially unacceptable to marry a relative, regardless of what the law states?

didn't you guys find it kind fo strange that when whatever the hell her name is, the one that mariko called 'mom', she said 'I bet she'll recognize me when she sees me.' before that she said she had never seen her before...

It's allowed in Japan. It's just one of those cultural things...to them, it's just like being with a friend from childhood. Besides...in America, we can marry third cousins. o.O
I'm sure there are many things Japan looks at in our culture that they find odd, or even disgusting. That's why no one pays any mind...we just of tolerate their culture, if not agree with it, and they tolerate ours.
