ROUND AND ROUND IT GOES....
A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on a picture of a volcano...
THE FIRE FIELD!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.

The short trainer stepped onto the platform on the west side of the field, eying the large rock pillars and the pit of boiling lava below. The idea of such a field made him extremely nervous, but the dark-type had battled on this ground before and, despite all the disadvantages, he had prevailed. Doubtless, the blind umbreon expected the same outcome; to walk away with another victory.
Kazuki looked down as the scarred pokemon trotted confidently toward the edge of the floor before leaping onto the nearest rock pillar, his eyes glowing blue as he saw the field through his trainers eyes. "Bre!"
The blue-eyed human waved across the huge stadium at their opponent, offering a thumbs-up. "Hi again, Pip! Good luck!"

Jaidev walked ahead of her purple haired trainer and upon reaching the platform gave a low growl. "Just have fun Jaidev. That's all this is about...and don't fall." she nervously said as she looked at the field they were battling on. Why did it have to be a field like this? Why? Ah wells. She watched as her cubone jumped with ease onto a rock pillar.
"Hey! Thanks!" she called out to Kazuki as she once more looked down at the lava. Hopefully she didn't fall. "Good luck to you as well!" All the while she kept thinking Don't look down! Don't look down! She could not wait for this battle to be over.
The cubone looked back at her, while shaking her own head. Boy was her trainer pathetic. "Cu. Bone." Jaidev said as if telling her trainer to get over herself.

Kazuki heaved a sigh, trying to relax, and smiled down at Ryou. "Okay buddy, here we go. This shouldn't be too hard compared to some of your other battles, ok?" He did want to go easy on Pip and Jaidev, but he knew the umbreon would simply stare at him like he was some sort of class a idiot. "Start out with a shadow ball!"
"Breon!" The dark-type said, ignoring the warm rock beneath his toes as several pinpricks of dark blue light appeared around him. They spun in place a moment before they began swirling around him in a circle, and as they did so they all swelled to the size of a soccer ball. With a determined growl, the scarred pokemon whipped around in a circle, seemingly batting the dark-type attack before the shadow balls were sent whizzing towards Jaidev.

"Jaidev watch out!" Pippeh called out as the shadow balls headed for the cubone. "Try to jump away from them!" she suggested as she watched her Jaidev battle. She really was no help at all. The trainer usually let the pokemon do what was best.
Jaidev jumped to another rock pillar but still got hit on the tail, which caused her to spin around a couple of times, almost falling to her utmost doom of a lava death. The cubone quickly corrected her balance and managed to stay on the pillar. "Oh thank god. Don't do that to me Jaidev!" Pippeh called out as she tried to catch her breath. "Try doing Double Kick!"
At the mention of the attack, Jaidev leaped from pillar to pillar nimbly. Reaching the pillar before the umbreon the cubone readied herself for her attack. Leaping from the pillar she flew towards the umberon with her right foot out completely aiming at the challenger.

"Look out, Ryou!" The anxious trainer called, his hands balled up into fists in front of his chin as he stared at the ongoing battle. How he managed not to faint during these things was a wonder even to himself.
The umbreon flicked his tail; he needed no reminder, he was fully aware of the incoming attack. The sudden shout startled him however, and he only had time to duck as the cubone's foot painfully grazed his back. He bared his fangs as he whipped his head around, aiming to bite her.

"Way to go Jaidev!" The purple haired trainer called out. Jaidev now standing on a pillar near the umbreon gave a small growl. She had completely missed his attempt on biting her. "Alright Jaidev! Seeing as it was so succesful the first time do Double Kick again!" she directed now feeling more confident in herself.
The cubone leaped once more from pillar to pillar as nimble as a cat, going around the pillars to gain speed. Upon reaching the pillar next to Ryou she leaped out using her left foot now instead. This cubone would not go down easily if she could help it.

Kazuki flailed and covered his face with his arms as Jaidev aimed at the scarred umbreon. Said pokemon managed to jump from the pillar he was on, but not before the cubone's kick nailed him in the leg. Instead of landing on the pillar he was aiming for, he fell and landed on a shorter one instead, giving his blue-eyed trainer quite the scare. "Natural gift!!" He gasped as he watched between his fingers.
The dark-type growled, the aspear berry that his trainer had given him earlier glowed dark blue as the blind pokemon focused in on Jaidev's aura. A dot of pale blue light formed in front of his forehead before it swelled, and the dark-type shot a powerful blast of ice at the bone-clad pokemon.
Super-effective, +50 if it hits

Jaidev got hit full on with the ice and fell of the pillar completely. "Jaidev! Nooo!" Pippeh cried out as tears started to form. The out of nowhere the cubone had flown back up and landed on the pillar it had fallen from. "Oh Jaidev!" she sniffled as she grabbed a tissue. Now was the time for some serious action.
"Use Bonemerang!" Jaidev grabbed her bone and swung it just like a boomerang at the Umberon's face. She gave a satisfied growl as she watched it fly through the air.

He couldn't help but wince as the ground pokemon fell down into the nets below, but thankfully they were there at all. He couldn't imagine having a field like this without the nets. The stadium people would probably be sued for millions, if not more. "Confuse ray!"
The dark-type jumped at the last second, the bone grazing his back as he leaped through the air, and the instant he landed, he shot a ray of blinding light towards the cubone, hoping to confuse her.

Jaidev grabbed her bone back as it came whizzing through the air. The confuse ray completely missed the cubone and for that Pippeh was glad. She didn't want to ever watch her 'baby' fall off the pillars ever again. Never ever ever! She had already made herself hate the field. Hopefully she never had to fight on this one again!
"Jaidev! Let's do another Double Kick and see how that goes!" She called out to her pokemon. Jaidev leaped off the pillar aiming for the umberon and hoped the other wasn't paying attention.

Unfortunately for Jaidev, Ryou was paying very close attention. He waited until the last second to swerve, allowing the ground-type to graze his side before he unleashed a bright flash of light the instant after, hoping the suddenness of the attack would ensure a direct hit.
"Nice job, Ryou!" He wasn't sure if the confuse ray had worked or not, but the dark-type's strategy was very clever.

Pippeh squeed in excitement as she saw her cubone doing really well against the more experienced battler. The second confuse ray she couldn't tell if it hit or not. It was to bright for her to see and she was still seeing spots! "Alright Jaidev lets try Fire Blast!" the trainer called out sounding very confident.
Jaidev gave a small growl almost preparing herself for her attack and then unleashed a huge blast of fire at the umbreon.
