The young stallion found himself walking alone, which wasn't a surprise, he seemed to be alone a lot lately. Except for Jacaranda he didn't seem to speak with anyone on a regular basis. Whining softly, he said a little more forceful then he should have,
"Randa! Where are you...I'm not in the mood to play today."The small raccoon sighed as she found her way out, "Calfuray, you aren't any fun...don't you think that maybe you'd be able to find someone else to talk to? To spend time with?"He shook his head, it was too soon he thought, there wouldn't be any way that he would be able to trust a mare again, let alone be able to speak to one. The one that broke his heart, there wouldn't ever be another like her. But then again what did he know. The day was clear the birds were singing and Jacaranda seemed to be in a good mood, perhaps today things could go his way.

 "Story I told you that things aren't bad. You see any rain in those clouds? Any at all? Come on for once why can't you be positive. I listen to you don't I?"
Stepping off with a swish of her tail the young mare tried ignoring her friend as best she could till she felt her mane being tugged on. "What is it this time?! No I'm not changing my mind so you can just forget it. Don't act like such a baby sheesh." Her breath exhaled as she walked along still trying to ignore the other. Sighing she stepped over a ridge and noted a few clouds. Maybe she is right... She noted a stallion in almost her coat's color with sparkling gold painted upon him. Suddenly she got an idea and nosed her friend, "Race ya..."
Picking up her head she began her decent down the hill as she raced... the wind? No one was running against her. Simply her own self was heading toward the stallion her laughter trailing along with her.

Calfuray looked up, what was the noise. It was too big for Jacaranda and yet it wasn't his imagination. Looking around he saw a mare, one with sparkles it seemed that dazzled upon her coat. She was laughing and running...right at him. His breath picked up as he looked about again Jacaranda was no where to be found and he felt that if he had called out he would only further make this mare come towards him.
"great..."
He mumbled as he tried to take cover, it seemed however, the mare had already had him in her sights and was going to see him wherever he would have chosen to hide. Perhaps she would get bored with him before he screamed like a mare and ran in to hiding. It wouldn't be the first time a mare terrified him.

She gleefully galloped toward him knowing she could always beat Story in any race or anything they always did together. Flicking her long tail she pulled in closer before she slowed down before running into him. When stopped she nodded with a bright smile to the stallion. "Morning. I decided to take a small gallop since today is so lovely." She looked at him with wide eyes realizing she may of possibly spooked him with her little display.
"Oh did I frighten you? I didn't mean to but Story... " she paused for a moment then remembered he like others couldn't see the other soquili either, "I mean I just decided to get some fresh air is all." Continuing to watch him she never stopped smiling as Muse didn't know sadness much like her grandmother.
"My name is Muse by the way. May I ask you yours by chance?" she asked with a toss of her head followed by a swish of her long silken two toned tail.
Muse adored meeting new faces and those that were wary of her she took the liberty to make feel welcome. Perhaps she'd make a friend this day... well as long as Story didn't bother her that is.

Dropping his guard for a moment did she say there was another Soquili mare with her? Looking about he didn't see anyone else, but he wasn't quiet sure what to say.
The small raccoon, Jacaranda finally popped out of nowhere, "Hello Muse, his name is Calfuray you can call him Cal. I'm Randa, or Jacaranda." Looking at him she sighed a little, "He's a little shy"
Cal happy that his one and only friend had arrived to help him out but embarrassed by what she had said to this, mare. Who he was actually looking over secretly.

Muse smiled watching the two trying not to even remotely notice Story was gawking at the both of them as always. Why was it they could never see her yet Muse could she wondered. Honestly it was rather annoying dealing with the whole mess. She distracted herself from the annoying companion to focus on Calfuray and his familiar Jacranda. The truth of him being shy made her eyes open widely concentrating on making him feel welcome.
"Don't worry I won't do anything to scare you Cal. I love meeting others and so does..., "she paused as her bottom lip pouted a little. She couldn't mention Story because they'd laugh at her. But Story wasn't one to be ignored either which was a big problem in Muse making friends among others. The generally thought her to be insane or unbalanced. Even her father looked at her in that light sadly.
"Its nice to meet the both of you really. I haven't made many friends though due to..." there it was again the mention of an invisible mare. How would she describe Story anyway when he couldn't see her. She was literally a childhood friend and to Muse was clear as day in appearance.
"Well lets just say some things to cover it all." she knew she was sounding impish speaking in tongues but it was the only way at the time. Cal was rather nice looking as well she thought lightly to herself.

Not completely sure what to say or do but feeling a bit stupid for letting Jacaranda do all the talking Cal finally nodded at Muse, and after a long and very awkward silence, he finally said rather slowly and deliberately. Thinking that Muse either had a friend in hiding or perhaps she was strange which didn't matter much to him since he was strange in his own right. Who ever heard of a stallion being deathly afraid of mares.
"It...is a pleasure to meet you milady. And your friend as well. I must...apologize for my friend Jacaranda, she...has a way of interrupting?"
Jacaranda smirked slightly as she noticed the way Cal was looking at the mare. Deciding that Cal could do worse she found herself back in the foliage to play with the shiny objects she could find.

Muse blushed all of a sudden being called Mi'lady. It was really strange and yet she loved the attention greatly. It made her feel like a princess standing there in his presence which was fascinating and yet odd.
Then there was Story and her situation. Great explaining an invisible Soquili to a stranger would surely make her look quite loony like her father warned her all the time. But if she ignore Story then she would hear it by the childish nature of the other. A usual head butt or worse always followed after for sure.
So being careful was highest priority.
That is till she felt her feet move underneath her along with a pain in her ribs. Oh great just great! Now he'll think I'm doing it on purpose. She pouted to herself then frowned. "She's uhh well right here but you can't see her Cal. Its why you don't see Story her because she's invisible. Really I'm not crazy I just..." she paused with a sigh, "like dad says I have a vivid imagination. Story doesn't like to be ignored." she looked hopeful to the stallion he wouldn't shun her like the rest - but really it was doubtful at this point. Things always ended up the same in the end.

He watched her quiet intently as she moved oddly as if someone had pushed her. Blinking a few times, he thought to himself perhaps he should have ran away screaming from this mare...it was bad enough he was having a hard time trying to stand there composed but let alone with a mare that was clearly deranged, it just topped the cake. Finally smiling he said,
"No...I wouldn't think that a...mare such as Story could be easily ignored. Perhaps over looked but never ignored. Story, my apologizes for ignoring you."
He hadn't even really looked Muse over very well until this point. His interests were suddenly peaked, she was to say the least breathtaking, which only made it harder for him. However, perhaps since she was in a different state of mind he didn't find her too threatening.

Muse blinked at Cal with wide eyes for he seemed rather tolerant of her annoying best friend. Imaginary yes but to Muse Story was as real as the name the other went by. The mare was never clear on how she saw her friend when others didn't - perhaps it was just a simple thing that they couldn't understand.
Turning to her side as if someone else was there she nodded and smiled back to Cal, "Story says its alright. She thinks its unfair I get all the attention when she's standing right next to me. But really Dad told me not to tell others about her because he thinks others won't like me." she sighed then tilted her head, "Do you think I'm crazy Cal?" It was an honest question and most likely anyone would think such things about her acting that silly. But what was she to do when Story was an attention hog? She literally worried about that daily most days.
Shaking her head she forced out that smile that stretched back to her grandmother's own happiness. "That was a bit rash asking that wasn't it? I just feel like everyone thinks I'm not right therefore they never talk to me."

Smiling softly he felt a little calmer,
"I do not think you are crazy Mi'lady. In I would say that compared to me you are much more in the realm of sanity."
Her smile, it had to have been the smile, because when she smiled again he didn't feel too terribly compelled to run screaming in the other direction. His mind wander slightly, she was sweet like his beloved had been, shaking his head of those thoughts he smiled once again.
"Mi'lady it was not rash, and I believe that with a wonderful smile such as yours you should not worry too much on what others might think of you and"
Giving a slight nod as if he could see Story and was acknowledging her.
"Story, in fact I find you both in good company"
He couldn't believe the words coming from his mouth so suave and calm. Almost as if he had never lost his touch at all.

Muse blinked, "Are you serious? I mean when I tell others... well about Story they laugh at me. I can't make anyone able to see her either. So I'm told I imagine it." she sighed looking directly at the phantasm known as Story.
How frustrating it was knowing when she ignored her friend she'd get a good head thrust for it in her shoulder. Boy did it hurt too! So Muse tried to stay neutral away from other soquili for that sole truth.
She smiled warmly at him carrying her mother and grandmother's open warm personality. He was so nice to her that she couldn't help but express it. He really did acknowledge Story and it made both her and her friend so content.
"Story says thank you for accepting her. If she could talk you would of course hear us both..." she smiled nodding her head, "but for now this will have to do. Oh thank you Cal you made me so happy now."
She was so pleased with all of this she couldn't help but like Cal and his charming way he made her feel. Such a gentleman he was in her eyes.

Calfuray chuckled slightly, he wasn't sure why he was being so nice, let alone so peaceful around this mare, and her friend. But it seemed to make her happy. He finally said with his head c**k to the side that he had seen Muse turn towards and asked as if asking Story but in reality asking Muse,
"So Story is your friend always this charming? Both of you ladies seem to be a great company and yet so sad in the same sense."
Looking directly at Muse and smiling charmingly,
"Milady you should never shy away from someone such as your friend there. I'm sure that it caused alot of hardship but..."
He thought for a moment then chuckled,
"But she like Randa...seem to have lead us to each other...perhaps we can be friends?"

For him to make her feel so at ease it was no wonder she openly agreed to his proposal. Even Story nodded her head with wide thankful eyes as Muse looked at her with a pretty smile. Someone to actually accept them, it was like a dream come true to the little indigo mare that rested in the clouds right now.
Story stuck her tongue out at Muse with a playful expression which in turn made the little mare giggle in spite of herself. This new beginning was something she could of dreamed upon since she was a foal. Cal was indeed a charming stallion and he was someone that she felt safe and happy around.
"Of course, " she answered in a bright optimistic tone, "I'd love to be your friend as would Story. I used to feel she was a burden.." she paused getting the evil eye of disappointment, "But now I understand that I was never alone either. She may be a pain but its like a sister I never had."

Smiling, he looked at Muse,
"Well...I will tell you what I think about it, burden or not visible or not having someone that you can converse with is always great pleasure."
He thought for a moment and said softly,
"Since you told me a secret perhaps you'd like to know mine...I'm scared of mares...well in particularly beautiful ones such as yourself. I've never been able to talk to them, at least after my previous mate left without warning. So I don't think having a good friend such as Story is something to shy away from. It's better then being too scared of being hurt again that you don't talk to anyone."
