Angel laid in the soft grass, staring up at the sky. It seemed to be just a bit past noon, and it was pretty clear outside, except for the white fluffy clouds that floated overhead. The warmth of the sun was making Angel feel sleepy. His eyelids became heavy, and he began to drift into his dreamland.

 Shauna winded her way through the grass, her eyes closed as she hummed quietly to herself. She always enjoyed the feeling of the midday sun on her fur and she swished her tail in contentment.

In his dream Angel was no longer on the soft grass, but on the sand, far away somewhere on a white sparkling beach. He could hear the waves crashing into the shore and a few seagulls as they flew overhead. And then...another sound came into earshot. It was soft and beautiful and Angel listened closer so that he could hear it more clearly. He drowned out the sound of the birds and the waves, and concentrated on the melody. Someone was singing. No...humming. Angel smiled began to hum also.

She stopped and opened her eyes, still humming. Someone else was joining in. She perked up her ears and looked around, trying to figure out from which direction the humming was coming from.
Suddenly she darted North across the field, bounding in a diagonal fashion back and forth like a young fawn, heading towards Angel.

Angel listened as the humming moved swiftly closer. In his dream, a beautiful goddess approached him. He smiled at the goddess as he sat up. He bowed to her in greeting and said, "Hello." He wasn't sure what else to say. He was somewhat awe struck. What was a normal namir like him supposed to say to a goddess?

She leaned over him and tilted her head. "Hello Darling." She smiled and padded a circle around him, looking him over. Was he really sleeping or was he just laying there with his eyes closed?

He grinned now at the goddess and tilted his head toward the ocean in his dream.
"Want to go for a swim?"

She frowned and looked down at him. "Swim Darling? We're in the middle of a field, are you feeling alright?"
She pressed her paw gently to his forehead. "You don't feel hot.."

At her touch he began to enter back into a wakeful state. He tilted his head and furrowed his brow, as if he was confused by something. Then he opened his eyes. He blinked a few times when he saw Shauna, and then his eyes widened and a bright smile lit his face.
"Hey!" he beamed. He sat up slowly and then chuckled. "I guess I was sleeping...hope I wasn't sleep talking." He smiled sheepishly, having completely forgotten his dream, and hoping he hadn't said anything strange.

She smiled down on him and stroked his head gently. 2You weren't saying much. Except about going for a swim, although I'm not sure where you'd find to go swimming around here, Darling."
She padded off a short way and started into the sky.
"It's nice out here isn't it?"

He nuzzled into her as she stroked him and laughed gently, "A swim?" He looked around and then added, "Haven't you ever heard of grass swimming?" he joked.
He followed her to where she stopped ad looked up at the sky with her. It was nice, and he now remembered looking up at the clouds before he had fallen asleep.
"Yeah," he agreed, "It is really nice. That must of been why I fell asleep. The grass is pretty comfy." He shrugged, "Not as comfy as another namir though."

Angel tilted his head, slightly confused.
"Hmm?" He looked at her, and then back to the spot in the sky where she was staring.
"Oh...well, I didn't mean anyone in particular. But you're someone who's really comfy!" he said, putting his head on her shoulder.

She looked at him and smiled softly. "Thank you, Darling." She put her arm around him and cuddled him.
"You're cute." She smirked and tickled him.

He nuzzled her, and then jumped away when she tickled him. He was very ticklish.
He laughed and then held his arms up defensively. "Hey now..." he chuckled, "what was that for?"
