Since the centaur in this guild come from many different backgrounds, I would like to discuss the way in which our characters will choose to speak! I think it would throw in an extra flavor of individual culture to each of us. Since in real life, one can surmise the origin of another from the way they talk, I'm sure it would be interesting if we put that concept into role playing, if it isn't too much of a hassle!
Words, tones, expressions; let's talk about these things and hopefully figure out new ways of expanding our characters! Lord knows I still need work on mine. sweatdrop

I'll toss the ball first! xD
Well, I'm still debating on my character's personality, but I may be leaning towards an insane type of individual driven mad by his own convictions. He's been in the darkness of the forest (temporary setting; due to change), alone. I'm thinking perhaps a language structure based on momentary periods of heavy breathing, some drool, and MAYBE broken sentences. Not too far towards Tarzaan speech, but not too close to William Shatner monologue.

My character is a crazy a** out of his head berserker for hire. He doesn't say more then he has to. But maniacal giggling is almost everpresent before and after he says things. Soft or loud it doesn't matter. He's pretty damn random. Meh.

Well, my character is a soft-spoken, nervous, pacifistic medic, who spends a little too much time in her various medical books, so she sometimes forgets that not everyone knows what the clinical term for Athlete's Hoof is. She often tries to sound professional, and older than she really is, but usually just ends up sounding somewhere between nervous and eccentric. sweatdrop

My character's moderately deep voiced and dressed very suave. He has a slight Spanish accent.
Despite his looks, he's not very smooth. He stumbles over his sentences a lot and has a habit of looking at his hooves when talking to people, especially women. He usually hangs out in the library.

My character... is shy, but when you get to know her, she is very bold and... loud, random, and happy.
But she hesitates a lot, and tries not to sound stupid, but ends up doing so many times. She ponders a lot on whether she sounds mean, and voices her thoughts. So, this leads to a soft voice, a lot of "um, uh..." and so on and so forth. She has a habit of biting her lower lip when nervous.
She may seem a b-i-t crazy, but is a very sensible.
Nothing I said made sense.
My character reflects off of me...

My character speaks very little, but when she does, she has a stern british accent. She finds too much talking to be annoying, especially since her profession is Rouge/Freelance, so many of the jobs she does requires stealth and silence.
She is a little cold, but not so much as to be completely heartless. When she speaks, she generally looks the person straight in the eyes.

My character speaks frankly at times but she means well. She's usually shy at first but once she gets to know you she'll talk up a storm. She's got a dark/dry sense of humor and takes matters of honor very seriously, so she tends to speak in a formal fashion around people she doesn't know.

As a border guard my character has been exposed to different types of speech and slang, so if there are any foreign centaurs she can usually effectively communicate. Being a rather direct individual, she has a very intent way of interacting, looking straight at the individual's eyes, without care or concern for comfort. Due to her lack of regard for expectations/impressions she drawls and skips over parts of words, especially in a casual setting or around people of familiarity. "Its all good" gets turned into "s'all good," and "I don't know" to "Iunno," etc.

Ra'Sona isn't a very cultured Centaur. While he's quite intelligent, he doesnt get the whole 'people skills' thing, and so is brutally honest in his mode of speech. He tends to back down if confronted, but will usually resume afterwards as if nothing happened. Despite being a thief, he is quite honest and looks on a promise as binding, so does not give out promises often. He tends to get distracted and go off on a tangent if the conversation is boring to him, and will change the subject point-blank if he doesn't want to talk about something.

Mot is a quiet person, so she'll express everything in a few words. Something that's very hard to do when you're trying to explain why you did something... But it's fun in some ways.

Arcana is a bold,Very southern girl.She picked up her slang for her moving around from place to place and doesn't hold back what she has on her mind.She likes to brag about her son and tease little ones lightly.She says "Aye" and not yes most of the time in less she is really angry then she will cuss and start speaking in her native tongue.

Would you say she has a high pitched voice similar to that of a japanese school girl (pardon the example, but it' the best I could think of)? What are some instances of her sense of humor? What is her honor?
