Time had moved so slowly as the days came and went with light and darkness. The summer was stretching onward as if it went on and on with no end. Hot humid days and rain pounded into the thirsting soil as it cried for more each day. Even the locusts sang their pitiful melodies as they too wept for more of that lifeforce that fell to Earth in a wet relaxation with soothing breaths. So was the days where the stallions, mares, and foals roamed among the blessed land creating a magical world for all the village folk to witness.
The stallion whom remembered a past of being like those creatures called two-leggers stood in an irritated state of mind where he wandered away from the busy life of others. He was more of a loner then anything yet he desired his friend's company which he'd openly deny at any given time. For months he had trained a filly in his ninja art; the practice of throwing a weapon called a kunai. An interesting coincidence in his eyes that she would be named after the very weapon she attached herself to. Barely able to throw a weapon as young as she was he set his priorities to train her with his superior methods, sometimes harsh and unbearably cruel. But Kunai was a tough little girl and she aimed to please her teacher above anything. Even if she'd falter the filly would always pick up her embarrassment with determination and clarity. Even in Naruto's eyes she was something of a gem, therefore both stallions made it priority to help her get stronger.
The filly though had her moments in life that became more of life lessons to both her and her sensei. For instance her run in with the Kalona colt Kawaran had proved disastrous and challenging. If it weren't for her teacher Sasuke she may of died that very day. So many things were unwritten in her life and yet she saw so much that single day with how everything progressed. She always learned from her mistakes and applied them to her teachings the males threw at her as she continued to mature. She was something the angeni stallion couldn't simply let go of so easily.

Through the summer a filly blue as the deep sea trained and excelled making her mentors proud and protective. She was only half their size yet she proved to both the optimistic Naruto and the cold Sasuke she could stand up and be ambitious like the best of them. Kunai had withstood a kalona attack with Sasuke's help and learned how to better her emotions by not being so curious. Though she did have bouts of her mother's trait when something seemed dazed or confusing to her. But through her questions and answers she kept growing more and more. She had witnessed how familiar and Soquili are one in the same when Sasuke and Naruto both became severed from their canine companions. The angeni nearing death frightened her and yet seeing his recovery thanks to Arwen, Celendria, and of course Tirranna made the child's heart and hopes so much stronger.
When she first stepped into the world she met her siblings and her parents. Like her mother both of Kunai's siblings carried those fluffy appendages her parents called wings whereas she like her father did not. Her eyes were so deep and crimson that she stood out among all of them but her father had granted her something extra special that day - a ninja headband like his own bearing the mark of his home village. Proudly did she accept such a gift wearing it over her one eye as her father did. He was a brave ninja so handsome and smart... she just had to become one herself. So Kunai made it her goal to become just like daddy and become who she was meant to be.
Stepping lightly out on her own the once small filly breathed her first true breath as an adult mare. Long graceful legs helped in supporting a delicate yet sturdy frame. Her face had lengthened as her mane had grown out though it still swayed upward then down resembling her father's own style. A perfect mixture of both her mother's line and her father's as well as her sister and brother.
Holding a kunai was rather easy now for the lithe mare as was throwing one with accuracy and dead on precision. She smirked in spite of herself gazing into a flowing stream she passed remarking how tall she'd grown and filled out. Her father had given her a vest like his own perhaps as a maturity gift, but she didn't ponder the reason only that she was her own ninja now. Thus why she deemed it finally the time to go visit two teachers that probably were worried sick over her. Well Naruto definitely would be but Sasuke... well he was Sasuke and didn't care much for anything. So the shock he'd receive would be genuine and possibly bring a smile to her velvety maw.
Moving along she came upon a grassy knoll in the area recognizing a familiar tree where she had trained for many days. Kunai also blinked twice noticing the angeni stallion standing there as if he were waiting for her to arrive. Had he done this daily she wondered to herself. The thought was a bit heart wrenching if he really did care about her at all really so she set a plan in motion. Moving in rather quietly she used a smooth yet flawless stride till she was in range of the tree. Pulling her head back she held her stance then swung forward letting the kunai excel toward its target brushing just inches from her sensei.

Sasuke was in his sour state of mind cursing himself for a girl that gave up on her teachings and decided to do things her way. He hated himself day after day because deep down he did care for the little runt. She was too determined to simply give up her training and become just some ordinary horse when she grew up. So why was he so fussy and emo over the fact Kunai had deserted him he complained silently to himself. Dobe. Heh you're waiting on a star to fall that never will. Face it she's not coming back. Won't that be icing for Naruto heh. Things were just changing without him he figured.
His eyes were closed as he breathed in the fresh air catching onto a familiar yet foreign scent. Flicking his eyes open the great stallion turned his head just barely before the glint of silver sped past him and lodged in the tree. He snorted with a narrowed gaze as he noted the kunai embedded in the base of the tree. Sasuke's eyes widened as he turned toward the source of the thrown weapon.
What he saw nearly made him choke for his memory of a small little filly finally filled out in a mold of an adult mare. She was simply stunning as tall as she'd grown and matured into a lithe creature with a soft delicate profile. Her mane was longer yet it grew not like any soquili he knew. And she reminded him so much of... no it couldn't be.... He narrowed his gaze in contemplation letting the first name of his past flood his memories; Hatake Kakashi. How was it possible and was it explainable that the missing ninja who was her father was none other then his original cel leader Kakashi he stammered. Now the true question that nailed him with so much force was this... Were there others that were here from Konoha as well? It was too much... too damn much as he clenched his eyes shut before reopening them again.
Clearing his throat finally he spoke or rather asked a question, "Kunai? Is that... you?" He was clearly in shock and hearing her mature voice would be something of a whole new ballgame for him.

She knew it as he took notice to her that her little display had indeed caught the usually cold stallion's attention. It had been at least two months that she had chosen to spend time with her parents and siblings rather then take her lessons from Sasuke and Naruto. Besides they had their own differences to work out between themselves and Kunai didn't want to get in their way of dealing with it. So she simply excused herself and spent time with her family while still practicing to use her weapon in the meantime.
Now she had decided it was time to tie loose ends once more.
"Sasuke sensei you looked as if you've seen a ghost, " she chuckled with a soft look upon her maw. "Of course its me silly. Tell me have you been waiting here since I left?" Yes the thought sounded quite silly but she did ponder it with how he was acting. Kunai knew Sasuke would scold her for it was in his nature treating her like child as he always had before. But it wouldn't be her teacher of the icy heart not to follow such a routine.
"I'm sorry I left like I did or disappeared rather. I just felt you and Naruto had things to work out between yourselves is all. Besides mother and father wished me to stay home for a bit as family... like I should have a while back really. It was something I should have considered but well I...." she paused for a moment, "Well I wanted to continue my training because both you and Naruto were willing to teach me." Smiling she watched him trying to read that cold interior and what was swimming within the stallion's mind. She was ready for the lecture and eager to hear the progress the two stallions had made on their own. Though they had their differences Kunai knew Sasuke and Naruto were somehow more connected then they let on.
Even through all that hell with their potential deaths the duo of stallions were the closest of friends Kunai had ever witnessed besides family. Their random insults just seemed to be triggers for how they felt about one another. Perhaps they never noticed in their everyday lives, but as Kunai grew into her adult personality she understood and noticed how bonded they really were. Thus why she had left on her own terms hoping they both would agree and understand what she saw.
"So how have Naruto sensei and you been with me back home? You're not quarreling too much are you?" she teased with a soft yet lyrical tone that spoke very well since her persona was an adult now.

The stallion's eyes furrowed even more, his icy gaze sinking into her like the artic winds. But in truth it was more of a pleasing vigil he was making because she was simply... Damn Kunai you look nice. Ack What the hell am I saying you Dobe stop gonking over the runt. He scolded himself internally still mesmerized over how she had grown so elegantly. Sasuke was never one to eve admit a girl was his cup of tea. Annoying, loud, and utterly enough to craw under your skin with their squealing and as he called it "fangirling".
What is fangirling he wondered momentarily staring at her with glazed eyes. Simply put annoying girls that thought the world of him. His looks and perfect techniques were everything a girl could swoon and god forbid lust after. Thus why he avoided the lot of them and their shrieking squeals of adoration. It made him sick thinking how females were that damn scary at times. But Kunai herself was much different in the way she carried herself.
"Naruto? Heh the Dobe is off frolicking in a meadow for all I care. Him and that orange menace can just go on their little explorations without me for once. Heh they're better off without me and Sharingan."
"For once you have a valid point, " came the voice of a familiar irritation to the stallion. The wolf chuckled to himself as he wagged his tail seeing the grown mare. "Hello there gorgeous. Heh I see Sasuke is still staring at you. Must be a good thing."
Sasuke narrowed his eyes kicking outward at the wolf knowing full well the wolf was correct. He was drowning literally in her new look and it was frightening to the large male. He hated girls basically loathed them and their foolish ideals. But this girl was different in his eyes and it felt odd.
"Shut up Sharingan. When I want information I'll ask the peanut gallery other then you. Go fetch a stick or bone like you're supposed to moron." he smirked acting as if he were going to kick the wolf again but decided against it. With Kunai gone for so long he himself had matured on his own without Naruto to bother him. Still he rested on the thought of how it just wasn't the same without the blond around. He often wondered if he was creating a complex situation within his mind that he never admitted to. But the thought of... No he wouldn't consider something sounding so odd and repulsive. Naruto was Naruto and he'd always be that annoying pain in the a** that could never beat an Uchiha.
"Oh come now Uchiha look at her... she's so pretty now and you can't admit it. Heh I bet Uzumaki is going to drop to his knees in front of her. Who knows she may be your downfall and you'll loose Naruto forever kheh kheh kheh." He snickered as he slinked in closer to the mare knowing he hit a nerve with the tall stallion.
