The story will start somewhere around the shippuden era and will end who knows when.

~Rules!~
1. I will state once again that this is a literate role play. That means 4 scentences at least, and no * or ^ for actions.
2. Punctuation and Captialization is a must.........But spelling won't be critizied......
3. Use size 10 or 11 font. It keeps the work neat.
4. An obvious....but follow all the original guild rules... X3
5. Violence and romance are both accepted and encouraged.

With exceptional skill and years of work, he'd rise to the rank of Chunnin. However, his rebound was cut short after a mis-hap during a mission caused him to go blind. The bright morning sun peaked over the sand dunes and the playful rays caught the attention of a small calico kitten and her young companion. "Meeow!" The kitten-like sound echoed from the chest of the calico feline.
"Yes... The sunrise is very beautiful..." The brunette sat beside her comrade and murmered praise to the art of the world. After praise was given, she stood, brushed the sand off of her, and walked with long strides towards the village. "What are are plans today, Cyan?" She playfully asked her kitten to which no reply, not even a meow, was given...

Kuzo, catching a beam of sunlight in the face, wakes up with a yawn then a sigh. "another day, another chance to get lucky...oww..and another headache" he said as he recoiled at the sight of light, squinting his eyes.
"Well I better get up and get dressed, I gatta go search some more desert today...and hopefully find something out there worth a look this time" Kuzo laughs sarcastically, "hell I don't know why I keep doing this everyday but I guess it's better than just staying inside all the time" he said with a slight hint of depression as he went to put on his shirt.

Nashi's ears tweaked at a small laugh followed by a few words. She froze and glanced at Cyan, whose fur stood at end and eyes glowed with her scared red tint. "Go see what it is!" She whispered to her companion, who responded with a quick no mew. Nashi sighed inwardly and quietly crept forward and promptly fell over, landing on Cyan who screeched loudly with annoyance.

"hmm?" Kuzo stopped brushing his teeth suddenly to look out his window, curious about a loud sound that worsened his headache. "who is that?" looking outside his apartment window to see a young ninja who seemed to have put their face into a furry pillow laying in the sand. "Hey! Are you alright?!" he yelled

Cyan, fully annoyed now, crawled comically out from under Nashi's face. The brunette lifted her head and spat out sand and fur. "Yuck..." She glanced up as the boy yelled at her then turned a bright shade of red. "Y..Yes. I am fine." Fine and embarrassed... She thought she ought to add. She sat cross-legged as Cyan grinned at cat grin at her master's clumsiness.

"Oh my...hey I think you've been outside too long!...you've got a blood red sunburn on your face!" Kuzo yelled. "You should probibly come inside, I've got medicine that might help ya out..." Kuzo blinked dumbfoundedly as he examined the young ninja again. "Wow...she's kinda cute" he said in a normal toned voice so that the young Kunoichi couldn't easily hear him. "I'll be down in a second to open the door, ok?" he said as he stumbled out his room door to the stairs.

Nashi glanced at Cyan, who shrug her cat shoulders as if in careless doubt. "Eh. I say we give him a chance..." She whispered quietly to the scowling cat. Cyan unsheathed her claws and swiped at the house as if to hit the older boy. "You are too cautious, Cyan-chan" Nashi laughed gently, with a slight strange feeling then tilted her head to the side. "Sunburn?" She walked, with the confused expression still plastered on her face, towards the door.

Kuzo starts to open the door thinking this hopefully won't take long, but then realizing he really had nothing to do except search sand dunes all day, he put on a smile before the door was opened all the way. "This is the desert ya know....can't be staying out too long without the proper protection" he said. "Come on I've got an aloe plant upstairs that will cool down that burn you've got...your little friend can come too" looking down at the Kunoichi's feline companion

Nashi hesitated before walking inside.
"Meooow!" Cyan hissed, grumbling in her cat way.
Nashi translated in a hushed whisper, meant for her own ears. "I know Ma and Pa always said to never talk to strangers! Do you think I am five?!"
Cyan narrowed her eyes in defense and stalked into the house with her nose and tail in the air. The picture of prissy annoyance. Nashi sighed, and looked up at the fellow ninja, the blush returning upon seeing the fellow up close. 'Perhaps this burn won't be going away with aloe...' She thought, then giggled slightly.

The fingers on Ikari's hand flexed... Today would mark the 5th year since the day that he'd lost his eyesight. He wasn't angry per se but he was extremely bitter. He began to fish around in his pocket for a cigarette, and once he found one he lit it and tug a drag waiting for the rush of nicotine to hit. Ikari soon tossed it to the floor and ground it in with his heels; the world was outlined in a soft black and white. "...And here, we, go..."

"you might want to hold your pets there...the land lord might get mad if animals wonder around here....come on my rooms this way" Kuzo said pointing to the stairs... "I've got some aloe plants I keep for such an occasion...oh and some green tea if you like. By the way, umm what's your name if you don't mind me asking?"

Nashi gave a slightly confused look. "Pet? Oh, Cyan isn't a pet..." She glanced away, then returned her sharp black eyes towards the stairs. She nodded briskly then grinned. "Oh, where are my manners... My name is Fukurou Namida." She bowed slightly. "You may call me Nashi if you like. What might your name be?" She asked politely.
