He had never gone very far, he knew better than to wander away from his mother, she had told him of the bad things in the world, and these made him frightened. Still, fear couldn't stop him from exploreing on his own, though he wasn't really exploreing.
The cub wandered along in a daze, following his paws, he could see a shadow before him that was not his own, great wing like structures spread out above him. This was not his shadow, who's was it though? Following the path it lead him down the youngster, stopped abruptly and lifted his head.
Perhaps he had wandered too far already? Looking around, the daze he was in had vanished as quickly as it had come. Njaa'sugu licked his lips and blinked owlishly. Where was he? Where had that shadow taken him? Letting out a scratchy meow of a call, he sat slowly, his small tail wrapping around one hind leg. He was most certainly lost. Why had the shadow braught him here?

Rishi was tired. But that was nothing new. He was always tired, or at least it seemed that way to him, whenever he had a spare moment to ponder it. He tended to spend most of his time sleeping. His dreams were a sort of escape, but he never knew what he was trying to escape. There was nothing for him to fear in reality, other than loneliness, though it had never bothered him much before. He knew that he was waiting and looking for something, but he was perfectly content to wait and let that come to him. He didn't mind being lonely until then.
A soft sound nearby pulled Rishi away from his thoughts and stopped him in mid yawn. Was that a . . . meow? It almost sounded as though there was a cub nearby. But what would a young cub be doing out so far in the rogue lands. There were no prides nearby. Rishi had made sure of that.
His curiosity perked, Rishi moved swiftly through the tall grass in the direction of the sound. Using his nose, he sniffed around to confirm his suspicions. It was a cub. Shaking his head with worry, Rishi moved faster. There was no good reason for a cub to be out here.

Small tufted ears twitched as the sound of someone close by perked his interest. It didn't sound like his mother. Scenting the air he reached for what he thought should bte that clear motherly scent of him being rescued. All he got though was male, a heady, heavy scent which filled his nostrils. Furrowing his tiny brow he waited, he was going to be found if he liked it or not.
Licking his lips he peered in a partially worried fashion through the long grasses, waiting for whom ever was approaching to appear. The shadow whisked past his eyes once again and it braught with it, peace, quiet, he was going to be okay.
How odd that he would know that before even meeting this stranger in the wilds. Perhaps the shadow did have a purpose, he just wished he knew what it was and why it had gotten him lost in the first place.
