Who says Haunted houses don't exist? Or aren't fun? If you came across one today, how would you react? Thats what we're about to find out.
On a regular road that winds on to some place, somewhere you want to go, there is a path that takes its own route. People have decided to follow it willingly, while others tend to not pay attention. Even curious travelers come to wonder what might be down there.
So, imagine, say; you are to walk this path. And again, imagine that you come to a dark track, covered with cobwebs and dirt. Then, as the area widens and opens up to greet you, a large wooden house rises over the horizon. It's tall, and just as dark, yet compels you to take a closer look. Maybe take some pictures, or just snoop around some.
As you come closer, a loud noise snaps and cracks from the house, and the door opens. Well...thats new...right?
Or maybe not. (More to come maybe) this RP is for Riyo and Saiya.

"Yeah. Nice short cut genius."
Riyo commented to her formal companion. "I told you that there's no other way to that antique shop, but you just had to prove me wrong, didn't you?"
"Would you rather Alucard stroll with you?" Was his blunt return to the sarcastic undertones of his mistress. Her answer to his question was a simple glare and silence.
"Honestly, I didn't take you out here to go to an antique shop. I wanted to see something else." Riyo raised an eyebrow and was about to start yelling when Mr. Golden-eyes pointed down an old path. "I saw this in passing one day."
"It's... A path."
"Oh? I thought it might've been an interstate."
"Touche."
A short battle of words and they were on their way down said path... And it only seemed to get curiouser the farther they went...
Moving the cobwebs out of the way, they continued on, minds now intrigued at how long it must've been since someone went this way.
And then... A house. A big wooden house that sorta reminded her of home. "That's it?" Riyo asked with a raised eyebrow while Cain continued toward the house, stopping in his tracks at the loud noise that echoed through the area... And then the door opened.
Cain looked back at Riyo, a smirk showing. "Still not impressed?'

"Tell me again why we had to bring the demon?" Bluish eyes flashes a ting of red, before baring white sharp teeth at the Yellow beast now following in her direction.
Susan clicked her Camera on, adjusted the view and- "Because he needs exorcise" Simple reply, however.
"Couldn't he get that at home, where he's less likely to run off after some human?" Layla felt her hair, trying to come up with her owners answer before she did.
The road didn't seem to be very busy, and as she was a Photographer, there was very good chance they'd come across somewhere to take pictures in this not often taken track. Her sandy-red hair was tied up in a lose bun, with strands falling out this way and that. She stuck her finger on the button and took a picture of Layla glaring at her.
Susan smiled innocently. "He must get bored, don't you think? In any case we aren't far from home, so it doesn't matter. I just wanted to find a good spot to take photos and then we'll go back!"
The Naga stared at her for longer than a minute while she fussed over which way to go. Insane, that is what all of this was. And SHE was stuck Bander-sitting. Glancing over her toned shoulder, the yellow/brown/thing gave a grunt and drooled. "Lovely".
After careful deliberation, the human chose the much interesting path. "I want to see what is down here, won't take long." Clicking her sandles on the ground, and then the floor started to become dirt and dust.
Layla found it awfully uncomfortable, but the humid air made it better for her and she slid gracefully behind as the monstrosity came in last. It didn't take long, maybe would have been even less time if all the spider webs hadn't held them up-"EWWW GET IT OFF" and annoyed everyone "Stop squirming!!"
Eventually, a house loomed in the distance, and Susan stopped to consider the angle, before taking a picture. "Wow it looks kind of scary. We should take a look!"
All three moved forwards, though not without comment from one angry Snake. ("Can't we just go back, really you are testing my patience with this!")
Just as she was considering doing what her pet wanted, the door opened loudly, and most ominously. "Ok...that was freaky!" Taking a step closer, she blinked into the dark entrance, before some light flickered and went out. 'Huh'.
"We are not going in." Layla snarled, but it was too late because her owner was already through the door.

When Cain had finally convinced Riyo to follow him in, the snarky remarks and sarcastic comment battle continued.
"Should've brought my pipe organ with me. This seems like the perfect occasion to play it."
Outdated furniture, candles galore, and don't forget just a kiss of cobwebs. Riyo folded her arms in front of her and took everything in.
"Feels just like home, doesn't it?" Ohhhh, shot to the groin. Though, besides the cobwebs and tasteless furniture, it did have about the same eerie air.
Riyo took this opportunity to dust off the couch cushion and sit down. Dirt didn't bother her as much as it might've appeared. She took a moment to admire the old material that covered said piece of furniture. "So... Why exactly did you have the urge to take this little adventure?"
Cain, who was busy examining the old wallpapered walls, looked back with a cocky smile. "Mysteries have always peeked my interests."
"Just like women, right?"
"Please. I'm not some womanizer who takes every opportunity to secure a new lay every night." He rolled his eyes as he spoke, and continued on with his examination.
"No. Of course not. You're just an incubus."
But before Cain had a chance to reply, Riyo heard voices just outside of the house. "Great. Now we're gonna be charged with breaking and entering." She snapped at him.
"Hey, you know as well as I do that the door opened by itself!"
"Goddamnit, just keep it down and hide.." She whispered as she jumped over the couch and snugged herself right between it's back and the wall. Cain quickly followed her actions and scooted down next to her. Not the best hiding spots but it's not like visibility was high in this dark place.

The floor was a sneeze fest for Susan, and she tried to cover them up quietly though it wasn't working. "HACHOO!!" Sniffle. "Urgh does no one clean this place?" She brushed another, yet much smaller, cobweb away. She turned to see Layla swallowing a spider "oh gross."
The snake just gave her a bored look. "I am using energy to keep neanderthal under control, fuel is required." Her jewelry moved as a wind brushed past and everyones hair was fluttering and then- BANG!
"The door...it...shut!" Susan moved over to try and open it, but there was no luck. Her fingers trembled and she started to feel hot. Layla pulled her back and hissed to keep calm, before she tried to move her into the next room which was lit with candles.
"We'll find a way out, I hate to say I told you so but.." Snatch jerked and lurched, making strange noises at the couch that was pushed up against the wall. Layla stuck out her tongue to taste the air, but it was so musty...all she could pick up was a faint tinge of some living being.
Susan shoved her camera into its carry-case and zipped it up, watching the both of them curiously. Her eyes flickered to the couch, and she stepped back a little, just in case. Her initial fear had almost gone but, who knew what was in this room, right? "Is...someone there?"

Well, Riyo's initial fears of this being their company's home were shot down the drain. The words they spoke made it apparent that they hadn't been here before. And... Wait. What neanderthal? She shot Cain a suspicious glance and just about jumped when the sudden noise of the door slamming caught her off guard. She was too old for all this excitement, that was for sure.
Riyo's head peeked over the couch, just enough that her red eyes shone through the faint darkness. "Yes indeed there is, young lady." Riyo commented, her voice slightly muffled by the dusty couch. Her eyebrow raised as she looked at... Whatever the hell the thing with the yellow fur was. "What is... That creature?"
Cain's yellow eyes also lifted up to view their company. Though his first went to the half woman, half snake. "A... Naga?" In these parts? That was certainly different.

After getting over the shock of seeing two red eyes peeking out at her, Susan glanced in Snatch's direction before clearing her throat. "Ah, he's...complicated." She said, trying to come up with the right words.
She gripped her camera-bag strap tightly and gave a shaky smile, "So, do you uhhh..." she glanced around the room and blinked "What I mean to say is-" here she coughed, and then held out her hand feeling awkward. "My name is Susan, and this is Layla and Snatch."
The former didn't move, staring at both of the new comers evenly, and the latter twitched in his hypnotic state, smelling the tempting kill just mere meters ahead.
The Snake glanced at the guy who'd spoken his question openly, and smirked. "It would seem so. I am half snake after all." She moved a red strand of hair from her face, her green nails and jewelry shone in the candle light briefly and Layla's tail moved a fraction, she was restless being cooped up in the house. "Maybe we should start our search for the exit. May I ask if you two intend to help? Or are you fine here?"
Susan was about to reply, however there was a strange, low sound that seemed to come from another place entirely. It...was almost like, singing? A soft, eerie female voice sang words that she couldn't understand. Layla turned to the door to this seemingly proclaimed living room. "Now that is weird, maybe someone else is here?" The human asked, walking slowly past her companions and to the entrance of the hallway, in which the singing stopped and a shriek echoed around all of the walls, before dying down. "Wha?" She felt almost nauseous thinking about what caused the woman to make such an awful sound.

Complicated? Sure looked like it. When Riyo realized they meant no harm... Well, all accept for maybe the yellow one, she stood up and shook the hand that was offered to her. "I'm Riyo. And this is Cain."
Cain also stood and looked at the group, quietly observing them all without a word. "Charmed." Was all he replied to being introduced to everyone.
Both Riyo and Cain froze at the noises that were coming from this house. "Now it really feels like home." Riyo mumbled to Cain, referring to their previous conversation before they were joined by the trio.
Looking back to the naga for a moment, Riyo gave a sigh. "I would much rather be on my way, so of course we will be helping."
Her attention was then concentrated on the sounds coming from the hall. "Oh dear lord!" She shouted as a shriek pierced the airwaves. Both Cain and herself covered their ears, teeth cringing."Sounds like a banshee." the tall woman commented.
She took a few steps toward the hallway to take a peek down that way. "I don't know if that's a sign to go farther in or stay the hell here."

"I think we should leave this place fast as possible, even if that means vacating this room. Who knows if we're safer in this one, than any other?" Layla nudged her human in the back, making her step out and glare back at her.
The Snake waited until everyone had passed into the hallway, if not on their own, being shoved out by her. She didn't mean to be rude, but her instincts told her whatever was in the house, didn't confine itself to one area. Safety first, she told everyone. Its better in numbers no one would split up and no one was left behind. Even the stupid Beast loping behind her slowly.
After walking the very narrow, only one at a time hallway, Susan thought about the new friends they had made and asked, in a quiet voice while looking at Cain. "An, what are you?"
Her hand almost itched to take pictures of them, in their full glory and unique self. Even Riyo's red eyes and features captivated her artistic senses in the way a Writer or Painter may jot down their new subject.

Cain and Riyo didn't wait to be pushed down the hallway by a naga. They were rushin' as best as they could. Layla wasn't the only one with bad feelings. Cain felt it too.
Riyo? Well, she sure as hell wasn't showing it if she was experiencing that little thing called fear. If anything, admiration shone through those red eyes. A dusty house it was, but she sorta liked it.
At the question she guessed was directed toward Cain, her eyes also went to him.
"Whatever could you mean? Do I look like some kind of mutant?" He raised a brow. Defensive much?
Riyo could only smirk at his answer as she continued to look around at the rickety old house in all it's glory. "I'm still waiting for an answer to what Mr. Drools back there is." Her thumb pointed back at the big yellow and brown... Thing. Was it a man? She probably didn't want to know. "Oh, and another question while I'm on a roll, what're you guys doing here?" She'd probably have to answer that question herself sooner or later, but she asked first.

"Mutant?" Susan bit the bottom of her lip, and smiled up at him before pulling out her treasured possession, and snapping her shot of Cain. "No, not a mutant, however you seem different from me, who is human and I have Layla and my other friends so, I happen to know there are things out there. It was a question of curiosity." She'd stopped, standing in front of everyone. Her obviously expensive attire, one lose yet form fitting shirt and her skirt cluttered with dust from the house.
Wondering how best to answer Riyo about Snatch, she looked at his dull eyes and jutted her jaw out in thought. "Well, I was TOLD he is a Bandersnatch, however I can't really explain what that is exactly."
Layla sighed from behind everyone else and glanced ahead, to see the stairs leading up to the rest of the house. Past those stairs you could see more at this level, but the scream had definitely come from up. Her body extra sensitive to vibrations.
The Naga caught the last question with fast reflexes before Susan could blush her way through her now incoherent answer about Photographs and 'Landscapes.'
"I believe you would call it snooping. My Human wanted pictures of this place, the moment we saw it. I tried to stop her but, not easy." Tilting her head to the right, and allowing some hair to fall on her shoulder, the snake's bright eyes glittered. "So what about the both of you? What does a house like this hold for you?"
Snatch grunted and his claws dug into his palms, indicating his frustration at being withheld from fresh meat. They really should find a way out soon. Layla looked onwards and, in a low voice said. "Onwards, or up?"

"Agh!" Cain yelped as his picture was snapped without his immediate realization of what was happening. His arms flew up in front of his face in vein. She'd gotten it. And that was bad. "That was quite rude!" He shouted angrily and looked at her with distaste apparent in his golden eyes. For on the picture, there would be evidence that he was, in fact, different. Horns, possibly wings if the camera had been lucky enough...
Riyo kept her displeasure to herself as the picture was taken. Great, now it was obvious that there was something wrong with them... "Snooping too, I suppose."
Cain, who was rubbing his eyes, gave a sigh. "Not snooping, exploring."
At that comment, Riyo shook her head. "Sure, if you want to be a 6 year old about it. We're exploring then."
At the Naga's question, Riyo looked in both directions for a moment. "... Up sounds good." She walked slowly towards the staircase as she spoke. Rickety old thing, that's for sure.

She was slightly remorseful, and knew it had been rude, but that didn't make her apologize in the least. She'd grown up in circumstances that change a young child into a spoilt brat. Not that she was Spoilt...no not at all. She had a job, even if she only worked for the pleasure rather than necessity. Susan wrapped the cord of her Camera around her neck, and then decided upon the answer to Cain's outburst.
"Maybe it was but I'm sure you'll survive me having one small picture for my scrap book."
Hearing them comment on whether its snooping or exploring, she looked around for a minute again, at the top where they apparently were going. She let Riyo take the lead, and then followed behind. The dull shadows above didn't give anything away except that very little light survived.
Layla slithered from the back keeping her eye on Snatch and her hold too. If he got lose she'd be in for it, thats for sure. Her bright red hair tickled her back as she went from one rickety step to the next. "Great craftsmanship, this" she muttered sarcastically at the shotty work done on the wood.
"Isn't it?!" Susan exclaimed happily, enjoying the old and worn architecture. The Naga shook her head in dismay at her owner.
Soon as everyone made it to the top, a door down the left banged loudly closed and you could hear whispering. Susan shivered now, her elation gone. "I wonder what that was..." she said very low, looking to the new companions.

As Riyo daintily walked herself up the stairs, Cain followed close behind, making a face at the feelings this place gave him.
And, at the loud slam, she turned around to examine where it had come from. "Cute. Real cute." She mumbled and rubbed her chin.
Cain gave a simple shrug and a sigh. "Oh, we've fallen for the trap. Whatever shall we do?"
"Lets run around like chickens with our heads cut off! That's what they do in the movies, after all." Was Riyo scared? Obviously not. Since she was mocking the situation as a whole. Or maybe that's how she dealt with her fear. Though... It was doubtful.
Both of them giggled at their little situation and looked to Susan. "Probably something. Possibly nothing." Riyo replied and began looking around the area once more.

She didn't really like the fact that noises were freaking her out and these two seemed not bothered at all. In fact, you could say the woman felt mildly annoyed. At herself or them was debatable, probably the former. "It really didn't sound like nothing." Her face contorted into confusion, and she let one hand rest upon a decaying wall beside her.
Layla felt vibrations below her scales, and listened intently trying to decide where it was coming from. "As much fun as this is, the fact remains we may not be alone in the house. Maybe others have been stuck here, but we wont find out by standing around in a hallway." Her brown scales shimmered as a touch of light turned on down one way.
"That's new" she mumbled. And the bulb then shattered, the dark once again returning.
Susan moved a little closer to her snake companion and smiled tightly. "You know what, I'm done looking at this house. I got some great pictures, we met people so lets try the door again, yeah?" As she swiveled around, her mouth fell to the floor seeing what was stairs, was now just a door.
Layla raised an eyebrow. "Interesting development."
