Vikali yawned as she moved through the pridelands, tail flicking in an easy manner behind her. Twilight had decended upon the lands and she was enjoying her alone time immensely, the cubs were back at her den and she assumed Koy would be keeping an eye on them. Even if she did not, Vi figured they were old enough to be left alone for short periods of time. She and her sisters, after all, had been exploring away from their parents just as young.
She smiled fondly as she thoguht of her sisters and hoped that she would be able to see them soon, spend time with them. She had not been around her family since the birth of her cubs, partially because she wanted to prove to her mother that she could do it all on her own. But now she knew she yearned for their company, wanted to know what they'd gotten to in their lives. She wondered if either of her sisters had settled down yet... she chuckled at the thought and shook her head a little, ears flicking and body suddenly going tense as she heard a snap of a twig. Instantly she let her body sink close to the ground and her bright eyes darted along the tall grass.

A reddish color male bearing a silver mane and tail currently was curled up next to a rock near tall grasses. He had come to this land a few days ago, and hadn't really wanted to continue to move, so here he would stay. The male yawned, his deep brown eyes squinting from just waking up. His silver mane shined against the stars and moon as he lifted, shaking his body to remove any excess dirt he had acquired on him.
He scanned the area, staring at the large rock in the distance. It amazed him how it became there, and how it house a large pride of lions. Shaking his head, he sauntered away from his sleep spot, heading towards teh tall grass. His dark red body was easily concealed in the dark, however, when mornign approached, his pelt would stick out like a sore thumb.

Her bright blue eyes flickered over an odd patch of silver, then doubled back and remained on it, because the color stood out in the pridelands. She took a deep breath and began to creep forward, taking in the male's scent. Something about it was familiar to her scenses, but she really couldn't put her paw on what.
Her ears flicked up slightly as she listened, making sure no others were around. He didn't smell like a pridelander. "You there," She called out, her voice loud enough for him to hear but not carrying much farther than that. "What are you doing in these lands?" Vi had no problem assuming he was an outsider, or acting as some sort of authority.

His dark eyes turned at the voice, ears perking forward at the tone of the other's voice. He shifted, sitting down for a moment, studying the female. Her fur wasn't rugged or matted, looked fairly cleaned compared to rogue femmes, so she must be one of this pride. He could help but grin slightly, given the golden female a question look. "Just lookin'." He stated simply, still watching her.
"It is okay to look, yes?" He flashed a grin, ducking his head down as his shoulders raised in a stretching manner. He gazed up at the stars. They looked almost more brighter here, than some of the other lands he had visited. "I take it you are a pridelander?" He nodded, assuming her answer was a yes.

Vi scowled at the tone in his voice as he stated he was just looking. She moved forward, eyes narrowed. "Looking?" She repeated, her tone was stoney. "I do believe you can see just fine from the other side of the boarder." Really Vi could be quite rediculous, considering the pridelands was usually very friendly and easy going about strangers. Vikali disliked outsiders in the pridelands though, unless they really did intend to join. Usually this was not the case. Outsiders belonged on the outside, she was fine encountering them when she left her lands but why did they have to invaid?
His friendly manner easily got on her nerves and she rolled her eyes slightly. "Looking is fine, as long as you're not touching." She gestured with a paw. "And you, boy, are touching." Though he was older than her, she could easily tell that, she still reffered to the male as boy. At his obvious question she just snorted. "I take it your a few thoughts short of being a genious." She was insulting the male, telling him he was not very intelligent even if he'd guessed such an obvious thing.
Her body shifted and she'd moved to stand in front of him, her tail was now lashing behind her. "Tell me, boy, are you visiting someone here, who's part of these lands?"

"Really? What if I told you my eyesight was terrible, and I had to be up close and personal with that I am looking at?" Though, his eyesight was perfectly fine, he wanted to make a point. He stood up, closing in on the female, just staring at her, trying to focus his eyes. "Besides, I need to get to the boarder onto the other side, and I would rather not pass through the lands where lions hunted others," Here, he was probably assuming the firekin lands.
"My dear, my dear. /This/ would be touching," At this, his tail lifted and grazed just softly across the lionesses tail. "Other than that, I am just looking." He flashed his grin again, hopefully his actions wouldn't anger the lioness too much. She to have a short temper as it were.
At her last question he shook his large head, flings of dirt still popping off. "Mm can't say that I am. I heard my father had cubs here, but those were just rumors. Like I said early, I am just passing through to get to the otherside. Wanderer I am, perhaps you should try it?" It might lighten you up. Ukir snorted, add the last part silently.

Vikali rolled her eyes, "If such a thing were true I would say that you were weak and deserved to perish. I do not think the gods should cater to such weak lions who lack skills or have poor eyesight." She hissed, she had not been watching him as she spoke, her gaze had floated to the east as she heard some prey stirring up, she could hear their calls to one another. Perhaps a lioness was on the hunt, or a small group of them in the least. As she turned her gaze back to them she yelped slightly in surprise at how close his face was to her own and stumbled back, her fur beginning to fluff to make her look bigger. She was actually a bit bigger than average for a pridelander female, though that had something to do with her bloodline that she would never know, because her mother had never spoken much about it. "If you come that close again.." She warned in a sneer, though it was easy to see such actions did make her a bit nervous.
Her tail jerked away from him and she could feel her claws dig into the slightly hard earth beneath them. She did not like this male, not one bit. He was very obnoxious and sarcastic, he didn't even seem strong. She bared her teeth at him as she started to slip past. "Well you should hurry. No point in milling about if you are headed somewhere else." She snapped, feeling more than done with being in his presence. As he mentioned she should try such a thing she scoffed and looked over her shoulder. "I've seen the world, and there's nothing very surprising out there. This is my home, here is where my family is. Now if scum like you would stop coming through these lands perhaps I would feel a lot better about leaving my children on their own. Or like I could have a peaceful outing by myself without running into a moron." Her tail flicked again and she just shoved a forced, cheeky, smile onto her maw as she tried to conclude their meeting.

Ouch, harsh. "You're just a pocket full of sunshine, aren't you?" He muttered under his breath, but really she could hear what he had exactly said. "I thought Pridelanders were suppose to be all happy and go lucky when it came to rogues? Right now, you are giving your pride a terrible, terrible reputation." His deep brown eyes gazed into her bright blue ones, "You wouldn't want other lions thinking terribly about your lovely pride, would you?" For a slight second, Ukir held a frown, but instantaenously it was a smile again.
"If I come that close again you'll what?" At this, he couldn't help but let out a hearty laugh.
"Honey," Hey...that name suited the lioness. Her pelt was as golden like a jar of honey! This could really prove interesting. "That snarl does not suit such a lady like yourself." When her fur bristled, her size didn't faze the rogue one bit.
"Are you sure you've seen it all?" He asked. "You must have missed the places I've been. Water as far as the eye can see, water frozen ontop of the heighest peaks, and even an area where vegetation is in so much abundance, it makes this place look like the Outlands." He said. In his childhood, the male had done a lot of traveling, having stories to tell about most of the lands. "But a little princess like you probably wouldn't want to break a nail leaving the soft dirt here." Was he just trying to push her buttons?

She snorted and shook her head lightly, disgusted. What was it with all of this crap about the pridelanders being dainty and lovey-dovey? It made Vikali sick, if only because it painted a picture of a very weak pride in her mind. It was one thing to be kind to those who wished to be a part of the bigger picture, but a different thing entirely if she was supposed to being so sweet to lions who just came into the lands for a few days at a time to hunt the pridelands prey and perhaps do a bit more with the locals. "And what if I think my pride already has a terrible reputation? The reputation of pushovers." She spat out, physically spitting onto the ground, tail still lashing as she continued to retreat. Honestly, did rogues really think it was good and dandy to be considered a push-over? She would hope not.
She ignored his second comment, thinking privately to herself that if he came that close to her again with no need of it she'd rip his balls off and stuff them down her throat. A slow grin came onto her maw and she wondered what he might just say to that... with the way he was going on with things he probably didn't believe her. Her ears pinned to the back of her head at his nickname for her and her steps slowed. In the name of the gods what the hell was wrong with males? Disgusting pigs, the lot of them. "And lack of a brain doesn't suit anyone, including yourself rogue." She snapped back, she'd fully stopped walking now. Her muscles were tense and she was thinking perhaps she should just go slash him up a bit... she was not as full of herself as her mother though, she did actually think most males were stronger than their female counterparts, even just from size. Still, females were more agile and in this case much more intelligent. This guy could make a warthog seem a genious!
She snorted and started to turn around, he was really getting on her nerves. "What good is water as far as the eye can see if the tongue can not lap it up, if it will never quench a lion's thirst?" She indeed had seen such sights with her mother, he knew nothing about her! She had never seen frozen water though, she'd never been into the mountains, and while she would not boast of doing something she'd not done in life she would also not admit to not doing it! If he was speaking of the great jungles when he was talking about such awesome vegetation she would laugh in his face. She'd never been inside it, but her mother and her had been worried about all of the growth. So great it would be hard to navigate in, probably. She had began to move back towards him, slowly at first. Someone should teach this idiot to just shut up! A little princess? A snarl was held fast to her lips as she started to run the last paces, launching herself at him with her claws out. "Hah! I'll break a nail on your face, you know you really shouldn't assume so much... you rogues sicken me!"

“Well… I know you do not think to terribly about your pride, seeing as you are still here living in it. Hence, might idea was right, and you are just being a…pain in the rear, I guess you would say it?” When he heard the part about the reputation of pushovers, he couldn’t help but smirk. “So, honey, does this mean /you/ are a pushover as well. After all, you do reside here?” He laughed slightly, just inking the female on. She had such a short temper, Ukir couldn’t help but continue to push and push at her. Eventually she would bite back, but the crimson male was willing to take that chance.
The adult male with the silver mane shrugged. “I do not need brain to live out on my own. I just need skills.” He stood, his tail curling around one of his back paws. He watched her muscles tense, obviously she was getting very angry. He was surprised steam was not bursting from her ears, or any other orifice for that matter.
“Adventure?” It was a simply answer. Being a rogue meant you can go anywhere you please and do anything you want. Pride life trapped you into a certain lifestyle, one that could not be freed to easily from. Apparently, this female was stuck in it all too well. “And it brings anew to this place.” He added on at the end. When she began to run at him, his eyes widened slightly, ducking down to miss her pounce. “I bet your parents were once rogues, or maybe it was your grandparents, eh?” He smirked, tail lashing out as he stood, prepared for the next attack the female decided to place on him.

She landed with a thud several places behind him, on all fours. He'd moved out of the way and it just fueled her anger and annoyance. She straightened with a snarl on her lips, turning slowly to regard him with an icey gaze. "Don't call me honey and I am sure any astute observer could see, by now, I am no where near close a pushover." She growled at him, trying to keep her tone even. Right, he was trying to get her pissed. And it was working.
So he admitted he was brainless? Vikali let out a slightly taunting chuckle, shaking her head softly. "So go live on your own, rogue, and stop invaiding pridelands as you please." She did not mean just the Pridelands, but all lands. Rogues thought they held the good life, going wherever they pleased whenever it fit their fancy but as long as Vi caught any in the pridelands who obviously had no intentions to leave she'd try and give them hell. They were like maggots on a carcuss; the longer you left that carcuss in the sun alone the more maggots would multiply.
She scoffed at his answer and shook her head. "Typical. Adventure..." She sneered out his own words, making it sound disgusting and unworthy. "You and your kind do not bring anything here but problems, if all that you do is stay in our lands for a few days. I bet half of you speak to no member in the lands, if you can help it. And I bet all of you have hunted on this dirt and some point or another, taking our pray." She was starting to walk slowly toward him this time, but she still had all intentions of raking her claws across his face. "You entice our children away to a life of food when you can, a den when it's been abandoned, many enemies and few friends besides the same type of dirty, homeless bastards." It was obvious she was afraid this actually would happen to her cubs, enticed by the thought of adventure and living 'freely'. But not as many prides were as accepting as the pridelands to visiters. Many areas held scarce food supply and she was well aware many, like herself, would hate a rogue souly for the fact that a rogue they were! Rogues always made it sound as if it was some amazing life, finding 'adventure' and riches and having females here and there, running into amazing males.
Vikali sneered at the thought her cubs could ever be enticed by such things, when more than half the rogues out there never did find adventure, and usually they mulled about in one place, prideless and alone. She did not want her cubs to grow apart, she did have pride in her family even if they'd not met most of her immediate family. She was still afraid they would react like her mother had; ashamed she would raise b*****d cubs. "You paint such an optimistic picture of the rogue life, but I am well aware it is harder than all of you would have us pridecats believe. It is a pity you think us so soft and ignorent of the ways of the world..." And she suddenly lunged again, this time she was pretty close and she hoped the talking had distracted him at least in part.

There was that snarl again. He kneaded the ground softly, his claws extended and retracting as he pawed the ground. He could call her honey if he really wanted too, after all, it was a free country. But if she didn’t like it, he would stop, with that name at least. A smirk rose to his maw, flashing his fangs. “I guess you are right, sweetheart.” Hey, it wasn’t honey, nor was it princess. She never said anything about not calling her any other pet names. Next time, he should try kitten.
“Once again, last time I checked, the pridelands were open to anyone who wanted to stay.” At this, he stretched his paws out onto the ground. “You know, I think I might just stay here, would you be so kind to lead me to whomever is in charge?” He gave her a grin. He knew he was joking, but she didn’t have to. If she knew he was staying, that would just make her even angrier. In a few minutes he would stop and be on his merry way away from the female, but Ukir was just having so much fun! His ears flickered slightly as his eyes rolled in his head. “We rogues do not entice your children to do anything. Survival of the fittest, we do what we must to stay alive. Come on Kitten, you have no sense of anything, do you?”
“Hey, I never said rogue life was easy.” The crimson male shrugged. “Like I said, we do what we must. Sometimes it’s a good thing, other times it’s bad…” he murmured. “A pity?” but before he could elaborate, the lioness had smashed into him, knocking him to the ground. With a raised snarl, the male unsheathed his claws, raising them up to get the female off of him.

She was fuming each time he called her something different, but it wasn't as if she was going to offer her name to the big meat-head. She tried to ignore the comment as much as she could; pet names almost on the same level as rogues on her most-hated list.
"Yes, open to anyone who wanted to stay," She spat the words in his face, struggling to speak properly as she tried to get at his smug little face with her claws. "Not those.... who wish to.. use it as a pit stop.." Was he thick skulled or what? Obviously the thickness of his skull had left little room for brains to develope. He just wasn't listening to what she was saying! Sure she was being a b***h about it, but she also knew her points were really valid, and good. He just kept pointing out that rogues were basically free to do as they wished in the pridelands, but it wasn't as if they didn't already do that where ever they went! This was probably why she did not have many companions outside of her family; she hated dealing with others that held such pointless opinions. Masses of Minions, slaves to stupidity.
He never said rogue life was easy! She growled as she jerked away from one of his paws, snarling as his other hit into her shoulder. "Sure, you just stated it was one grand adventure.. you're ever... the optimist... I see.." And then she raised one paw up and it came slashing down toward his face, her chest heaving and she was panting from the effort not to be thrown off of him, because she wanted to scar his pretty little face more than anything. He deserved it!

Instead of saying anything, the crimson heartless focused rather on avoiding the sharp claws beaming down from the golden fury atop of him. Squirming, he shifted his back feet so they rested on her stomach, before kicking out. As much as he didn’t want to hurt the female, she was asking for it, and this was the only way the male could get the pridelander of him. Growling, he pounced on the female, wanting to pin her like she had just done to him. He smirked when his paws were on either side of her, before looking straight into the bright blue eyes. “Do not underestimate rogues.” He sneered back to her. “We have more power than those like you estimate.” His eyes narrowed, before backing up off the female and sitting down.
He gave her a slight nod, lifting his paw to his face to clean himself. A small trickle of blood he could feel by his cheek. Ukir blinked, the red blood matched his pelt. Hmm. He shrugged, battle scars were okay, they just proved how strong he was to get into fights. At least, that was the story he would tell others if they would ask. Being in a fight with a female was something that he did not want to tell other females. The would ruin his reputation! Or…just diginity.

As his hind paws kicked into her stomach she could feel all of the air rush from her lungs and her body lift up, she probably would have yowled if she'd had any breath left. She grunted as her body hit the ground, the pain sending a bit of shock through her spine. She lay there a minute, trying to regain her breath, pissed.
She wheezed and coughed as she rolled to her side, pulling her body up from the dirt. As he began to speak her eyes flicked up, the vicious scowl still on her face mixed with slight indications that she was in pain, and locked onto his. Her own gaze narrowed and she shook her head softly. "Who said I underestimated anyone, idiot?" Her voice was quiet and slightly broken up as she breathed heavily.
He was going to drive her mad with all of his assumptions and idiotic words, she needed to leave. At least she could retain some sort of her pride from this, though she still believed everything she'd said to the male. And when she spied the blood on his cheek, if only from the light cast upon the liquid red, she felt her maw perk up in a slight smile. At least she'd done some harm.
"If you knew what was good for you, you'd get out." She growled out before turning to go, though her steps were gingerly taken and she knew her muscles would be protesting the next morning. Her tail lashed behind her but she held her head high as she went.
