Okay they should make a first-person shooter using two things. The Balance board and the Wii Zapper. So you walk on the board and your character walks and you shoot with the Zapper! Don't you think that would be a great game? You also could replace the Zapper with just the Wii Remote for a sword instead of a gun.

A cool idea, but pricey. It should definitely be an option in some games.

That actually sounds like a great idea, but just the walking part... Would you just step, or actually have to shift your feet across the board? If just stepping, then it wouldn't be so bad. If walking, then they'd have to make the board a bit bigger. >.>

My brother and I were talking about that same idea. And we both think it will be cool.

How bout this: You just sit down, rest your feet on the balance board and shift your weight to "walk". And we all lean to the side whenever we're taking massive bulletage, so that we would be an option. Of course a more abrupt lean would be a strafe. Adjustable sensitivity plz.
I've thought about this the moment Wii Fit was unveiled at E3. It would take a lot of work to make, but I'd still appreciate the developer for trying even if it ended up sucking.

Doable, but most likely hard. Because with the shifting weight to dodge bullets, there'd be interference with the Wii-motes, after all, you can already dodge punches in Wii boxing with the 'motes.

As soon as the balance board was announced I thought it would be awesome if it was used in a third person adventure game like Zelda. But still, it's the same idea. Using the board to move. It'd be awesome even if it sucked.

Pretty good idea, excpet for one problem.
How do you walk on the Balance Board? Unless you might be referring to walking-in-place (a walking version of jog-in-place.)

I suppose it would work Implement a special slow-motion leaning dodge system, then we've got a game

Hmm, a decent idea. I don't know how walking works on the balance board because I don't have one. So I can't fully critique it. But definitely a sweet idea. Combining peripherals like that is pricey but a great way to make awesome games.
@Allegro: Oh man, I've only played that game once, and it was on a Dreamcast in the West Edmonton Mall. Totally great memory, and totally great idea.

******** no. 1. Way to gimmicky. 2. Lazy me is lazy. I know many other gamers are as well. I'd only be able to play 15 minutes a day and unless it had one of the most compelling stories ever I'd probably lose intrest and trade it away to one of my more motivated friends for a game that allowed me to be lazy.
