THE FIRE FIELD!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.

Renekai came into the stadium swaeting. "Why is it so-- oh..." Renekai said, spotting the fire field. "Bell isn't going to like this..." Bracing herself, Renekai tossed Bell's pokeball into the air, causing the Delibird to come out.
"Heya, Bell," Renekai said, trying to sound cheerful. "This heat will create some wonderful thermals, making it nice and easy to fly, don't you think?"
Bell gave Renekai a disgusted look before flying into position. Instead of standing on the hot rock, Bell flew just above it. It was true that the heat made flying easier, but it was so uncomfortable that Bell wasn't about to agree with Renekai on any subject.
"This is another battle with Prince, Bell," Renekai said. "Get ready; this won't be easy!"

Luna was running full speed towards the stadium with Prince's large shadow infront of her. Darn him and his fast wings. "Waaaaaaaaaait up Priiiiiiince!" Luna yelled, finally making it into the stadium. She then sprinted to her trainer platform and grasped onto the railings while catching her breath as her pidgeot circled around the field cheerfully.
Prince soared through the sky effortlessly, enjoying the nice conditions for flight. They pidgeot glanced down at Bell and immediately recognized the delibird from the journey to the mines. "Geooooo~!" Prince greated from above.
Back down at the trainer platform, Luna realized that Bell was female. Crap. The greeting meerly SOUNDED friendly, any second now, he was probably going to wolf whistle or something. Luna slapped her forehead, she really needed to restrict Prince from battling any female birds ever again.

Bell gave a reluctant, "Bir!" in reply to the greeting, much to Renekai's surprise. Bell remembered Prince as well, and liked him a little more than she liked most pokemon. He had, after all, shown her the best berries in Nine's garden. Still, this was a fight, and she would do her best to win.
Renekai thought about battle tactics, deciding that there was only one way to win. This would be a very difficult battle, but if they had a bit of luck... "We're ready!" Renekai called.

"Ready? To get defeated?" Luna asked Renekai, giving a small chuckle. She took one last deep breath to mentally prepare herself for the battle. "Okay then, Prince, let's start this out with a feather dance!" Prince and Bell had pretty close HP. And with all the supereffective hits being exchanged, a small stat-boost on their side would help secure her victory.
"Ge." Prince replied, flying over Bell. In this battle, he would show the Delibird that he not only had good looks, he also had strength. Several downfeathers fell on Bell, lowering her will to attack from the beautiful sight of glistening feathers drifting downwards and coating her.

Renekai exhaled slowly, trying to calm herself. So Prince went for a stat change first? All for the best. Time to get a grip on the situation! This was when the luck that Renekai so desperately needed would come. "Ice Beam! We have to freeze him!"
Bell stared. Is she mad? This is the FIRE FIELD! Bell thought angrily. Fat chance an Ice Beam would hold for long in such drastic conditions!
"Just do it before he gets away!" Renekai shouted, now her turn to be a little angry. By shouting the order, Renekai had given her plan away. Every second was crucial! "Ice Beam!"
Bell flew higher into the air, a blue orb forming in her beak. Taking careful aim, Bell fired the freezing cold attack.

Luna grinned at her opponent's attack. It seems that Rene had forgotten Prince was one of Luna's status-shruggers. He could easily get rid of a status with a move that most pokemon did not have the fortune of having. "Sorry Rene, but this is PRINCE. Refresh!"
Prince barely had time to hear his trainer before he was struck with the icebeam attack. In no time, he was encased in ice, but that had never stopped him. The pidgeot started to glow blue within the ice which soon melted in a matter of seconds and allowed the pidgeot to fly before he even hit a pillar. "Geoo!" Prince said triumphantly, flapping a few times to regain his former altitude.

((WHAT? .... Since it's coming from you, it must be allowed, but I've never heard of that... And.. It was such a good roll! ;____; Now I really am doomed...))
Renekai blinked. She HAD forgotten about that... There went her plan, broken in a million pieces. This spelled disaster! "Note to self: NEVER battle Prince ever again," Renekai muttered. "Ice Beam!" Renekai commanded dejectedly.
Bell shot another beam at Prince, her own spirit dropping as she sensed doom coming. Still, she would do her best, though she would fail!

"And I thought you would be smarter than that Rene...tsktsk." Luna teased the other trainer. Seeing her opponent's miserable face cheered her up immensely. She wondered how Renekai would react to her next move..."Okay Prince, NATURAL GIFT!"
The small green Micle berry tied onto Prince's leg began to glow. Prince knew Renekai had probably faced another one of his teammates using natural gift before, so he wasted no time in summoning hot rocks from one of the pillars to fly upwards towards Bell while he flew upwards from the icebeam attack. Thankfully for him, the icebeam didn't do much. The earlier featherdance had weakened the attack and it was only a minor hit on his left leg.

"DODGE IT BELL!" Renekai screeched. Not that attack!
Bell flew between the hot rocks, swerving away from each one just in time. Bell hated that attack even more than Renekai did! Any attack using rocks was simply barbaric... and painful.
"Aurora Beam!"
Bell fired a colorful beam at Prince to lower his attack.

The wide range of the stat-changing Aurora Beam attack managed to nail the swift pidgeot. Prince let a "ge" of annoyance when he felt his strength sapped away. Luna also looked at the attack with dread. Prince did not have any moves to up his attack or lower Bell's defense...unless he used THAT move. "Well, it's worth a shot. Prince, try using Curse!"
The pidgeot gave a slight nod as he glowed red. Immediately, Prince felt his strength return and gave a loud triumphant cry. Now it was time to assert his dominance.

((What? What does Curse do? You're really destroying ALL of my battle tactics. -__- ))
Renekai frowned. This was not turning out well! In that case, there was only one way to go about this: keep attacking and hope you get lucky with critical hits and that your enemy gets misses. It didn't help that the dreaded attack-- Natural Gift-- would now surely be coming in full force. "Darn it. This is all wrong..." Renekai muttered. "Luna is just too good of a trainer with too good of a pokemon... Ice Beam!"
Bell, charged and fired her Ice Beam, hoping upon hope that she might be able to win the battle
