D'you ever feel like the most horrible person in the world when you quit your guild for no better reason other then your new one has more 70's?
I only did it because my first guild sucked...
So, what reasons do you have for leaving your long-loved guild? Or not loved, in which case you really don't need a reason.
Uh... rephrase!
Do you ever get any flack for leaving your guildies behind to move up in the wonderful World of Warcraft?

Generally I get kinda irked at people who don't even say goodbye before they leave.

I left my first guild because I was the only person in it. I left my second because I was the only person in it still active. I left my third one, well, my third one left me first by accidently kicking me when I was on holiday but when I got reinvited into it a couple of months later the guild disbanded (not because of me). I'm still in my fourth guild, even though they all left me to play AoC, they all came back again. lol That's the guild history of my main. smile
Other toons.. I don't leave guilds unless I really have to.

My first guild was an intense raiding guild with 400+ members, got /gdisband after a shitlaod of drama, second guild was my cousin guild and it got boring cus they was only like 2 people on at all times, then join the 'Super Guild', which got /Gdisband, then I join the Sanity, which I had /gquit rejoin more than like 20 times due to my bitchay friend Tyrandae. Ya. -.-

My original guild, which I was in for 3 years I left because they were a bunch of manipulative turds that called me a whiny b***h and were more bent on loot than giving anyone a hand ever. I was tired of bending over backwards for people and then getting told I didn't deserve my officer position. Pretty much there are 7 people still in the guild I'll talk to. That's out of a 100 something members. Never done such a big purge of my friends list in my life. =(
Guild I'm in now I love. It's a lot of the people I raid with and it's like my old guild in the days when they weren't loot-centric turds.

I was in SnD for 10 months, and was gkicked. A bunch of officers packed their bags and headed over to Illidan. I was gkicked as a suspect in organizing the mass transfer even though I didn't apply to that guild. The two other girls in guild were booted for their cause of "Drama". Good times good times. I still have the QQ Thread from the Nath forums bookmarked. Now they struggle to down Felmyst... I'm having fun throwing corpses at KJ.

Mmmmmm...
When i first rolled a Priest on Aggramar EU, i got into a guild.
Joined the guild at level 10 and stayed untill 70.
We did Kara etc. but eventually i wanted to leave.
I was really close to the other officers (yes, i'd be promoted to officer for being friendly, helpful and generally a good vibe around the guild), and the guildleader, and when i left i basically caused the whole guild to shut down. sad
I felt really bad. I actually stopped playing WoW for a few months and have only just started playing again.
I rerolled on a different server, but still go on to talk to people now and then.

Another good guild just disbanded :/ silly drama... the gm quit and everyone else slowly left. Sad, because they were progressing nicely. Now I'm back at ZA because I couldn't resist tanking for my friend's guild. Nice people though, and much more mature than the last.
I always feel bad when I leave a guild, but it's always for a reason. Maturity, progression, too many jerks, blah blah blah. I log right after if I don't have an immediate invite because I get annoyed when people ask me why I'm leaving or even get mad at me for doing it... It gets to me when someone leaves and people start talking trash about them immediately; it's not a big deal, you know? Not like you can't talk to them if they aren't in your guild, if you wanted to that bad.

Yume wo mite Namida shite Kizutsuite mo . . .I left my very first guild when my first character was only around level 40. They had a huge free transfer off of my server and most of my guild jumped ship to reform themselves at the new server. I decided I wanted to stay behind because of the other friends I had made who weren't leaving the server. (I remember also that the new guild name they'd chosen on the other server was awful.  )
My second guild I was in until after the Burning Crusade, and it was an awesome atmosphere. We were trying to raid, however, and at one point merged with another guild to get in more numbers to make attempting 25-man things like Gruul's and Magtheridon more feasible. However, that also fell through due to poor leadership and I left on good terms with that guild to join the current raiding guild I'm in now.
And that's my guild history. razz
