Syrius Lionwing (Afiya, Guppi) / Gumi (Kunye)

She did not feel right. She did not feel right at all. As Kunye, Afiya, and Guppi traveled along, the young Cheetahress's condition only seemed to worsen. It wasn't as if she was sick, specifically. But her body felt weaker. And heavier. She seemed to be getting fat! The bigger she got, the more she worried. She really didn't eat that much...

The young, innocent cheetah truly had no idea what was wrong, and desperately she tried to hide it from her elder brother, and her new love. It wouldn't be good if all of them had to worry. Though, by this point, it was pretty obvious.

A frown crossed her as she moved a paw down her extended stomach, currently laying in the shade in the area they had chosen to take a break. She couldn't quite figure out... Despite the worry, she felt happy... Why?

Lifting his pale head Guppi looked at Kunye, she had been anxious of late, he could feel it, she seemed worried though he didn't know what about, something was different, something was changing and he didn't know what. Leaning across to the cheetahress he licked her cheek and nipped at her ear. "Are you feeling okay?" he whispers his pale lilac eyes smiling.

It was at this moment that Afiya came trotting up carrying a young gemsbok, it was plenty for the three of them. The older male chuckled as he watched the two love birds conoodling together. Licking his tan lips the large cheetah padded towards the two flickering his tail. he opened his mouth, looking at his little sister. The golden eyed male cleared his throat. "Not to be one to pry, but have you two been doing things while I've been out hunting?" he raised a curious brow, his gaze going from Guppi to the swollen abdomen of his sister. Their mother was going to kill him.

A soft smile graced her lips as she shifted to lean back into the warmth of her young lion. " I'll be fine.. Just a bit.. " She cut off when Afiya, spoke, lifting her head towards her brother's general location, before ducking it down quickly with a squeak of embarrassment. How had he been able to tell!?

" Y- yes.. " She murmured out truthfully, never wanting to lie to her family members. Kunye flushed red under her fur, shifting to bury her face into Guppi's side. " Is... Is that bad? " Came her muffled question to her brother.

It had never felt bad, but Afiya was much wiser than she, and could perhaps give her the answer to that, and what was wrong with her.

Guppi coughed, he was about to answer, perhaps untruthfully to the older cheetah, after all he was still rather weary of the big male, but Kunye spat it out for them and he lowered his head to groom at her pink cheeks, his own flushing, in an embarrassed manner. He wondered why Afiya would ask such a question.

Afiya burst out laughing and he shook his head, laying down before the youngsters "It's not a bad thing no, but it looks like you two have some new responsibilities." He took a deep breath, he was trying to be understanding, after all he had done the same thing when he was younger. He'd gotten a female int he family way. he had run, but this, this was love, this wasn't just friendship. "Kunye, unless I am greatly mistaken, and I doubt I am, you're pregnant, and our mother is going to kill me for letting you get that way." He chuckles brightly.

" I'm... " She froze after lifting her head, trying to process this information. She was.. pregnant? " I'm going to.. have babies..? Guppi's babies? " She asked, sightless eyes going wide. She hadn't even considered that a possibility for what was wrong with her, but finally, it all made sense.

" I'm going to be a mother... " She smile slowly, before it vanished to be replaced with a worried frown. Her eats lowered back as she looked to Guppi quickly. They hadn't been together long. They certainly never talked about family. Did he not want children? Would he leave? Once again worry overtook her as she listened carefully to the young lion.

Guppi opened his mouth to say something. No, that wouldn't happen would it? He blinked a few times disbelievingly, his pink tongue licking out over his pale lips. Finally finding his voice he smiled and whispered in to her ear "Don't look so bleak, you know I wouldn't leave you." He purrs looking down her slender form to that swelled stomach. He was going to be a father, he didn't even know how to be a father.

Afiya smiled watching the two for a moment. "You should eat something. Babies take all of your food from you so you need to keep your strength up if we're going to make it back to mothers den before those cubs come." He smiles lightly. "On second thoughts, maybe it would be a better idea to find some where to stay for a while, I'm not sure if you should be traveling in your condition."

She slowly smiled again as she relaxed into Guppi, nuzzling lovingly at his chin, and neck. Her ears perked back up as she listened to Afiya, nodding lightly. " Is there any way to tell how long it will be before their birth? " She asked, thinking over how long ago it was since they had done the thing that resulted in this.

She would love her mother at her side when the time came, but she didn't want to do anything to put her cubs in danger, and already it was hard enough to continue traveling. It would only become worse. " I think it really would be better to stay put a while.. "

Guppi raised a brow, he couldn't help but wonder that himself, would he be a father tomorrow or in a month? Or maybe a year? how long did it take for females to have babies? He couldn't help but chuckle at the thought that they were having cubs, they were both barely out of cub hood really.

Afiya shook his head "Mother would know, but me, I'm clueless about it." Taking a breath he looked away in to the distance. "Look alone I can be back to mothers den within a couple of days. I can ask her to come and see you. I'm sure she and Korou would enjoy a little trip." He shook his head a little, he was going to be an uncle it seemed. It felt odd, after abandoning his own child, to see two whom loved each other and wanted to stay together despite this. It made him feel guilty, but the past was int he past.

Her smile softened, and slowly she got up, moving carefully to her brother's side. " I would really appreciate that, Afiya.. "

Settling into his side like she used to do when she was only a cub, she nuzzled her face into his neck, speaking whispered words that were for his ears alone. " I can never thank you enough Afiya, for giving me a mate.. and a family. I love you, big brother. "

The large cheetah smiled and groomed his little sisters face. "Hey, you couldn't stay in one place forever, this is all your doing, I'm glad you're happy.." he whispers nudging her cheek. "Now, go get some food, I've had a bite already I'm going to head off for home." he looks to Guppi. "You'd better hunt around for some deeper cover, just in case." He shakes his head and stands stretching his long limbs he turned in the correct direction and sped off.

Guppi gave a quick nod and stood. he had to find a suitable place for Kunye to rest, sleep and if necessary give birth in. "There was a thick copse a little way back, do you think that will be suitable Kunye?" He questioned turning to his mate, his pregnant mate. They were having babies. Padding up to her he nuzzled at her belly gently, carefully. "We'd better eat our fill before we go. I'm not the best of hunters."

She nods in agreement, smiling as she felt the soft nuzzling against her belly. Carefully, she got back up off the ground, moving to the scent of the fresh meat. " That sounds perfect. We wont need much after this meal. Though, I'm confidant you will be able to catch anything we and our cubs need to eat. " She gave a soft smile back to her mate, before beginning to eat her fill so they could move back to the copse to rest. It wouldn't be long.. She could feel it. And she would be needing all the rest she could get.

Guppi followed Kunye, his mind was full of questions and worries, but they quickly faded away as he sat beside his beautiful mate to eat. This would be some adventure a task, if you will, but together they would be fine, he just knew it.
