I'm moving to a different city about 100 miles away so I'm getting a new job. I've done a lot of looking, applied to a few even. I've got a job interview in a coupla weeks so it's all getting somewhere hopefully. This will be my first proper job as currently I'm just a temp, so it's pretty exciting! I'm moving to be with my boyfriend, we've been together two years and he's just passed his first year at uni. I'm happy with all that, just the job thing kinda concerns me. So I guess I could use some tips as well, on how to excel at interviews.

Congrats on moving in with your boyfriend!! And good luck with your job hunting 3nodding I hope you get a decent job =) Unfortunately I can't give you any tips for the interview process. I just got my first job this summer... and I didn't even have to go in for an interview. My next door neighbor needed someone to work for her in the Floral department at Sobey's 2 times a week. So because she already knew me I just had to fill out the paper work, get a bank account and that was it.

One of the courses we had to take in high school was the CAPP (Career and Personal Planning) series, manatory through to Grade 12. And in grade 11 or grade 12, I remember we had to do a mock job interview.
From what I can remember:
- Make and keep eye contact as much as you can. - Don't look at your watch or fidget too much. This gives the impression you're bored or you have somewhere else to be. - Smile! - Do your best not to be nervous. If you're confident, it'll probably be noticed by your interviewer.
Congrats on your move and best of luck job hunting! 3nodding

Congrats!
I've done a few interviews myself so I'm pretty confident in them. The best thing to do is try to think of questions they'll ask and practice your answer so you'll know what to say. Also, doing a bit of research about the company doesn't hurt.
A few questions they seem to ask everywhere are: What can you bring to this job? (as in, positive attitude, good work ethic etc) Tell me about yourself. What are some of your weaknesses?
