It was one of those days in the Seconds world where you just didn't know what the weather was going to do. The sun was peeking through thick clouds, heavy with rain, and once Starr thought she had heard a bit of thunder in the distance. Storm hadn't heard a thing, though, so perhaps she had been imagining it. Still ... it could go either way, the sun or the storm taking over eventually.
The twins had finally decided to venture back to the Seconds world, keeping a wary eye out for the Second who had attacked them on their last visit oh so long ago. It was their home world - they should not be afraid to return. Especially since their mother had been asking them so many questions about their reasons for not wanting to. Neither one of them had wanted to tell about their encounter, so they had simply decided together that they would return together and overcome their fears.
Now they were walking along the beach. Starr was keeping her eye out for any possible approaching threats, while Storm was watching the sea, his milky eyes captivated by the crashing of the waves on the sand.

Aderyn laid peacefully in the bushes. It was such a boring day. Nothing to do, nothing to mend or to build. The little girl sighed loudly. "I wish something would happen." She streched and yawned. Thus making the bush rustle.

Storm was still staring out at the sea, so he didn't notice a thing - but Starr, with her eyes wide open and looking around anxiously, saw and heard some bushes rustle, and she froze in her tracks fearfully.
Storm felt his twin's sudden stiffness, and he turned to her anxiously. "Starr?" he said softly, squeezing her hand tightly. "Are you okay?"
Starr's eyes were wide and terrified. "I saw something," she whispered back to him, her eyes fixed on the bush. "Over there..."
Storm's eyes also grew wide, but he let go of Starr's hand and stepped forward bravely.
"Hey you!" he called out, sounding much braver than he felt. "In the bushes! Who are you? Come out so we can see you!"
His eyes were already seeking out the threads of magic that he could use if it was the one who had attacked them previously, but he was also watching to see who it would be, hoping that it would be someone friendly.

Aderyns eyes grew wide as she heard something from the shore side. She hadnt met anyone yet, so she was quite curious as to who they were. She stuck her head out of the bush carefully.
"Who are you?" she hollered back to the boy. "I wont come out if you are unfriendly!" she added just to be sure. She didnt want any trouble, but somehow she always was asking for it.

Starr relaxed immediately, but Storm, still remembering their previous encounter, wasn't to ready to be so trusting.
"I'll be nice if you are!" he called back to the girl, though it was quite obvious that she wasn't the same one they had encountered the first time. For one thing, she was a Surprise, not a teen - and she was fully clothed.
Starr gave her brother a reproachful glance, then tugged on his hand and spoke up for herself. "It's all right," she called out to the girl, "we're friendly."
She reached out and pushed Storm's hands down so that he wouldn't grab any of the magic accidentally.

Aderyn blinked a few times at the responce she had recieved. 'Weird bunch' she thought to herself. She then bravely stood up and walked out of the bushes fearlessly.
"erm.... good day?" she mumbled to the two very tall seconds.

Starr smiled with relief as she saw the girl climb out of the bushes. She was definitely not the one who had frightened them the last time - which made her happy.
"Sorry for our rudeness," she apologized, bowing at the waist, her long white hair falling in front of her shoulders. She straightened once more, brushing her hair back again and straightening her long blue kimono. "The last time we were here we had ... a bad experience ... so we're a bit wary about meeting new people now. It's nothing personal."
Storm licked his lips apprehensively and nodded his agreement. "Sorry," he echoed his twin, scratching the back of his head. "We just have to be careful who we meet now is all."
"We should introduce ourselves," Starr realized suddenly. "This is my twin brother, Storm."
Storm waved and smiled, then added, "And this is my twin sister, Starr."

Aderyn smiled slightly. They sure seemed polite after calming down. " Well I can assure you, there is no-one else around in these parts besides me right now. I havent met a soul so far." she said calmly to the two.
The then straightened up and tilted her head back as she got nearer to the two. "My name is Aderyn. Nice to meet you." she replied.

Starr smiled warmly and folded her hands in front of herself. "It's nice to meet you, too," she said softly, her white eyes shining brightly.
She sat in the sand so that she wouldn't be so much taller than Aderyn and crossed her legs comfortably. "Do you live here?" she asked curiously. While to most people, it would be obvious, since this was after all the Seconds world, she had to ask, since she and her brother were Seconds who lived in another world.
Storm looked around once before also sitting down, though he kept glancing about warily.

"Yes I think." Aderyn replied to Starr. "I havent been to the other parts of this world yet." she added certainly.
She sat down next to the nice girl and looked at Storm. "Is he always so nervous?" Aderyn then asked Starr silently.

Starr's expression turned to one of worry as she looked at her brother, Aderyn's words still ringing in her ear. Storm didn't seem to be paying much attention to either of them ...
She turned back to Aderyn and shook her head sadly. "No," she replied softly. "He used to be the careless one ... always looking for fun ... see what kind of trouble he could get into ... it's just ... the last time we were here, another Second attacked us, and I think she was trying to kill us or something ... so ... we're a lot more careful than we used to be ... especially him."
It saddened her that they had to be like this, but it also made her proud that her brother could be so serious. He had always been so reckless ...
Storm glanced over at the two girls then, his milky eyes blank of any emotion, then turned away and looked around again.

"You vere attacked?" Aderyn gasped as she had learned what had happened to the two. "That's really sad." she added and looked at Storm once again. It must have been horrible. When it had made a person change so much.
Aderyn then stuck her hand into the pocet of her pants and pulled out a paper and a pencil. She begun to contemplate and sketch.

Starr nodded sadly, but she didn't know what else to say.
On the other hand, it seemed as though Aderyn had her own way of progressing a conversation, even if it was a silent means.
"What are you drawing?" Starr asked curiously, moving a bit closer. She was always curious to know what people were drawing - her eldest sister was an artist, and she loved watching her.
Even Storm seemed to be somewhat distracted by the idea of a drawing, and he moved a bit closer, trying to watch without being too conspicuous.

Aderyn continued to draw enthusiasticly. "If.... I make a few of these..." she mumbeled. "Then you could breathe more freely." She commented as she held up the thing she had been drawing. It seemed to be blueprints of some machine.
"A motion detector!" she announced.
