-Pitter patter, pitter patter. Felicia's dual tails flicked outwards her strides slowing and shortening and she came to a halt, eyes gazing upwards through drippy strands of hair. The rain was going away now and with it, her game of trying to catch the large droplets on her back, but the clouds still remained, stealing away any chance she might have had for a rainbow.

The soquili was a mess, even after shaking loose much of the excess water, she looked drenched and drowned, her ivory paws and legs splattered in dark mud. But it was alright, she wasn't meet anyone and anything today right? So she seemed unconcerned as she began a mild search for a puddle big enough to gain a few long drinks from. The rain was helpful in revitalizing a soquili, but reguardless all that running and jumping and frolicing about had tuckered her out a bit and dried her tongue.-

Cloud snorted, ears pressed back in an expression of annoyance as he shook his great head. Soaked mane whipping against his neck before resuming its punky, upright stance. Even the downpour that had drenched the stallion had failed to tame the wild mane.

Sniffing he dropped his head, stretching out a foreleg to scratch his ear against the side of his knee. It wasn't that he hated the rain so much.. but he hadn't really been dry for the past few days and he was getting bored of the cold wetness trickling into his ears and tracking wet streaks over his coat.

Stretching out his neck he shook his entire body, all four legs splayed wide to prevent him loosing his footing. Strai9ghening, he flicked his short bedraggled tail. It would be time to move on again soon.. He had stopped in order to take shelter under the spreading branches of a pine, but it hadn't done much good. Instead of getting soaked all over, he had been bombarded with huge fat drops like tiny bombs. Pine trees were not made for sheltering under, he decided.

With a last, half-hearted shake, he stepped out from under the weeping boughs and set off along the soaked, muddy path. He hoped to find a river close by, or at least a stream. Though the area was littered with puddles, they were murky, not yet having had time to settle from the relentless rain.

Something moved off to one side, catching his attention. Stopping he lifted his head, ears pricking with interest as he gazed through the few sparse trees at what ever it was. It appeared to be a soquili... from what he could see.

"Hello..?" He called, curious enough to risk the stranger being of unwelcome temper. After three days of getting rained on, some company would be a welcome distraction from his sodden discomfort.

-Too small, too small, too mucky. She slowed at each rippling little 'lake', inspecting it for a moment before continuing on to the next. It wasn't that she was THAT picky, but she somehow doubted she'd be pleased later if she ended up with a belly ache from drinking down TOO much mud. And as she was in no real hurry or anything.... Felicia meandered along with fickleness.

Her ears perked softly at the sound of a voice, pivoting gently to try and catch the direction and source, and her eyes were quick to follow. Had it been a sunny day she might have missed his belt against the sky, but with the grey backdrop, the stallion appeared bright and clear on the horizon, and a soft and pleasant nicker proceeded her.

Though they were still far enough away to make it impossible to make out any distinguishing features, other then species and perhaps sex, the voice had sounded awfully friendly, and Felicia was quick putting an end to their distance.- "Good afternoon!" -She called out cheerfully as she trotted ever closer.- "Out enjoying the day?"

For his part Cloud padded damply out from under the trees, making his way carefully down the slight slope towards where the mare was. He reached the flatter area just as she drew close enough to call out. He smiled instantly at her friendly tone, pleased that she was amenable to his presence and not irritated as some had been.

"Greetings." He replied, voice easily carrying the now much shorter distance between them. Her question prompted an amused laugh, storm-grey eyes sparkling as he shook his head, ears flicking. "Mmm.. its looking a lot brighter now.." He replied in a cheeky tone. "And I am happy the rain is leaving.. I might actually dry out before nightfall." He smiled as she drew to a halt before him, his attention instantly caught by her.. rather unusual appearance.

Blinking he peered at her long white ears, following the flowing strands of her soaked mane to the unusual white swirly pattern on her coat, then dropping to the strangest pair of front legs he had ever seen. Catching himself he looked back up at her and smiled easily. "And you? You are soaked, you have been out in the storm?" He paused a moment then flashed her a bright smile. "I'm Cloud Runner, or Cloud for short."

He couldn't help but glance down again briefly. He was fasinated with her apperance. She was.. cute!

-Slowing to a halt her eyes washed over him pleasantly, in that subconcious little 'get to know you' glance that took in the features of the creature before her. He seemed a fine stallion, big and sturdy, with that spikey mane that was just as masculinlely wild as her curls were femininely so. And of course that cute little heart on the tip of his nose, that alone brought forth a small smile from the mare.

Lifting her eyes back up to his as he spoke, she offered a mildly sheepish laugh in return.- "You're quite correct. I was playing in the rain a bit. Not such a fan of the rain yourself, hmmm? Surprising with a name like yours. But then parents do never know what foals will grow up to be like."

-She could tell his eyes had wandered lower, and a moment of worry touched her brow. He was looking at her legs wasn't he? She searched for any sign of his muscles tensing, some hint that he might be hightailing it shortly, or even worse that he might rear up and try to push her back with those front hooves of his. However his body remained as relaxed as ever, and the nagging worry began to fade, reassured by the continuingly pleasant tone in his voice. Perhaps he was just looking at the mud after all. Maybe he thought she looked like a big ol' philly for making such a big mess of herself.

Trying to draw the attention upwards, as if to test her thoughts, she took a mild step backwards seperate kitty toes curling in to make them as unapparent as possible, standing tall and giving her mane a little toss.- "Nice to meet ya Cloud, I'm Felicia."

He chuckled softly, the sound low and deep, rumbling in his muscled chest with easy amusement. "It is not that I dislike the rain usually. It has just been, something of a wet few days for me. I came from the westerly direction and the clouds have been following me. With much success I have to admit. I’ve not been dry in days. But usually I am more like you.. you just caught me on a bad day." He flashed her a grin before shaking his head again, trying to rid himself of the cold damp trickles that threaded through his soaked coat.

He tilted his head slightly as she moved back, gaze on the mare's face curiously. Ears flicked before pricking forwards again as he smiled. "Felicia, a very pretty name for a very pretty filly. It is certainly a pleasure to meet you Felicia, I haven't seen anyone else around these parts, do you live here?" He paused a moment thoughtfully before dipping his head a little, gaze apologetic. "Forgive me if I seem rather forward...."

"Ahhhh, well too much of anything can become troublesome." -She nodded in understanding as she thought aloud, musing mildly.- "Sometimes in the summer when we've had weeks and weeks of sun, I'll wish that the rain would come. So I can see why you'd rather not continue to be soggy."

-She grinned mildly at his choice of words, deciding to herself that her thought from before about her muddiness was correct. Not that there was anything wrong with acting like a philly, life was to be enjoyed, and when one was alone so often, youthful behavior was often the best way of accomplishing that.-

"Ohhhh no no!" -She was quick comfort, confiding with a pleasant little laugh.- "I love to talk!"

"I'm not really from any once place. I wander around alot. Back and forth, here to there." -Partly to escape being run off, partly in search of excitement and friends, and even a little to escape the loneliness that settled in when one stayed in one place too long. Her dual tails were beginning to sway once more.- "I've been through here before though once or twice, but I didn't stay very long."
