Niki sat on the fire escape of the crumbling building. The sniper rifle sat beside her, propped against the railing. She had just got done practicing on a building a few blocks away. She never missed a shot. Niki sighed imperceptibly and leaned her back against the brick wall. She often wondered when the city council would finally doze down the Tombs, as if they could without an uproar.

The computers came to life, buzzing and lighting up. The name and location came into view and he was on it as usual.
Walking down the ally's of a crumbling city. A city far past the point needing to be demolished. But still, some do call it home, and for that reason, it is meant to be there. Sticking to the shadows, face hidden behind the dark hair. Rain began to down pour. The figure looked up into the sky, red eyes glowing lightly for a moment as a smile crept along it's face revealing a sharp fang on the right where the smile crept the longest. It lowered it's head and continued on it's way.

Niki stood up and stretched. She looked down a moment and grabbed her gun, spotting two red dots that were spaced perfectly for eyes. SHe squinted and peered down. "What in the Hell?" she asked aloud. Then Niki shrugged. You'd see all sorts of s**t in the Tombs, so she didn't let her mind settle on it. She clambered back through the window and put the rifle in the corner before settling down for the night. No point in staying up to watch people wander the Tombs, like they always do.

He figure moved close to a decrepit building, the rain coming down worse by far than the Tombs had probably seen in many decades. The figure's body disappeared, but shadow run up along the corner of the building till it reached the top. The figure stood there, coat acting like part of the shadow, flaring wildly at the ends in the wind. It searched out over the city for his target.

Niki listened to the rain. It hadn't come down this hard in forever, it seemed like. Lightning flashed brilliantly and everything lit up. Except for one shadow against te wall. It intrigued her, and yet concerned her at the same time. She was just out there, heard no one come out, and now someone was there. Feeling slightly foolish, but not vulnerable, she called out. "Go away. What ever you're selling, I'm not buying." This was her usual response to anyone, because everyone had something to sell: drugs, junk, ect.

Target acquired. Ran throguh it's mind as the shadow jumped through the air to the top of the building she was located on. Moving quickly down to get closer to her.

Niki went out to the fire escape. She had seen movement, but hadn't heard anyone out there. "Hello?" She looked around, up, then down. No one but herself. Shrugging, she went back in the tiny room and sat down, watching the window. She couldn't shake the feeling someone was out there.

The sound of bots echoed lightly as it walked down the old fire escape to get to her. No need for concealment and the such. It made it's way down slowly.

She smiled to herself lightly as she heard the person's boots. They're here, she sang in her own mind. "Hi there, cupcake," she called out to who ever was out there.

Standing at the edge of the fire escape looking in, red glowing eyes pierced the very soul of whoever was to look directly into them. Years of pain and suffering to be seen, many close deaths to it. The refection of a tooth in the dark gave away a hint of a smile.

Nicola blinked up at him. "How can I not help you?" she asked with a hint of attitude. The red eyes sent shivers up her spine. As long as she had lived in the Tombs, she hadn't seen anyone like this strange, strange man. But she wasn't about to lose her ground. Her hand shot into her pocket and pulled out a Zippo lighter. Nicola flicked it open and it dimly lit the man's face. "What do you want?" she said strongly. Her voice didn't waver, but he definitely creeped her out.

Darkness consumed the flame before she had a chance to see it's face. "Nicola Pink.." A mechanical voice asked from the darkness standing in front of her.

Nicola took a step back. No one ever called her Nicola, only Niki. And she didn't know this man, so how did he know her name? Her full name, too. "What do you want?" she demanded from him, putting the lighter back in her pocket. She strode easily to her weapon and aimed. She was not afraid to shoot this 'person' if he had any intentions, though she had never shot anyone before.
