Maybe it had been longer than a few weeks. Maybe his mother was right; the female that he had once loved before was no more. She was gone. Maybe he put too much into it, his feelings for her… and maybe they weren’t even real feelings of love. He was still a young male after all; maybe he needed to grow more before he tried to find love again. One thing was for sure, he knew that this time he couldn’t force it. It always felt like he was forcing Jura to love him. He needed someone who WOULD just love him now. His heart wouldn’t be able to handle another loss. With soft green eyes narrowing the creamy colored male trotted along, his eyes heavy with regret. He had no idea of where he was going or why, he just walked. Maybe fate wouldn’t deal him a bad hand this time. Maybe.
She stuck out like a sore thumb. Bright red pelt amidst the sunny african setting, who couldn't miss her. Black accents marked her pelt, bright blue orbs scanning the area. She left the pridelands, where her twin currently resided, about a week ago, and now where she was heading was a mystery to all but fate. She didn't head back to the Kusini lands, she wanted to meet new lions. Some that were not related to her, preferably.
The days seemed to get longer, the sun-hotter, as the red lioness walked the southlands. She looked ahead of her, noting a lion trotting in the distance. Perfect opportunity to meet another, she thought as she picked up her walk to a brisk lope.
Munich didn’t notice her at first, he was so lost within his own thoughts he almost looked over the bright red lioness that bounded after him. His green eyes narrowed as he stopped and gazed in her direction, his jaw gaping. Was it…? No. This female was a bright as the sun, and her eyes were nothing like he had ever seen. Stopping himself he spoke out to her as she drew near. “Hello?” He twisted his head some. He didn’t understand why she would want to talk to him. He was a nobody.
Her ears perked forward as he stopped is trot. Good, she could catch up to him easily now. Slowly her own pace to the two step beat, and eventually the walk, she spoke. "Hello." She said briskly. She blinked, tilting her head. Was he upset? The questioning greeting got her somewhat. "I'm Keaira." She introduced politely. "It's great seeing someone that isn't related to me!" She joked, her mind snorting as she knew it was a true fact.

He was so confused at first, her bright color, and her deep eyes. He was lost within her as well as her words and gaze. Munich felt so very out of place. His soft green eyes narrowed as he opened his maw slightly to speak, his tail curling around his side.
“Oh... oh, hello!”
He seemed rather embarrassed. He didn’t know what to say.
The blue eyed female tilted his head. His attitude seemed to change slightly. She frowned, hoping to hear a name, but it instantly shot into a smile. But she was right, most everywhere she turned, she met with another she was related too. They either had the same blue eyes, or a charcoal coffee pelt. This one, however, was more different.
”…Are you okay?” She grinned. “I hope my words didn’t confuse you…” She sighed, if they did, she needed to learn how to reword so it was more understanding.

“Oh, oh no, don’t worry. It isn’t you, I’m just…:”
He paused and sighed. “It’s been a long past few days for me, is all. I think I’m on edge.” His softer color pelt seemed too weak beside her bright color, but he was use to it. Munich felt like a nobody, anyway. If he didn’t stand out, well then, that was fine with him. “Your name is..?” If she had given it to him before then he did not recall it. He didn’t want to see rude by asking, but he had to be sure.
She listened carefully. He was just what? Another frown appeared on her maw, this time staying there. This other seemed so…upset. He was on the edge? A little bug in the back of her mind prodded at her, begging to ask what was the matter, but the polite side of her just told her to nod, and just comfort him someway. After all, it was not too weird to be comforted by a complete stranger.
She blinked when he asked her the name again. “It’s Keaira.” She said with a smile. What it meant, she had not a clue, maybe if she saw her mother that question would be dawned upon her. “Yours?” That way, they could get the formalities out of the way!

“I’m Munich.”
He spoke out slowly, his ears lifting some. He was going to try and relax. He had to; putting his troubles onto this lioness would have been so rude of him to do. He felt for her right away though, inside and out. She reminded him of her in a way, but… she seemed more… bright; both in color and in personality. This made him smile some.
“I am sorry, I think I’m lost. Where are we?”
’Munich’ she repeated in her mind, putting the name to the face. She was about to say nice to meet you, a common greeting most every lion had told after an introduction, but she didn’t. Instead, Munich had begun speaking again, asking the whereabouts of where they were.
”Umm…” She looked around. Kea knew to the north lies the Pridelands, and south would be her homeland in the Kusini. Here…well, “I think this place is called the Southlands…” her voice drifted. “I’m not really from around here, so I honestly can’t give you a direct answer.” Her smile faded to a frown, not liking the feeling of being useless.
”Are you going somewhere? Perhaps I can help you get there?”

He sighed deeply and gave her another smile. He felt better now, he could relax some. “No, no. I’m not going anyway... it’s more like; I’m trying to get away, get lost. So maybe its better if I don’t know where I’m going, you know?” He chuckled and sat himself down, his green eyes narrowed as he gazed at her again. She was very pretty and her colors were so bright and welcoming. She seemed so sweet… oh, swell. His heart was aching again. Why did he fall in love with anyone who gave him a bit of time? Why was it so easy for him to long? Gods, he felt so stupid. He forced himself to look away from her.
Keaira nodded, “I know all too well what you mean. I tried to get away from my old pridelands, in which you can’t meet another lion without it being related to yourself. And it seems to be a small world…I am trying to get away from my brother who I just found in the Pridelands.” She grimaced slightly. Azima, her brother, and her had never really gotten along as cubs. He always blamed her for things, especially since they were twins.
When Munich looked away, Kea’s bright eyes widened. Had she said something wrong? Her ears flattened against her skull as she looked away from him as well.
”Sorry, I shouldn’t have asked that…I should go…” She murmured her apology, rising to her feet.

“Please don’t.”
He spoke out, facing her again.
“Don’t go?”
He felt so helpless. He really had a problem. He was so use to being walked out on, being yelled at. Munich always felt like he was the reason people left, as if he were no good.
“I can understand what you are saying, somewhat- I have been moving around all of my life, looking for a place to call home. It’s not easy, finding your own place.”
Kea nodded an okay as she sat back down, gazing her blue eyes back at the lighter brown male.
The red adult nodded again.
”What lands did you come from?” She asked.
”I’ve only been looking for a place I could call my own for a little bit now. I could only say I left my homeland when I was just hitting adulthood, but I will take your word about it. I never planned for it to be an easy trek, especially with all the new prides rolling around; you never know which holds the friendly felines, and which ones can lead to death.”

“I come from the land of the mist.”
He spoke out slowly. His tone somewhat uncertain.
“I left when I was small with my family, but that is where I was born.”
He nodded to her slowly and sat down, his ears pinning backwards slowly. He was such a jerk, he hoped he could see he was just having a rough time.
“I’ve been moving around all of my life, really.”

Keaira hadn't heard of the land of mist, but surely with all the prides around, one obtained to the objective.
She nodded, however, ears listening intently on his speech.
"Do you like to travel?" She paused for an answer, a dawning thought rising to her mind.
"Perhaps we could travel together? To find a home? It's difficult going into a different land with no one you know...but hey, we know eachother right?" Well...they just met, but you would get the point Keaira was coming from.

“If you wanted to.”
He nodded and gulped hard. She was so pretty and nice… and she wanted to hang out with him more? He couldn’t see why. He was going to be a bad traveling partner, he could see it now. By the end of this trip she would grow to hate him, he just knew it.
He tucked his tail along his side and smiled wide.
“Yeah, let’s travel together. I can take you to my old home… and to see my mother, maybe to the sea.”
He had been around, he knew of some wonderful places to visit.

Kea smiled widely.
"The sea? I have never seen the sea!" It was true, the bright crimson lion had only seen the small water holes hidden sporadically around the land, as well as the two rivers that flowed so oppositely in the Kusini lands.
And to meet his mother...? Keaira always loved meeting new faces. It gave her a sense of something that belonged, like the missing pieces were starting to be put back together. Perhaps in time, her heart would once again be a whole without Azi around.
"I could take you to see my old lands if you'd like as well. Let's get to know each other that way?"
