Yeah, this is French. I'm currently practicing to go to the auditions later this week. I still can't believe I finally find something around here. They're going to present during the summer of 2009, and after maybe a tour around french areas of Canada, Europe and Africa, like that company does with most of their productions.
Singing, dancing and acting. First time I'm not too shy to go for singing auditions, I hope it will work razz

I've heard of the show, but don't really know anything about it. But, break a leg at your audition!

To make it quick, it's a historical event that happened in Caraquet, NB (Canada) around the end of the 19th century, not really sure about the dates.
At the time, the government placed a law stating no religious symbols could be present inside the schools. And since it was back when the priests and nuns were teaching the french people, they couldn't teach anymore. In Caraquet, they did some kind of riots about that decision, and they went at a house, where they've been caught by the militians, who started shooting on the roof. There has been one victim, Louis Mailloux, 19 years old. So yeah, be became a hero by beins at the wrong place at the wrong time. Still, it helped to make a difference in the gvoernment's decision, and priests ans nuns continued to teach french people of New-Brunswick.
The show sorta tells the story of Louis before the events. There s no real informations about the man itself, so around 90% of that show is not apart of the historical events of Caraquet, but the most important is still there.
