[[News of the Past todays flash back!! xDD]] 雅-miyavi- and Ozawa Maria an item?!! The news was from a gossip-mag called "FRIDAY", printed an article about Miyavi being seen with a woman. Also, the magazine reported that this woman is the popular Japanese AV-actress (porn actress) Maria Ozawa (who happens to go by the name 'Miyabi' sometimes) A bunch of angry Komiyavi-chans sent Ozawa Maria hurtful emails and messages." Miyavi's response to the public: First of all, I’m sorry for not saying anything yesterday. The truth is, the company told me to make “no comment”, and that’s what I said. Firstly, I became friends with her through an acquaintance. Nothing more. I was seeing her off. That’s it. Including Saito, there was Bob, Yorke, and other girls who came to that place. Don't speak s*** about her. That girl also has lots of fans and people who support her. As such, when such things are said, my image deteriorates. Such an image will lapse from here. I could care less if my friends are porn-stars or ex-convicts. Are those things what make a person respectable? That girl also polishes herself as a pro, and works hard. I sympathize with her and respect her pride in her work, and how it’s leading to her dreams. That doesn’t mean I am 100% satisfied with my own current sales tactics. Since there is a dream, there is an aspiration there, keep it up. However, since there is a dream, and there are desires there, I can keep on going. I have faith in my confidence of my own current evolution. Also, even I can have lady friends! Don’t f*** with me, lol! Thanks for all that you’ve said, that is, you can fall in love whether you are a musician or whatever else. I don’t exist to be called an idol, or a musician or guitarist, I’m simply happy as an artist. Lately, as a person in this position, there have been some strangeness, and misconceptions around here, and I’m terribly sorry about any emotional turmoil I’ve caused you. I’m sorry. Finally, thank you for all of the mail! Well, alas there were mixed messages, but I somehow got support. Ah, what a wonderful world, lol. Next year, my birthday will be a fanclub event. Well, I’m off to the studio. And, after I make some hot music to make you wet, I’m going to take a shower, so just you wait.learn a little more about Ozawa Maria and the scandal that started the rumors xDD at arrow http://japanese-sexy-idols.blogspot.com/2007/11/maria-ozawa-profile.html [[well said Miyavi ^^ heart IT'S YOUR LIFE DO WHAT YOU WANT!! scream geez~ stare some ppl just go to far miyavi is a person too not a possession]]

Choi Jin-shil found dead, indicators point to suicide
The beautiful and talented Choi Jin-shil (age 40, most recently of The Last Scandal of My Life) has been found dead in her home in Seoul. According to police, her body was discovered at 6:15 am on October 2 and the reasons for her passing are under investigation.
Police said, “We received a report that Ms. Choi had committed suicide and arrived to confirm her death.” Another officer: “This morning, we received a report from her family that she had hanged herself in the shower stall.”
Choi had recently gone through some rough times supporting her friend Jung Sun-hee, widow of deceased Ahn Jae-hwan, and had battled rumors making the recent rounds that said she supposedly had lent him money, which she roundly denied. But what a shock — following a messy divorce with baseball player Jo Sung-min, her two small children, ages 5 and 7, were under her sole care.
[[Rest in peace Choi Jin-shil we will always love you]]

More on Choi Jin-shil’s Death
This is all very sad, particularly because Choi Jin-shil seems to have been very depressed, but not to the extent that anybody around her could have foreseen such dire actions.
The police have ruled Choi’s death a suicide — while there has been no explicit suicide note found, her last words to friends seem to have hinted at her intention (although this is all seen in hindsight, of course). The medical examiner determined no external wounds, no sign of murder or foul play. A memo was found, which didn’t contain any concrete details indicating suicide, but showed that she was greatly affected by Ahn Jae-hwan’s death and the subsequent turmoil.
She was said to have expressed prior to her death: “I’m saddened at the people of this world. I don’t understand why they’d torment someone with accusations of moneylending or whatnot.”
Friends and former co-stars are in shock; her co-star from the 1992 drama Jealousy, Choi Su-jong, “conveys his utmost condolences and grief.” Seeing some hateful replies online that were posted in response to the news of her death, he deplored, “How can anyone act like this?”
Apparently the day before her death, Choi had spoken to her Last Scandal co-star Jung Jun-ho over the phone and told him, “What’s wrong with this world?” When it was falsely circulated that she’d lent Ahn Jae-hwan money (she’s a good friend of his widow), leading to his suicide, some people even called her a ruthless loan shark and implied she had a role in his murder. (The murder rumors are spurious and unfounded.)
When asked on the 2nd if those words indicated that she’d decided to end her life, Jung was unable to speak for a long moment. He then said, “With our upcoming drama [Last Scandal season 2], I had been talking with Jin-shil regularly on the phone. ‘Jun-ho, how can the world accuse me of being a loan shark? This isn’t happening, is it?’ she kept asking.”
Jung had told her, “It must be upsetting, but it’s a stress that famous people have to put up with, isn’t it? Time will take care of things. You told the police the whole truth in the investigation, didn’t you?” However, he added, “I never could have even dreamed that she would do something so extreme.”
Choi Jin-shil’s manager was completely shocked at the news: “I didn’t get that feeling from her at all.”
Choi had made her last phone call at about 4 am on the morning she was discovered, to a friend who says, “I think she had been drinking. She lamented over her burdens for a long while.” As her mother found her body a mere two hours later (at approximately 6:15 am), this friend was likely the last person who spoke to Choi.
The friend continued, “Because it was such a late hour, after listening to her grievances for a long time, I told her, ‘Even if only for the sake of your children, be strong. Let’s talk again on a brighter day’ and hung up the phone. I couldn’t even imagine this would happen.”
Actress Kim Hee-sun posted a message on her personal homepage reading: “Beloved unni, please don’t be troubled by people up in heaven and be happy…be well!! I love you…”
The drama that was to be Choi’s next project, Last Scandal Season 2, is now up in the air despite being fairly far along in the planning process. The first season ended in April to much popularity and spawned the word “jumderella” to refer to Choi Jin-shil’s ajumma Cinderella character. The sequel was to reprise Choi and Jung Jun-ho as the two leads; screenplays were in the process of being written and filming to begin in December, to air early next year. At the moment, a production rep said the project will probably be discontinued, although no official decisions have been made.
Paying their respects —

She cried out, “I’ll die with you” and made odd neck-grasping gestures while others stopped her. Rose-colored Life co-star Sohn Hyun-joo Jo Yeon-woo and Lee Deok-hwa Actress Lee Seung-yeon . . .

Kwon Sang-woo drops film, pisses off production Newly wedded Kwon Sang-woo (Fate, Bad Love) has dropped out at the last minute of what would have been his next film project, My Love By My Side, and criticism is building. Apparently Kwon had made every commitment to appear in the project save for putting his seal on the contract (which often doesn’t happen until the last minute). The film, which was set to begin filming next month, now struggles in the wake of this unforeseen hurdle. The production company said that they received word suddenly over the weekend, after the terms of the contract, fees, and other details had been worked out: “He didn’t even explain his reasons for quitting. We’re all bewildered.” Kwon Sang-woo was to have played a sufferer of Lou Gehrig’s disease, also known as ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a degenerative illness), and had been cast opposite Ha Ji-won, who is still cast in the film. He held a fanmeeting in Japan just yesterday, on the 25th, where he announced, “Contrary to reports, my next project will be a drama series.” The production is currently looking for a new lead actor. Hm, what happened, Kwon? Did marriage make you suddenly forget your manners? Via Herald Biz

Ohn Joo-wan volunteers for early service And the guys keep dropping off to enlist. This time the enlistee is going off a little earlier than most entertainers (while normal civilians tend to get it over with in their early twenties, a lot of celebrities, loath to interrupt career momentum, push it off as long as possible and we tend to see them go off when they’re 28 or 29). Actor Ohn Joo-wan (My Mighty Princess, Chosun Police, City of Violence) is only 25 years old, but already he is volunteering for military enlistment in the air force. His management said, “Ohn Joo-hwan has always talked about wanting to serve in the military, and after deliberating, he decided to do his active duty this year… Joining the air force has always been his dream, so he’s received his physical exam and been deemed fit to serve.” Ohn had suffered a few on-the-job injuries, including a burst eardrum while filming the swimming-related The Peter Pan Formula and a fall from a horse while shooting Chosun Police. He reportedly worked extra hard to get back into top shape in order to enlist as first-class status. He also spent a lot of time listening to the advice of older entertainers who’d already returned from active duty, such as Yoon Kye-sang. He said, “I won’t be able to see you for the next two years, but please don’t forget me, and I will return in more projects as a better person, a better man, and a better actor.” Ohn Joo-hwan will enlist today!, on October 27. His most recent film, My Mighty Princess, co-starred Shin Mina and Yoo Gun and opened in June. Via OSEN [[we wish you luck ^^ fighting!!]]

Actors Take Pay Cut in Economic Downturn By Han Sang-hee Staff Reporter The global economic crisis and corresponding local business sentiments are spreading over to the entertainment sector. Planned dramas are being dropped from production while top celebrities are willingly reducing their paychecks. Main broadcasters MBC, KBS and SBS have each cut one drama from their programming budgets this fall, as production costs, along with actors' paychecks, are still soaring higher than ever. At a seminar dubbed "The Crisis of TV dramas and Normalization of Performance Fees,'' drama directors from television networks, producers from outsource production companies, actors, scholars and civil group members got together to further discuss the reality and come up with constructive solutions. "Production costs have jumped 25 percent to even 120 percent since 2004. The surprising part of the jump is that almost 60 percent of it is due to the paychecks (of the actors)," said Ha Yun-geum from the Korean Broadcasting Institute. The paychecks given to top actors ranged from one million won to nine million won in 2002, but the number has jumped to 10 million and higher. Now it takes about 25 million won per episode to bring a top celebrity to star in a miniseries. According to Ha, the reason lies in that more dramas are outsourced to production companies and because the paycheck system for actors has changed. These outsourcing productions rely greatly on company sponsorship, unlike major networks, which have limits on receiving extra financial support. It has thus come to be believed that the higher the budget, the better the drama will be. Actors starring in the dramas produced by outsourcing companies tend to get more than those made by the major networks. The paycheck system also changed from the previous grading system to "free-contract deals," allowing top stars to receive more than the general public could imagine. When the actors were ranked into 18 grades depending on various factors such as work experience and years of experience in the business, the actor positioned in the highest grade could receive no more than three million won. But now, as outsourcing firms need the stars to guarantee the popularity of their dramas, the sky's the limit for the actors' paychecks. Ha mentioned that they needed a sturdy and relevant system in managing the money paid to actors, as well as sponsorships offered by businesses to drama production companies. Kim Sung-han, chairman of the Korean Television Actors Association, on the other hand, argues that there are only a number of actors who receive such high paychecks and that they needed a more stable and comprehensive way to solve lingering problems. "Actors don't have many guarantees for their future. It wasn't like they were given the money just sporadically. The word 'normalization' does not make any sense," he said. Others also pointed out that it was not fair to ask only actors to downsize their budgets without further investigating the true reality of drama productions. Amid the worries in current drama productions and the incredible paychecks some local actors receive, some top stars have decided to give in and lower their "star" status and refuse any extravagant checks. Kwon Sang-woo was the first to announce that he was reducing his paycheck from what he used to get, which was approximately 50 million won, to 15 million won per episode. The newlywed also added that he would donate 10 percent of the money to a celebrity donation organization. "It's evident that many of my fellow actors and other production crewmembers are having a hard time working on dramas. I simply want to be a small help to them," he was quoted by his agency as saying. Fellow actor Song Seung-heon also followed suit and decided to pull down his payroll to 50 percent for the drama "East of Eden." It was known that the actor was given 70 million won per episode, which would have been more than three billion won when the 50-episode drama ended. His agency announced last Wednesday that the actor would receive the remaining 50 percent from copyright deals from overseas earnings if the drama crosses the break-even point. "I wanted to share the difficulties of the people I work with. If the drama becomes popular, then I think it's natural for all of us to share in the success," Song was quoted as saying by his agency, Mnet Media. Actors So Ji-sub and Choi Ji-woo also announced that they will look into the paycheck cut in order to facilitate a healthier and convenient drama production atmosphere. News About Rain!! -Rain’s little sister is getting married! It’ll happen sometime next year and Rain is feeling both brotherly and fatherly: “You know how they say fathers feel odd when their daughters get married? That’s how I feel, because she’ll become part of someone else’s family.” [Asia Economy] -Oh, and now that Rain has announced he once dated a “top model,” fans are clamoring to know who she is. He’s not telling, but he did promise to have a son eventually and raise a “second Rain.” Um, I don’t remember asking for that, Rain. [Hankook Ilbo] -Also, rumors of Rain’s death have been greatly exaggerated, and he is not happy. He says that he heard reports that he’d committed suicide when he was in China, and they were “hard to bear.” His first clue? When he started receiving a flood of concerned phone calls asking if he was okay. His reaction after reading reports was to think, “I’m really going to live a long time” to prove them wrong. Or, you know, he could just show up somewhere. [Mk.co.kr] [[oh man that i dint know xDD]]
