"..Supposed to be some other little kids just like you," Japi finished her sentence as they walked through the door of the theater. Erik, by nature had an affinity for this sort of place, so she wanted to give him the chance to enjoy it. Lifting up the sleeve of her kimono she revealed little Erik, hiding behind it.

His mother's kimono worked like the curtain to a production, revealing to Erik the wonders of the theater. He hadn't properly explored it the first time he was there, being distracted by Japi and the other little boy. This time he intended to get away from his mother's eye and sneak through every nook and cranny of the building.

Since meeting Doggy Beast, as Tinkerbelle had not gotten to calling the young...thing her favorite place to go was back to the theature. This time she extracted her promise to go a few days before so Peter had ristrained himself the night before, leading him to being completely sober and in no way hung over. Not that he was over joyed at going but at least it wouldn't physically hurt this time.

He held his daughter's hand, though she lead him more than he lead her. Tinkerbelle was looking all over the place, wanting to see if Doggy Beast was around. Peter let out a loud yawn, he was woken up far to early. He paused though when he noticed a woman in a kimiono near the entrance. Then he noticed the kid. A small smile curled his lips as he suddenly caught up with Tinkerbelle.

This trip could have benfits after all. Tinkerbelle would distract the boy and he'd be able to possibly bring some tail home. He was going with a lot less since the fairy arrived.

"Well, hello." he greeted in his 'sexy' voice, a handsome grin streaching across his cheeks.

Tinkerbelle frowned the moment Peter started to flirt, taking an instant dislike to the woman who could be his next conquest. She didn't like Peter's women. Peter's friends were okay, but not the women. She pouted before she noticed the boy. She was still pouting but now she was looking at him. He wasn't fuzzy like Doggy beast but he had a mask.

That was sorta cool.

Japi was glad to see a new face. She smiled brightly at the greeting. "Hello," she replied in her usual sing-song tone. She smiled especially brightly at the little fairy child. It was apparent that this was one of the other children, or at least she figured she was.

For Erik, the moment was perfect. The opening of the curtains had been followed by the revelation of the heroine of the play. His entire demeanor changed, as though he were an actor in the play. Erik bowed to the little girl and extended his hand, palm up. "And what's your name, fair lady."

Peter smiled warmly at the woman. Oh a mother type, he could see her bright smile of motherly joy when she spotted his kid. He could use that to his advantage. So long as Tink didn't ruin it. She had this annoying honesty streak, especially when he was trying to pick chicks.

"I'm Peter." he said warmly, leaning in a bit, the modern flirting.

Tinkerbelle on the other hand stared at the offered hand. She tilted her head to the side but then smiled as she put her hand into it after a moment, she figured it out.

"I'm Tinkerbelle. Who are you? I like your mask." she added.

Japi, oblivious to the methods of flirting, was glad to see such a nice man had adopted one of the little stage children. "Nice to meet you, Peter. My name's Japi." She tried a moment to think of which custom to use in greeting. Was it a kiss on the cheek, or a bow, or a handshake? She couldn't remember, so she just waved a little, pulling her right hand out of her sleeve, her gold wedding ring conveniently revealing itself.

Erik kissed Tinkerbelle's wrist ceremoniously and introduced himself as he stood. "My name is Erik," he forced himself not to adjust the mask this time, but found himself more nervous because of it. "Thank you." He fidgeted, trying to think of something further to end the awkward feeling. "Would you like to go exploring?" he suggested.

That was a disapointment on Peter's behaf. He glanced at her face to see if she was an affair type but she looked to...bubbly. He thought he had a single mother, those were good for now and then, so long as they only wanted an affair. He was no one's father...well except Tinkerbelle aparently.

"Sure! I love exploring!" Tinkerbelle said happily. She liked the wrist kissing thing. It made her feel pretty and special. She think she could like this Erik. He wasn't fuzzy but he kissed her hand, that was cool.

"Just don't get lost." Peter told her, sounding a bit annoyed already. "You don't want to make me go looking after you, got it?"

"Yeah, yeah." Tinkerbelle didn't even look to Peter. Her wings buzzed, sending her into the air and forward as she tugged on Erik's arm to hurry him up. "Come on! Let's explore."

Tinkerbelle's flight surprised Erik a little. He had seen the wings, but never realized they were actually functional. He nodded wordlessly and looked to his mother to make sure she realized he was going, but not really to get permission and headed off with the fairy girl.

Japi did see the two kids head off, but didn't have a problem with it. She had a knack for hide-and-seek anyways. Lithanus always told her it was because she had a childlike mind. She didn't really know if that was a compliment or insult, but she didn't really care.

Peter's demeanor had changed a little, and Japi wasn't sure what to think. But she put it out of her mind and tried to find a topic for discussion. The only obvious thing was the theater itself. "So," she started, pointing around at the theater. "How was the performance?"

Tinkerbelle kept low to the ground since she was still holding onto Erik's hand but she liked flying, she liked the way her wings sounded when they buzzed and how she could hover right off the ground. Her fairy dust spread a bit but she angled herself so it didn't go straight into Erik's face.

"So what's behind your mask?" she asked cheerfully, smiling brightly at him. She was a curious child that also believed in being blunt and honest to get what you want. She wanted to know why he wore the mask. "Why do you wear it?"

Peter watched them run off too a bit worried. he wasn't good at finding things he lost, which is why he didn't get too attached to anything as a rule. Tinkerbelle was...well a bit different. He was distracted by Japi's question and blinked once to show he was confused.

"What?" he asked utterly confused.

Erik didn't like the question. He stopped and turned to her, a frown curling on his lips. "You can't ever look," he said. "You have to promise." He squeezed her hand a little, just to let her know he meant it.

And mean it he did. Erik brooded a moment, trying to focus his mind on the present and keep his memory off the recent past. His new older sister, Addy had accidentally knocked his mask off earlier that morning and had seen a short glimpse of the face he hid with the mask. It was only a second before he grabbed the mask again and pressed it firmly back into place.

He never told his mother, and with the threats he made, Addy wouldn't either.

Japi on the other hand, was in a much better mood than Erik. She nudged Peter with her elbow. "When you got Tinkerbell," she qualified the question, but then stopped. "You did, I mean, that's why you're here at this theater, right?" She suddenly wondered if she'd said too much. Was the special power of this theater supposed to be a secret?

Tinkerbelle blinked when they suddenly stoped. She frowned when he squeezed her hand tightly, making it pinch. She didn't like being hurt. To prove it she fluttered her wings directly into his face, making the dust blow on him, covering him in pink sparkles.

"Fiiiine! Don't squeeze my hand." she lectured, putting her nose into the air. She didn't handle getting bullied, not really. She liked passionate men but not when it was against her. All he had to do was ask, she wasn't mean, she wouldn't take it, not if it was important to him.

"Ohhh, that. Okay I guess. I perfer movies honestly. Seemed kind of weird but you know, whatever." Peter shrugged, not mentioning that when he was caught up in the moment he clapped to save her life.

And then Tinkerbelle was in his life.

Erik let go of her hand quickly. He felt a little bad. What if Tinkerbell was like his mother? But he couldn't bet on that. So he turned away. "It's my face, okay," he said shortly. Telling her was his way of apologizing for squeezing too hard. He hadn't really meant to, he was just caught up in his memory, and maybe a little scared.

"Let's keep going," he said, not turning around yet, but not moving forward either.

Japi sighed. Noah had been right. The movies were taking over. "I've always preferred live entertainment," she said grinning. It was the same thing she said last time she was here. "It's more personal."

Tinkerbelle, sadly, wasn't one to let things go. When he said just his face that got her more curious. Unaware just how many toes she was stepping on she landed and looked around him, trying to see the mask again.

"Why do you need the mask?" she asked, still confused. "Is something wrong with your face?"

Peter glanced at the pretty lady and shrugged a bit helplessly. He wasn't good with women he wasn't trying to seduce. It made him a little awkward. What do you say to a woman you're not trying to sleep with?

"Yeah, but movies are easier. Going to the theater is such a hastle. Tinkerbelle likes it though, and those...uh dances. You know...ballet. Should probably put her in some classes." That get her out of his hair for a few hours.

Erik tried not to look at her as she came into his field of vision, but failed. His eyes met hers and he found it difficult to lie. He turned his head to the side and shut his eyes, as though it would be easier that way. It wasn't. "It's not normal," he said weakly. He didn't want to say it, so that was the best he could do. He kept his eyes shut, hoping that the tear forming would go away before he opened them again.

Erik tried to be tough, but he was still just a kid, and he hated that sometimes. He swore to himself to improve his skills. He wouldn't let himself do this much longer.

"Oh that would be wonderful!" Japi exclaimed, clasping her hands together. "Maybe I should get Erik into a theater class. Maybe some voice lessons. He really has an amazing voice." Japi was really just a mother bragging about her child at this point.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 05, 2008 10:37 pm

Tinkerbelle had good eyes though and a very big heart. She landed on the ground, her hand reaching out slowly until it softly pressed agianst Erik's cheek. Her thumb gently whiped away the tears. She gave a soft smile but waited until he looked at her before she said what she wanted to say next.

"I like not normal." she said softly. "My wings aren't normal. And my best friend, Beast, he's covered in fur! Like a doggy." she mentioned. "and your mask is very nice." she added before leaning in to kiss his cheek, to soothe him. "Don't worry about normal, just worry about you and those you love."

Peter blinked a little at Japi's...cheerfullness. He never met a girl quite like her, all bouncy and perky, unless it was in high school and a cheerleader. It was a shame about the ring, he liked perky sometimes. "I guess Tinkerbelle would like that, a theater class. I think she just likes attention."

Erik just looked at Tinkerbell for a moment. She wasn't his mother. She had no reason to be that nice to him. But she'd never really seen his face. His mind spun around for a moment and stopped on one final thought. As long as she never saw his face, they could still be friends. And he did want to be friends with the little fairy girl.

He forced a weak smile and nodded adjusting his mask again. "Thanks." He really wasn't sure what to say. "Do you still wanna play?" he asked.

"All children need attention," Japi said, with the sudden air of a woman who really knew what she was talking about. It was a real change from the way she was acting a moment ago. "It's just difficult to figure out what the right amount of attention to give them. Too much can be bad, but too little is even worse, I think."
