Is it just me or is her outfit in the movie awsome? Sorry if this shouldn't be posted here, I'm new and it's my first topic. But anyways yea, I wanted ot make it but I can't find a photo. Does anyone have any?
So yea, things to discuss
things you hate or love about the movie.
illistrations in the books, aren't they kinda weird?

In case you haven't noticed, a lot of the book illustrations are wrong. Here I will list the ones I know.
In TEE, Violet is in her regular clothes instead of pinstripes.
In 9-10, Violet should still be in her hospital gown.
In TGG, the taxi is purple.

Jehosaphat In case you haven't noticed, a lot of the book illustrations are wrong. Here I will list the ones I know. In TEE, Violet is in her regular clothes instead of pinstripes. In 9-10, Violet should still be in her hospital gown. In TGG, the taxi is purple. Wow. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. Like in the end of HH, I wondered why she was in the trunk of the car with her clothes on.

I belive they tried to make it look Old Style European Gothic? It's in no way really realted to the gothic stereotype we in modern age reffer to.

Yuppers ^^ They had a book on the movie that described how they made the costumes and stuff.

It was just really cool and interesting, and I liked Violet's and Sunny's costumes a lot! It really reflected the spirit of the books. The movie should have won the Oscar for best costume design.

Violet's dress in the movie is very cool, and I think that it is better than the dress she wears in the books. but of course, that is just my opinion 3nodding

Yeah, I noticed that in The Bad Beginning, the eye on his ankle was actually an eye, not a V.F.D. symbol.
Which brings me to the question, what was with all the eye things in Olaf's tower? What did he have all those paintings of eyes and stuff for?
And yeah, I liked Violet's costume in the movie a lot. I don't know if they ever actually describe Violet's dress in the books (they might have early on), but even if the movie did get the dress wrong, the dress itself is still very nice. Very interesting.
I also liked Aunt Josephine's dress. But then, I thought Streep as Josephines was hilarious. "Realtors? *gasp*"
