Chimalpopoca lay in a tree not too far from a crystal stream that broke the tropical forest in two. He licked at the Aztec mystic marks on his hind leg in an attempt to clean them and make his ebony fur shine like silk. Growling, his licks became hard and coarse. The dirt would not come off! His growls were cut short as the snapping of a twig echoed in the otherwise quiet wood.

Ears flicking back and forth, he peered down to see a green and black female stalking in the shadows. He cocked his head to the side as he silently watched the female.

"This could prove to be interesting," he muttered to himself in his dark velvet voice before dropping out of his tree and almost on top of the female.
