Name : Nicolette Alice
Gender : Female
Age : 15
Year : Fifth
House : Slytherin
Ethnicity : French/English, mainly.
Hair/Eye Color : Nicolette's hair is a golden yellow, bleached brightly in streaks from her being out in the sun so much. It falls to just above her shoulders, and she usually has it cut in a layered look. Her eyes are a steel blue-gray.
Pet : Female White and Black Kitten, Belle, with yellow-green eyes. Belle is a very territorial animal, and she can't stand other female cats around her. She's fixed, so Nicolette doesn't worry about her getting knocked up when she gets older, either. Belle doesn't trust other people, and seems to sense her master's moods. If Nicolette doesn't like someone, Belle can sense it, perhaps by a scent Nikki gives off or perhaps because she tenses a certain way. In any case, Belle rarely takes a liking to someone that Nikki herself hasn't. She doesn't let anybody except Nicolette and a few rare others touch her at all without hissing and scratching. She won't even let the twins come within a few feet of her without hissing and puffing up.
Home Life : Home - The Greene-Alice family lives in a large, three story home, not counting basement and attic. The house was inherited by Nicolette's mother, along with a large inheritance of gold, silver, and bronze. Nicolette's room is the basement, which she's redecorated and settled into. Her parent's have the master bedroom on the second floor, and the rest of the family is spread around the house. There's a pool outside, and their property is fenced in an charmed so that muggles can't see over the fence. As such, the children are able to fly on their brooms so long as they stay under 25 feet. There's a nice bit of land behind the house where Nicolette, Matthew, and their mother have been growing a garden, including several fruit trees. They also keep several pets outside, including Belle's parents and siblings, now fixed, and the twin's dog.
Father - Thomas Alice-Green. Aged 44. Auror of almost 25 years. Thomas is a firm believer in tough-love. He's not a touchy huggy sort of person, and he's the main disciplinary force in the house hold. He doesn't tolerate disrespect, sloth, or disobedience. He refuses to get a house elf because he believes that everyone should be able to pull their own weight around the house. He expects the best of his children, and refuses anything less than an E in all major subjects. He considers classes like muggle studies, astronomy, and divination useless, and has allowed none of his children to take them under threat of not having their hogsmeade permission slip signed. Thomas also went to Hogwarts. He was in Slytherin.
Mother - Merry Alice-Green. Aged 42. Home maker and muggle fiction writer. Merry is a soft, compliant woman. She likes her position as stay at home mother, and she doesn't believe in feminist nonsense. She writes for a muggle publishing company on her free time. She was gifted in transfiguration as a student, and is now a registered animagus. She turns into a crow. She went to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. It was Merry's idea to give the boys their father's name and the girl's their mother's.
Brothers (3)
Thomas Jr. Greene - Aged 20, the oldest of all of Nicolette's siblings. Works at Gringotts as a curse breaker. Thomas Jr. is very different from his father. He's a very kind person so long as he's not working, but he can't stand interruptions when he is. He's serious so long as he has something to do, and he won't stop to take breaks until the job is done. He travels a lot for work, and often sends home packages to the family with gifts. He's got a serious girlfriend who works with him, but there's been no talk of marriage or children yet. Thomas went to Hogwarts. He was in Ravenclaw.
Matthew Greene - Aged 12. A second year in Hogwarts, Ravenclaw. Matthew is a quiet spoke child who dislikes conflict. He's a sweet person, but he's awkward. He doesn't get along well with others, because of his withdrawn personality. He's more likely to be muggle literature than he is to be watching a Quidditch game or playing exploding snap. He exceptionally hates sour foods.
Jordan Green - Aged 6. Half of a set of twins. Jordan is much like his brother, Matthew. He's quiet, for his age, but unlike Matthew, Jordan dislikes books. He wants to be a famous Quidditch star when he grows up, and already likes to fly around on his toy broom. He likes to fancy that he'd play seeker, but it seems unlikely. He's large for his age, in both height and weight. He's got his heart set on getting into Ravenclaw or Slytherin.
Sister
Liliana Alice - Aged 6. Half of a set of twins. Liliana is a bossy child who likes to take control. She takes pleasure in bossing Jordan around, and following the older kids when they're home. She's already decided that she wants to be in Gryffindor, because, in her words, "It's not a sissy house like the rest!" She goes out of her way to prove she can do anything that the boys can do! She dislikes Nicolette because Nikki refuses to have anything to do with the twins until they're old enough to know when to shut up.
Diving deeper : Nicolette is the female mix between her little brother, Matthew, and her big brother, Thomas Jr. She loves to read, but not things that are useless. She doesn't learn for learnings sake, she learns so that she doesn't have to worry about being surprised later. She loves taking a book outside by the lake and studying there, where it's cool and bright and comfortable. She's not a sissy sort of girl, who freaks out at bugs. She likes the outdoors, and swimming is one of her favorite activities.
She loves basking in the sunlight. Her skin is usually a nice tan color from her just sitting outside, and her hair brightens every summer from it too. She hates cold weather with a passion, but she loves the rain. She likes the feel of a rain storm after a long, hot day.
Nicolette, Nikki by her family and friends, is a bit quiet. She doesn't raise her voice or yell, because she thinks that it's a rude and childish thing to do. She has a very slow temper, and, when it doesn't come to school or her beliefs, she's actually pretty mellow and calm. She usually has a really good lock on her emotions, and the worst thing she thinks that can ever happen is to cry or break down in public. She's a very proud person, but she knows when it's best to swallow her pride, grit her teeth, and do what's needed. She was put into Slytherin because her main trait is ambition. She will generally find a way to twist most situations to her advantage, and she's an accomplished liar.
Nikki refuses to allow herself to get bad grades. She'll push herself as hard as she can to get the best grade that she can, and sometimes she'll get pissed off at even her best, because it's not good enough. She's goal-oriented, and right now she's just working on getting the best transcript she can get, so that she'll be able to get a good job when she gets older. She wants to be an auror, like her father, but not just any auror. She wants to be the head of the auror office. Her final goal is actually Minister of Magic, but she's working on one step at a time. She's thinking about getting her transfiguration or potions mastery as an extra star on her resume.
Nicolette's best subject is potions, and that's not because it's notorious for being a Slytherin's class. She enjoys the class as a whole, because it just comes simple to her. Put this, this, and this together to get this. It's just following directions, and trying to understand the concept behind it. Her favorite class is actually transfiguration, because she wants to learn how to become an animagus. She's been studying the process for three years, but so far it's just been book work. She's thinking about talking to the transfiguration teacher to see if they'll help her with the process after she's graduated.
Nicolette spends a lot of time with her cat. She's an animal person, and if she catches someone mistreating an animal of any sort, she's more than likely to attack them. Wand or not. Her favorite animal is just about any feline, but she likes snakes too. She hates dogs, but she still doesn't like to see them mistreated.
Her favorite color is purple, and in her free time, you'll generally find her in purple, green, black, or white. She doesn't wear any of the other house's colors, except for black, unless she can help it.
Due to her mother's work in the muggle world, Nicolette will sometimes have muggle items with her in school. Never anything major, but just some random things that might confuse a sheltered pureblood. Muggle literature is the most common item she carries.
Nicolette is mixed blood. Her father was a half blood, and her mother was a pure blood. She was raised not to judge people based on looks, blood, race, or any other superficial trait.
She's pansexual, in that she doesn't actually see gender when she looks at people. It just doesn't matter to her. She loves for personality, not appearance.
She hates both sweet and sour foods. She adores meat and fresh fruits and vegitables, but hates cooked plants. She adores foreign items, from foods to TV shoes, to clothes and shoes. She only speaks english at the moment, but she's planning to learn other languages soon so that she'll be able to study abroad. Her wand is 12 1/2" Elder wood, with a dragon heart string core.
Nicolette hates floo powder, because she always ends up getting her clothes covered in soot. While she's not fallen in years, she still dislikes walking around looking filthy. She prefers brooms, or walking.
She adores infants, but despises young children. After a child learns how to speak, she stops liking it, unless it's a quiet child to begin with. She can't stand rudeness, ignorance, or rash actions. She's a true Slytherin in that she'll always work to save her own skin in favor of any other human or intelligent creature. However, as mentioned, she has a soft spot for animals. If she sees a kitten about to be run over by a carriage, she's likely to run in front of it and grab the animal. She tends to like animals far more than she's ever liked any human. If you can talk, she probably won't like you at first. She won't hate you, but she probably won't go out of her way to talk to you, unless she wants something from you.
Taking a closer look :
The letter had arrived several days ago. Thick parchment, a slightly yellow shade, with the same spindly writing that had been shown on her last four. She had been accepted for a fifth year at Hogwarts. Her most important year, as she had heard. O.W.L.s were this year, and she imagined that she would have very little free time. Not that it was a new thing for her.
The blond girl sighed, shaking her head. She stood in front of a fireplace, one she had seen thousands of times over her life. She was just getting around to getting to get her supplies. She's talked her mother into taking Matthew herself, instead of Nicolette having to walk him around. They had left, taking the twins on the trip, nearly an hour ago. She'd waited to give them time to spread out.
Now she reached down to her waist, making sure her sack was still hanging on her belt. There was a significantly higher number of coins in her sack than there had been last year. She'd saved up her allowance to pick up a few treats as well as well as her normal school supplies. She momentarily mused over transferring the money to muggle cash and going into muggle London, but brushed the idea out of her head quickly. Her mother would get her anything she asked for from there without her having to figure her way around.
Without giving herself time to think of any other excuse to keep her out of the fire, she reached out and grabbed a small handful of the white powder and threw it down. Walking into the suddenly green flames, she called out, "The Leaky Cauldron!"
Her appearance on the other end was less than satisfactory. She stepped out of the fireplace with a soft sigh, brushing the dark powder out of her hair and off her face as best as she could, before tackling her clothes. She knew a perfectly good spell to remove it from her clothes, but Merlin forbid a minor use magic during the summer. She rolled her eyes.
Nicolette nodded at the bartender as she walked by, but didn't bother glancing at the other customers sitting down and drinking. She walked out to the back and tapped the stones in the right order. She was rewarded with the creaking and groaning of bricks pulling back and opening her path to Diagon Alley. She reached inside her pocket and pulled the letter out, glancing at it once more to try and decide where she should start.
((I'm terribly sorry about the length of this. I've been working on it for about three hours, on and off. Every time I think I'm done, I'll start doing something else, only for another fact to pop in my head that I forgot to include. I'm reading other profiles, and they'll say something like their wand, which was the first thing I forgot, or I'll start looking at another of my roleplay characters on another site, and I'll think of a good fact that would help flesh out her sister, or her mother, or even the cat, haha.))
