Giza'Vermaak waited. She was up earlier than the rest of her family, which was often true for her, since in some ways she liked to have the quiet... but she wanted the others to wake up.
To visit with her parents, to play with her siblings and train with Kyra. Sure, she didn't have the same eyes as her father and some of her siblings... but she certainly fit in with most of her family. She kept up well, striving for excellence and keeping herself in her father's shining eyes whenever she could.
She wouldn't fall behind. She wouldn't allow it. Besides, it was way, way too fun to try and beat her siblings. She didn't, not always, win, but she kept up often enough that she was well known for her tactics.
Really, what could be better? Even living on the run was amusing for her! Mercenaries... murder, danger, really, what could be better than that?

It was morning already and Kyra had decided a day's sleep would be worthless. While Big Evil and his...she didn't want to say it, but mate...female, whatever, would rest she would get some more training in. It was sad though, two of his children were plagued with his eyes which made it near impossible for them to venture utside since no one had found any stray cloth like Big Evil's around. For now, they would sleep, then everyone would move during the night.
Sighing Kyra let her shiv slip from the corner of her mouth, glinting in the sun, in and out, she passed it over her fang to the other side, back and forth. It had taken practice, and a lot of cuts on her tongue, but it was well worth it for a hidden weapon.
Flicking her tail a dark figure caught her eye, and Kyra let her shiv slip back into her mouth. One of his cubs, she sighed, a pang of hurt in her heart, his cubs...not...whatever, she couldn't always dwell on it, could she?

Giza'Vermaak glanced over her shoulder and spotted Kyra. She grinned a little, "Kyra! Hey! You're awake too!" She said, happy instantly. Someone to play with! And Kyra... excellent. No one -except her father anyway- was tougher than her 'big sister' Kyra. Tough Kyra. Strong Kyra. Her role model, to be sure. Someone strong, who could hold out.
Giza trotted over, looking quite pleased, "What are you doing up? I thought you were sleeping with Big Daddy and the others." She mentioned, tilting her head to the side.
She blinked, looking excited, "Something dangerous about? Mercs and the like?"

As Giza came closer Kyra sighed but didn't let it show, she knew how to hide her emotions well, especially now. Flicking her tail she gave a light hearted laugh at the cub's interests in mercs, "Big Evil should have thought twice before telling you guys at this young of age. But tis good you know, and respect what he tells you, and whats best for the rest of us."
Kyra didn't sit, she didn't like doing much of that since she knew, since her time with Riddick as a cub it gave little ones ample time to jump and craw on backs.
"Nothing dangerous about, just taking a patrol, everything seems fine, but what about you? You should be sleeping..."

"Sleep? HA! Sleep is for the weak! Except Big Daddy of course. Everyone else though... It's lions like you and me, up and about, who are the tough ones." Giza inisted, seeming quite pleased with her logic. Not a stretch... Giza tended to be a little high on her mountain when it came down to it. But then, this was nothing new. Everyone seemed to have an ego the size of the jungle in their family.
"Can I go on patrol with you?" Giza asked, "I'm bored and not sleepy and everyone else is all 'light-sensative', you know?" She asked, smiling evilly, "I bet I can help you. I'm small, I can reach places you can't!"
