Light paws traveled over the territory, the dark markings on them appearing like hooves as the balanced nimble legs carried the thin body forward. With the current heat situation, the rogue was forced to travel into territory of another clan, a clan she may have at one point belonged to, but now, her clear eyes narrowed while she shifted swiftly. Her multiorganism pelt aided her in camouflage, while her cautious personality only added to her precise disguise. She had to be careful when in another cat's territory.
The young cat paused for a moment, catching her breath in the heat of the evening, looking about the sky while she had the chance. A soft sigh escaped her maw and her tail flicked about her flank. In a small way she wished for contact with a fellow feline, but knowing the consequences Life brushed the idea away. Coming across the wrong cat at the wrong time could possibly cost her life, and if not that, she wasn't looking forward to a maiming.
Flicking her ears, she settled down, taking refuge there beneath a dry bush hoping for the shade to somehow relieve the intensity of the night.

He was a true spy. The orange male lounged about in a dead tree high enough where he couldn't be seen or smelt from the ground, but not to where he couldn't spot what he was looking for. His orange fur fluffed when he heard a small something slid into the brush. He peeked over the side of the thick branch he was laying on. He dug his sharp claws into the dying bark as his rust hued eyes scanned the ground. He saw nothing to his interest, but something didn't feel right. He swung back up.
"Shal I risk it?" he mused to himself. Before he could really think of an answer he leaped off of his branceh and almost silently landed on another a bit below him. His long claws proved useful as he made his way down the maze of branches in the dark. Being an ambush predator proved useful, but his bright coat would be his downfall.
"Opps!" he mewed as his foot slipped and he almost fell. Though he didn't, some dried bark did. He hugged the branch. Whatever had made him nervous would know he was there now.

The male was well enough above the ground that he had cleverly gone unnoticed by the calm female. That was until the bits of bark fell into the brush beside, her startling her into attention and forcing her claws forward in defense while her sharp eyes immediately turned upward. It was difficult peeking through the bush, near impossible to make out anything but leaves and further branches. But she thought she saw something orange flash before her eyes.
This interested her.
Flicking her tail, the she-cat stood slowly, making not to keep completely silent in the event she had run into a Thunder Clan member. It was likely that this was the case, and if so, she knew she had to keep her wits about her knowing full well that the advantage the rogue had gained because of the drought, had also brought up many other issues. The cats of the different clans were both distracted by the food shortage, and made more aware of those who were crossing into their territories. It was a double blade sword.
Finally she peeked her head out from under her shelter, staring up at the form of the male cat. He looked silly there hanging to the branch, but amusing. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked pointedly. If this was a rogue then perhaps she could fool him into believing she belonged to the clan she was trespassing on in order to get him to leave. But maybe she didn't want him to leave just yet.

Snakefang regained his footing and slid the rest of the way down the tree. He used his slender tail for balance as he lunged from branch to branch. His paws hit the earth and he streached out his body.
"Hey there pretty lady!" he smiled, trying to say every word as clearly as he could muster instead of his usual sland dialect. "What... brings you... 'ere?" It had slipped. He got closer and closer to her trying to catch her scent and see if she smelled of the clan he had left.
