Ganon Firenight Vice Captain

[While in the main forum, a problem came up-- we don't know where our herd is set, and I think the best way to establish it would be a roleplay! We can quickly set up a rules thread and profile thread, and I've taken the liberty of making a post to get things rolling, and I'll gladly move this to the Roleplay forum when we're ready. :3]
Ganon trotted a bit ahead of the rest of the herd, shaking his head in the noonday light shining through on his brilliant white fur. His hooves mashed the dirt as he broke into a bit of a run, scouting ahead for anything that would pose a threat to the rest of his herd, and shortly he turned and ran back to them, falling into step. "Everything's clear ahead. The birds say there's a lake about half-a-day's walk ahead, with some nice forest cover." Pleased by the relieved looks on the faces of his tired herd, he motioned to Kuma to come closer, sidling up to her.
He murmured, "If the territory isn't taken, we should be able to settle down there for a few nights. Maybe even weeks, or... Well, wandering around all the time is starting to grow tiresome... how can we raise a village without our own territory?" He raised inquisitive brows at the herd's leader, flicking his tail and waiting for her response.

Yuritsuki trotted silently from the underbrush. She was usually the stoic one. She never really said anything she personally deemed unnecessary and was more selective with her words. She was an able-bodied kentauride, quick, nimble, and young. But she couldn’t see. She wasn’t blind, however her eyes remain blindfolded. A very zealous kentauride, she left her senses entirely to all Nature around her. To speak to her and let the trees, water, the very earth beneath their hoofs be her eyes.
Centaurs parted for her not wishing to be an obstacle for the sightless kentauride. “I hear water,” Yuritsuki said, confirming what the birds have told Ganon. She stationed herself next to the two. She moved her head about, letting her ears hear Nature speak. She smiled, “life here is strong, and thriving.”
(OOC: A kentauride is a female centaur, by the way.)

The wind began to play around the nape of the young kentauride's neck, drifting between the ends of her white mane in a never ending game of hide-and-seek. It whistled into her ears as if betraying the secrets of this new land and the chieftain listened intently. Silver eyes, older and wearier than most her age, began to take in the scene painted before herself and the herd. A light fog acted as blanket on the tender grass that covered the hills of this place, the sun's rays intertwined like intricate thread upon cloth. It was whimsical, almost magical, but still the herd's leader was at an unease. They had been traveling for a long time, mostly due to her own selfish need to keep moving. The others were growing tired and she knew it, but still, she had no want to settle. Closing her eyes, she thought over what her father would have done if he had lived and managed to become the herd's leader.
He would let them rest... We would have settled by now...
Eventually, Kuma allowed herself to look up Ganon and take in what he had said to her. A frown tainted her lips, her grey eyes becoming a shade darker as she took in this information.
"The land has not proven itself to us," she declared roughly, "We can rest here, but if I deem the land unworthy we continue on." With that she straightened her body and headed toward the sound of water, calling upon her natural compass to tell her where she was. The kentauride was thoughtful, calculating how far they have traveled since they left Gambino's wall. It wasn't long until she figured out where they must be. The largest natural lake in all of Gaia was here. Bass'kin lake.

A grey/white Kentauride was walking along a road. On her forhead was a white horn. All she knew is that her family where the only centaurs of this nature. She was a pale filly as she gave a sigh and then she looked around with her light blue eyes. She was thrusty for water because she was on the road for a long time walking. Most people she ran into thought she was blind but it wasn't the case. She could see just fine. Her light white hair blew into her face she had to give another sight sigh of slight annoyance. She was alone in the world. Her family was gone. She looked around as she thought she heard a scream...no just her imagination it was a bird and nothing more. Her mind did that to her. She kept on walking...

A bit behind the rest of the herd walked a small kentauride. A single golden eye peered wearily out from behind her midnight hair, the other eye gone, lost from when she had been attacked when she was younger. Some whisps of her raven mane drifted into Tori's face, but she ignored it trying to simply follow and keep up. She walked with her head down, her dull silver horn reflecting her own worn-out spirit.
She caught up with the rets of the herd to hear Kuma say they could stop and rest. Tori sighed in relief. It was a hard life, wandering around without a place to call home. She hoped that where ever they stopped, the herd would stay.

"Takuya its time for lunch!" A young Takuya Hope Star looked over to her mother and then ran with glee. Wasn't often they had her favort. "Mom! its hope! I hate the name Takuya." She said as she ran up. "Ok ok Hope. Its lunch time.." Hope suddley jurked awake as she had the same dream again. She had to give a sigh of refile. Normaily the dream would go to the darker moment of the day but for once she was glad it didn't. She had enough to worry about as her stomic growled due to hunger. "I know.." She said lightly. She had been on the road for days with out another sign of another centuar or Kentauride around. She was afread to get close to humans...her mother told her it was best to keep her own spieces and she didn't have any gold. Her only hope was to find another herd..or something but her hope was running out. She got up from under the tree and warily she started to walk on. When will my torment end? She thought to herself as a tear ran down her face.

Yuritsuki stood very silent, head pointed towards the sky like a wary bird. Her ears perked, quite often really as sound is all she could rely on to identify her surroundings. Not even the rustling of a single leaf escaped her notice, for her hearing was keen. She hadn't the luxury of eyesight since the age of seven when she first donned the blindfold. If she removed these folds now, she would truly go blind.
She tilted her head, “Ganon?” she called, knowing just where he was standing. The sound of the wind that weaved intricately through these trees drew his form for her, and carried his scent. The gentle breeze caused a bang to fall to her nose, brushing against her face playfully.

{{OoC- Since Kawaii and I are of Durem, we were not quite sure where to post our entrance, so we just assumed to post here and meet up with the rest of the herd at some point. Hope you don't mind. }}
A cool breeze crept over the land past the city of Durem to the lesser-known area of where the Von Helson Manor presides. The only scent available to the senses of one white kentauride was that of pine trees, the river water and of the faint hint of dead earth from the graveyards separating the rest of Durem from this peaceful place. The long white mane that cascaded down her back and over her white cloak which covered her body in full shuffled slightly then settled down once the refreshing air was gone.
Membrana Tibia sighed with exasperation as she pulled the stray strands gently to rest behind her horse's ears, she rather liked the breezes that came through but lately the air was rather still. Her white horn glittered slightly in the noon light before her silver hooves took to moving to the shaded area under an over-grown pine tree. She dug her hooves into the earth a couple of times before giving her legs a rest from standing, a force of habit that she really could not pin-point exactly where it originated. She wasn't off-set by the stale weather, just hated this time of year for that very fact despite how used to it she was.
She lazily fiddled with the golden trimming and gilded edges of her the pretty little tome she had abducted from that very same manor on the high ridge only connected to life by a single, fragile bridge. A grin broke across the female's face, one more of spite than of pride. Those in there still, in all probability, lacked knowledge of her intrusion and theft.

Hope walked all day. She didn't know where she is and at the moment she didn't really care. Hope had her head bent down because of the hot sun. Her white horn at a 90 degree angle. She had only water for her hunger and that didn't do much. She gave a sigh as she layied down in the cool shade. "I'm doomed..." She said to herself. Her coat was dirty and her once shiny hooves where coated with mud. Her clock was in worse shape. Torn and tated. Hope could only hope for refile...in any kind of way. Weakly she layied down to sleep...She didn't know if she would live to see tomarrow...and frankly she didn't care.

A bay shadow crept through the trees, intent on its prey. Carefully placed hooves barely made a sound, the layers of decayed plants and dead leaves making a natural carpet. It stopped behind the white kentauride, carefully plotting its moment. The shadow's weight shifted as it hurled itself forward, with an exuberant cry.
"Ana!" Rin squealed, clinging tightly to her friend. Noticing the book, she made a grab for it. "What's that, huh?" A lock of her raven dark hair fell in front of her green eyes and she blew at it impatiently, still reaching for the shiny volume.

The white kentauride practically lept out of her skin at the sudden sound of Rin. She growled lowly in her throat and desperately tried to hold the tome out of reach of her companion.
"Nothing, nothing at all!" She stuck out her tongue in a childish fashion as she wrenched herself away, bolting with the book a short distance. Turning back to Rin, she grinned, opening the pretty book and flipping through the pages. Dust flew as each page turned, it had been untouched for many a decade on the shelf back in the manor- just like all the other books she stole and were hidden neatly away in the den of her home tucked into one of the denser parts of the forest. She stopped at a page depicting fanciful creatures in flight- the imps of both angelic and demonic persuasion. "See? Just pretty pictures!" Mostly these texts were words but the pictures, done in golden ink and red coloring on the frail parchment pages, were enough to grab anyone's attention. She just couldn't resist how shiny and pretty these books were.

Rin giggled as Ana moved away from her. Normally, she wasn't interested in books, as she couldn't keep her attention focused on one thing for very long. But this one.... this one was shiny! She leaned in close, eyes wide, her finger just inches away from the page as she examined the picture. "Hey, you're right!" she said. "They are pretty pictures!"

Membriana quickly pulled the tome away and closed it, giving a wink and a promise of a story about the image after she figured out the translation of the text. Until then, she would probably make something up. For a convenient change of subject, she switched to something more necessary than their infatuation over shiny things, (as if it weren't noticeable by the jewelry and things Tibia donned.)
"How did your hunting excursion go? Hopefully something better than the normal, like a human or something." A playful glint was in her bright blue eyes and hoped that something other than the normal fish or rabbit had been caught- that is if Rin had been out hunting or was just playing around like she, herself, had been.

Her ears drooped slightly as Membriana closed the pretty book, and she shook her head. "Nah, humans are nasty filthy creatures. Everyone knows that. I bet they'd taste horrible!" The bay kentauride leaned in and lowered her voice conspiratorially. "I found something much better! C'mon, I'll show ya!"
She grabbed Ana's hand and pulled her towards the forest, looking back to make sure she was coming.
