Honestly, I think it will be a pile of crap, just like St.Anger, all they care about now is money...

They say they're returning to the old thrash roots, which is when they kicked a**, but honestly, I'm not that excited. Metallica got me into real music, but they're a big bunch of d-bags right now (mostly Lars).

I think the album will be better than Load/Reload/St. Anger, but not as good as the older ones. My heart wants them to return to their roots, but my brain knows that won't happen. Truth is, they're older now, and I think the success of the Black album went to their heads. Yeah, I agree, they are a bunch of D-bags now, especially Lars.

I think they tried to go back to their roots, but they're just getting too old to come up with anything good now. The only song I really like of their new album is "Devils Dance".. And It's not even that good. Their best albums I would say were "Ride the Lightning" and "Master of Puppets" (The Albums) My fav. song by them is Blackened. It fast, and a challenging song to play. Back to the point.. I don't think their new album is good.. I'm not buying it..

I'm not expecting much. :/ But I really do hope it's good, I mean, They're getting pretty old, they need an awesome album to end their career. Still, can't wait to hear Unforgiven III.

St. Anger got a lot more s**t than it deserved. It wasn't classic Metalica no, but it was still a good album. Better than most the metal albums floating around these days anyway. I was a big Metalica fan before that album, and really enjoyed it. It didn't have solo's or many drum fills, but it still had some of their catchiest songs to date. People want them to be the way they were and can't accept that they're not 25 any more. I think the next album will be great, and can't wait to hear it.
*Prepares self for flamers.*

I don't like the same stuff I liked 3 years ago and much less 15 years ago. My style has changed as much as anyone elses over time. Why should they be held to different standards? I'm surprized they are even still doing metal after listening to the cover of Tuesdays Gone. Glad they are tho. smile I'll be buying the album and if I don't like it it won't be the first (or last) album I own that I don't listen to. I'm pretty confident in say that I've rocked out to so many Metallica songs over the years that they deserve the time of day from me.

They are old, and honestly even since they cut theitr hair, they have sucked. But still, I heard a track off their album, and it sounds good? btw....why aren't we talking about GH: Metallica?

I hated st anger, but bought the new Album after listening to most of their new songs off it. if load Metallica and Old Metallica had a baby it's name would be death magnetic, it's easily their best since the Black Album, maybe ....And Justice For All.

The drums sounded like trash cans, Hetfield sounded like the singer to Nickelback, and you couldn't even hear any of the other instruments. I could name at least 30 metal albums released that same year that were better than St. Anger; probably more. It was by far their worst release to date. That said, I respect your opinion. It's all about Testament, anyway...*Waits to be flamed*
