Basically, Kabbalists are prophecizing upcoming disasters.
Personally, you don't need to make threats to get me to come to Israel.
Now, I don't know a lot about Kabbalists. All I know is that it takes decades upon decades to even partially study. Yet another reason to hate Madonna and her "rabbi."
But I digress.
What do you think?

To pick up your life and move to Israel? Well, yea, for most of us it is because we're in high school. But I'm looking into some stuff that will at least allow me to live in Israel for a little while. A cousin of mine went on a program where you spend like 2/3 months living in Israel and studying. I might apply to do that for the beginning of my senior year (next year). Sure, it's impractical, but I could see myself living in Israel for at least a few months to study at some point in my life. I think that if it were more practical, my dad would want to just pick up the family and move us to Israel. I'm not so sure that the disasters have to do with the coming of the Mashiach though. I mean, it's all horrifying and all, but looking at the world today? I don't think we're anywhere near completing the mitzvah of Tikkun Olam, so I don't think we'll be seeing the Mashiach just yet.

Christians are going more with the 'Jesus is coming back' angle though.

That going to happen? And don't worry about it. First off, most Israelis do speak English. Secondly, if you were to move to Israel for any length of time, immersion in the language basically forces you to learn it.

YvetteEmilieDupont eh they havent' called bakc in 2 weeks i was goin call them back tomorrow after the sabbath ^.^ hee hee Good luck with that! I hope it pulls through. Even if you don't learn enough Hebrew to be able to speak it, just being able to read the texts in Hebrew makes a huge difference for understanding them.
