A large metallic green platform sits upon the rolling seas of Limbo, pure chaos everywhere. At one end of the oval platform a man in rather drab clothing stands leaning against a pale green staff, seemingly made out of some type of metal. The upper half of the staff seems to shift the light around it, forcing those looking upon it to want to look around it rather than at it. He stands with his face turned towards the ground, clentching and unclentching his fists as his clothes billow around him, waiting for someone worthwhile to answer his call. The chaos flared within his mind, controlled and ready to be focused. He was a Shifter, akin to the rolling seas of Limbo from which he was born, unpredicatable. He was Valesk.

With a small shock of light, another person landed within the confines of limbo, standing on a yellow platform, rapier at the ready. "En guarde." His words were simple, and well spoken, his brown hair with a shock of white swaying with a non-exsistant breeze, his body shifting slightly. "Sir." He offered out, to finish it up with a large form of respect. His white cape swaying a bit with it's yellow inlining, his pants and shirt not as special in any particular way.

Valesk slowly looked up, a purple glow illuminating his eyes somewhere deep within, his skin shuddering, tiny waves rolling just beneath the surface, not unlike the sea all around them. With a step forward the staff popped up with a quick motion of one hand, catching it at the end with both hands. With a quick turn he slammed the staff into the ground on his right and then brought it up and over as he whirled around and slammed it into the ground on his left, each impact creating a flash of green. From the second impact he brought the staff forward to point at the newcomer, it was all a show, and quite random at that, "You can call me Valesk. Do I have the privilage of knowing the name of the one that shall be consumed by the ordered disorder?" The dim purple glow flashed a sickly green for a moment as he awaited a responce.

"Ian, sir. Ian Masterson. You can call me lightning though." He smirked, twirling his blade and swinging his rapier with precision and grace. "Now, let us fight, for honor. For fun."

Valesk smirked, "Lightning eh? Chaotic as they come. Never striking the same place twice and never following the same path. Someone with such a name had to earn it in some way, and you look far too inept with that blade to have earned your namesake from that." The staff shifted in his hands slightly as he began stalking forward, moving it to hold it near the middle. The staff seemed to be as solidly built as a slab of adamantium, but also as lightweight and flexible as aluminum, there was definately something odd about it. As he stalked closer he prepared himself to parry any attack made with a quick thrust, up and to the left, or down and to the right, depending on the angle of attack.

With one quick movement, unseen to an untrained eye, he made one quick follow through of a slice with the tip, ending out in a position past the male where his blade was slightly behidn him with his arm extended and his body ready to jump up if needed, all within one second.

What came next could truly be called random. Valesk brought the staff around to his own right, but the opposite end seemed to flail around wildly from up high. The wild motions creating a veritable wall on one side of Ian, with the normal end of the staff coming from the other.

He his body already ready for something like an attack, he lept into the air, landing about two yards frmo the other, rapier leading towards the other as he took a dfensive stance. "Interesting."

The staff whips around him as he slowly brings his arm to a stop before him, fully facing Ian. He smirks as he scans over him once, "I can tell this will turn out to be a highly interesting matchup. Hopefully I can avoid destroying ever last vestiage of your face, maybe preserve a shrunken version in a jar or something." His smirk faded as he took a step forward and slammed his staff into the ground, seemingly liquifying it and dispersing it over a small area of the green metal disk upon which they were floating, what exactly he did was unable to be seen.

"I already have the piece I'm gonna keep." He held up a piece of cloth which had been earlier sliced neatly from the corner of Valesk's pants, obviosly he had either taken his time or had gotten very lucky. He lept up off of the green platform, using a bit of electricity to keep him in the air above the other.

With a slight pitch of the disk a great cage of chaos formed around them, with the cause, a Chaos Wave, coming only moments after. Effects bring about the cause, as is the nature of Chaos. Valesk pushed forward and kicked off the ground as shards of the disk sent shrapnel flying everywhere throughout the cage, any striking Valesk simply falling away quickly as they neared him.

He quickly dropped down, a wall of static rising above and around him, flinging the shards away, before he lowered his shielding to look him over. "Interesting way of working... this is going quite well, if you ask me."

Valesk still remained in the air, floating gently, but the Staff was still connected to the green disk. He smirked as he lifted the staff, pulling the whole of the disk with it. It dropped suddenly and a wave of chaos rolled out from below, wasing back over the top of the disk as large pieces pulled up and began flailing around like flailing blade things.

He lept up, forcing the flying blade things awa as he lifted his rapier, watching as it seemed to electrify. His aim was to land the blade in the other, and if not, he would stick it right next to him, to which a bolt of pure concentrated electricity, or in lamence terms, a bolt of lightning, would strike.
