Mik tugged awkwardly on the dress shirt and tie that Raife was making him try on. Two occasions necessitated the formal wear, a wedding and a funeral both. The museling was looking forward to neither. He wasn't exactly enjoying shopping either, and he was in a rather foul mood, all buttoned up, wings tucked down, since they very well couldn't cut wing holes into the dress clothes until they were bought. He wanted to be with Levi today, with his new boat, sorry, ship. Really, he felt left out. He couldn't go with Levi... not yet. There were too many things ashore left for him to do. He supposed Levi had his hands full anyway, arranging his crew and charming women at the docks with his new pride and joy.
It was nice to see Raife again. It'd been months since he'd last spent time with the man, months since he left for the Villa, hidden from the threats that haunted him. Even now, every once in a while, he'd get a little prickle on the back of his neck like someone was watching him. He supposed it might never go away.
He watched idly as Raife shuffled off back into the racks of clothes for a suit jacket, and sighed, wrinkling his nose at his own reflection in the mirror. Surprise, surprise, no matter how quickly he aged, he was still pale, small for his age and a little scrawny.

"You're sure you'll be alright while I take Seraphine to find clothes more her size?" Crescentia smiled, hiding any worry that her recently awakened daughter may or may not be kidnapped or abducted or fall back into a coma. Guin knew she was still concerned though. Guin grinned and nodded, folding her arms behind her head."You know where to find us if you need anything."
"Bye Momma, Seraphine~" Seduire ruffled his feathers in a huff and Guinevere laughed. "Bye Seduire." Waiting for her mother to finally walk away, Guin turned and started to look through the sea of clothes. So many! But none of them seemed to be her style so far. Oh! This dress looked lovely! And it looked her size! Older girls had way more fun clothes than baby girls did! She loved this!
Guin hummed merrily as she plucked the dress off the rack and headed for the fitting rooms, doing the completely stupid thing and walking with her eyes closed. Not...sure why...maybe she just trusted she wouldn't crash into anyone or anything.

Mik stumbled, face smushing into the mirror in front of him as someone carelessly walked into him. He muffled some sort of half hearted protest, turning to frown at whoever interrupted his private sulk. It was a girl his age, and she seemed benign enough... a little absentminded, but non-threatening... but there was something... something about her bothered him. A familiar feeling that made the tiny hairs on the back of his neck stand up.
And for Mik, any sort of unusually familiar feeling was usually a warning sign. He stiffened a bit and shrunk back into himself a little, before forcing himself to calm down, relax, and consider. "W-who are you? Do...I know you?"
Even still, he was prepared to bolt at a moment's notice.

Guin gasped when she suddenly hit something. No, not something, someone. "Oh gosh! I'm so sorry!" The girl whirled around to turn back to whoever she'd pushed against a mirror, almost tripping on her scarf as it wrapped around her leg. She managed to catch her balance quickly enough...granted it wasn't very graceful but what's done is done. At least she hadn't met the floor. When Guinevere was finally given the chance to properly regard the boy in front of her she paused, blinking and staring at him for a moment. Did she know this boy? She felt like she should...but she couldn't remember his face for the life of her! She could swear she'd never seen it before. Maybe she was just really little?
"Um, I'm Guinevere!" She said in a breath of a laugh, clearly embarrassed about not only bumping into him but almost falling because of it. Draping the dress she wanted to try on over one shoulder, Guin did a quick little curtsey for the boy and smiled brightly. "And I'm not really sure! I don't think I've met you before...unless we were both babies or something!" Again she was laughing out of embarrassment. Oh man! He thought they knew each other too?! How could she forget if she'd met someone?
Maybe it was just a really weird gut feeling?

"You..." Mikhael circled her warily, eyes darting over her in a scrutinizing manner. "No, something feels...Ah!" He slapped his hands together lightly, as he placed the feeling, and his demeanor relaxed substantially. "Are you... a Legend?" He paused and considered her a minute more. "That's the feeling. Can you feel it?" Of course, that's what it was. That familiar tug of being bound by circumstance. An ancient, unexplainable knowledge.
He didn't recognize this one, but then again, he supposed he spent most of his younger years socializing with boys, and his older years...well, far from the Legends HQ for the most part. It was too dangerous then. It was worse now.
"I'm Mikhael."

Something felt wh--ah! What? Guinevere jumped a little at the sudden exclamation. Ah? Ah what? "Oh! Yes! I am!" The girl's eyes widened with realization and she clapped her hands together under her chin, stepping closer to the boy. "I do! I do! Does that mean you're one too like Paestri and Kitsumai?" How exciting! Of all the places to meet someone like her, Guinevere never thought this would be one of them.
She smiled brighter when Mikhael finally introduced himself to her, bowing her head for a moment instead of giving him another curtsey. "It's a pleasure to meet you! ...You don't look very comfortable in that outfit." How odd.

Mik took a step back, slightly uncomfortable with the girl's step into his personal space, but smiled slightly. "Yeah."
At her statement about his state of dress, he chuckled shortly under his breath. "Guess it shows, huh?" He turned to the mirror, trying to straighten the tie for a moment, before tugging it off. "Hate shopping. I look stupid. Feel stupid." He stared at himself for a moment, before turning back to Guin.
"Whadd're you doing here?" He chuckled a little bit at the question. Stupid question. Department store... not much else to do. "Shopping, I guess, huh?"

It was, unfortunately, a trait she'd picked up from Crescentia. What's personal space? She'd never heard of the thing.
She giggled and nodded at Mik's question, peeking over his shoulder when he turned back to the mirror. The tie looked a little much for a boy their age, a thought that Mik seemed to agree with when he took it off entirely. She hopped back a step and smiled as he turned around and complained about shopping, holding her dress out in front of her for a moment. "It's not so bad! I think it's fun."
Mik's question took Guin's attention away from the dress, nodding and holding the dress against herself. "Yeah, none of my old clothes are ever going to fit me ever again so I need new stuff~!" She tilted her head a little. "How come you're here? Do your clothes not fit either?"

"Guess you could say that." He considered himself absently. His pants were getting a little short, should bring that up to Raife when the man returned. "Got to dress nice for something, so..." He muttered a bit, under his breath, clearly irritated with the store. He'd tried on ten shirts, twenty-three ties, and five pairs of slacks. Maybe... He looked around warily for his guardian...
"Wanna get out of here? I want some ice cream." He was already taking off the dress shirt, stripping down to the regular t-shirt that he was wearing underneath.

"Oooh like a wedding or something?" Guinevere loved weddings! The man and the woman in her dream were going to have one! ...Wait, that was a weird thought. She made a little face at that, quickly shaking her head and looking back at Mik. Go out and get ice cream? But...what about...
Guinevere looked down at the dress she was holding. Ice cream, shopping, ice cream, shopping...scaring Crescentia half to death, ice cream...Crescentia would be worried if she couldn't find Guinevere...
"Sure! I'll just go put this dress back where I found it~!" She was humming again as she hurried off to put the dress back on the rack, returning to Mik a minute or so later clearly ready for him to lead the way to the ice cream place. Yay ice cream~!

Raife would say that it was clearly the pirate's negative influence, but when your guardian is a thief, it's really hard to lay blame. As Guin came back, Mikhael looked around for Raife --still nowhere to be scene-- and ducked below the line of sight created by the racks of clothing. He smiled and pressed his finger to his lips for silence, and, taking her gently by the arm, steered through the maze of clothing into the mall proper.
Still coughing a bit from the overwhelming presence of the perfume section, he breathed a sigh of relief when they made it out of the store. It's not like Raife would scold him seriously for running off, but he was generally a pretty cautious kid, so it always made him a little nervous to break the rules so blatantly.
"Think there's a Haagen Daaz up ahead."

Guinevere's mother wasn't a thief, but a couple members of her huge family were known to not miss a couple opportunities. She imagined being a gypsy was plenty of fun. Being a gypsy's daughter had its perks as well though! You got away with more when your mother had no shame and very few rules to follow.
Following Mik's lead, Guin ducked down with him and put a hand over her mouth to muffle her soft giggle, keeping quiet the entire time they were sneaking through the clothes. Oh, come on! The perfume section wasn't that bad! Maybe just because he was a boy he couldn't handle the smell.
"That was fun!" Guinevere finally laughed when they were out of the store and into the main part of the mall. Ooh, Haagen Daaz? She smelled Mrs. Field's too! "Ooh o--wait..." She started to pat herself down. Oh dear, she remembered now! She...had no money on her. No place to keep it. Now she was worried she wouldn't be able to get the ice cream! It's not like she could steal it.
