For those of you not in the know, 5D's is the newest spin-off of YGO. It's been airing in Japan since April and is slated to make the journey overseas to the US via 4Kids this September.

Time changes all things and, inevitably, advancement is always accompanied by degradation. Far in Domino City's future, nothing is the same - not even dueling. What once were the streets where Kaiba began his Duelist City Tournament, where Yugi caught the bus to school with his friends, now is a dim and desparing slum called Satilite whose poor citizens "exist" to recycle the garbage coming down from Neo Domino City.

5D's begins as the story of one such citizen of Satilite, Yusei. Older than both Yugi and Judai, Yusei is quiet and calm. Two years ago a friend stole his most important Duel Monster and the D-Wheeler he'd built from scratch to make his own way to the prestigeous tournaments of Neo Domino City. D-Wheelers are the motorcycles used in dueling. That's right, high speed dueling.

Yusei isn't filled with revenge, he doesn't even seem overly angry but he is determined to get that card back and has built a new D-Wheel since to help him accomplish just that.

But 5D's isn't completely devoid of the supernatural either. 5 duelists exist who have been marked by dragon markings (the wings, the tail...) that apper in glowing red and will be brought together by fate and sinister purpose. Yusei and his former friend Jack are two of the five.

So here's the run down, Domino city has turned into Arcadies, dueling has completely changed, our hero is actually old enough for all of those inevitable fanfiction authors to feel zero guilt, and did I mention he's a hacker? So what's the craziest, most disturbing thing about the future?

Ushio is in it.


This is the place for all things 5D's. And this is Yusei.

Yusei has a host of challanges ahead of him. Breaking out of Satilite isn't as easy as it sounds. One can't just waltz into Neo Domino City whenever the urge hits them and once he gets there he still has to face Jack, whose made a name for himself in the past two years as Duel King (the guy has a seceratery and everything).

Sadly, no one like Anzu anywhere in 5Ds. There are two (count em - TWO) lead females. The hardened Aki who battles with the Black Rose Dragon and the innocent Ruka who battles with Fairy Dragon and can communicate with the duel spirits. Both are surely the best females YGO has ever dealt with as they are both kick-a** duelists (previously, each series only had one "token" female character.

As to how the world changes over time, well, time changes all things.

I like yuseis D-wheel it's cool but Jacks sucks. How can you see through the white thing in frount? Dueling would be hard enough on a bike let alone one you can't see were the hell your going on.

*is not a Jack fan* I like Yusei and Aki. but what I really like are the dragons biggrin

yeah but if your assuming that they have moniters and such then while there duleing then to ensure safty there should be and auto pilot ro an advanced system to drive the bike for you while you duel so you don't crash.
just going with your logic on that one.

and what about me and my dragons?

well when you get a chanve to use high speed interent you can look it up on Youtube it's on there in ten minute segments and subtitled. its way farther there than it is in english on fox.

I am not a fan of jack or his d-wheelso XP and your right the one or to episodes I watched I was like ok this makes no sence to me. when i had watched and episod or two of the subbed and it made sence.
