Name: Skyla Flores
Gender: Female
Age: 11
Year: First
House: Gryffindor
Ethnicity: English
Hair Color: Long, straight brown hair
Eye Color: Soft hazelnut brown
Pet: A young, slender calico cat with a snow-white belly. Her white paws are shaped like mittens, and she has dazzling emerald eyes. Her name is Aimie. She's very calm, collected, and intelligent, but gets rather irritated when people make loud noise. At that point, she usually becomes displeased and wanders off to find a quieter setting.
Home Life: Out of Hogwarts, Skyla lives with her family in a quiet little town near the coast. Her mother is a Muggle with artistic talent. She paints and creates designs for various businesses, but works mainly at home, giving her plenty of time to spend with her children. Skyla's father is a wizard who works for the Ministry, and he is frequently too busy to be at home for long periods of time. Skyla has one sibling, a smart-aleck little brother who has yet to discover any magical ability.
Diving deeper: Skyla is an independent, bold, and spirited girl with a cheerful attitude. She believes in what she thinks, and is inafraid to state her opinions. Negativity never really fazes her, so she's quite optimistic... or maybe just a bit stubborn. Her energy is quite boundless. She is not the type to follow every rule down to the punch, although she does her best to try. And with her love of excitement and adventure, she constantly looks for fun things to do, even if she shouldn't be doing them. This can lead to troublesome or dangerous situations, especially if she doesn't think things through. But wherever she's at and whatever she gets into, Skyla loves the companionship of friends. Otherwise, she has a tendency to feel a bit lonely. In terms of smartness, Skyla can be called intelligent, but not quite academically. She has the potential to excel, but never puts that much effort into learning things that don't interest her. However, she possesses a degree of worldly knowledge and awareness that makes up for it.
Taking a closer look: ... The sight of the pointed towers of the castle was her first glimpse at the magical school of Hogwarts. It was certainly an exhilarating thing; she had nearly jumped with happiness when she received her letter in what seemed like ages ago. Skyla felt only the slightest tinge of homesickness as the boats carried the students to the school. Barely moments later, she found herself seated at one of the long tables of the Great Hall, happily sorted and surrounded by wonderful foods and potential new friends. She turned to the Gryffindors around her to start conversations. While her heart beat in anticipation, the lights hovering above glittered merrily, reflecting her excitement.
