I was just at the sight, and I am shocked. I had early read thew newest comic at VGCats.com, and I thought it was a joke. the controller is a remote... I like nntendo and all, But i am against this Idea, and another thing, I had heard you can play GameCube games on the revolution, is this true? I hope so. and if it is, is there a place to plug in your GameCube controller. I want to get the new revolution, but i'm afraid it I may neglect buying it like I neglected buying the DS.

Scott from Vgcats did over react. I just think it's silly to see the Revolution controller as some sort or sex toy or something...

But you are not the first one. It is more understandable when you see and hear the types of games that can be played one it.

On the Cube controller, yes you can play Cube games on the Revoltuion and use your Cube controller as there is a place on the side of the Rev' where you plus in 4 controllers and 2 memory cards.

Also, can I ask why your neglecting the Ds...just wonder really.

for the neglect, i got a few reasons

1. No money (that should say it all)
2. I said i'd only buy it if it played game boy games

and um, ya, anyways, I hope you can plug in your GC controller, cause I use Mini-controllers, and I heard that they make "shells" for the remote, ones that resemble the controller of an older system.

I've heard about the shells too but I think there will also be one for the Revolution itself....for the third party developers and various games that wouldn't work well with the new computer.

It's nice that you can play GC games on the Revolution....but I for one won't sell my GC. I'm more excited about the NES, SNES, and N64 games that (I think) the Nintendo titles at least will be free for download. I didn't really get into games all that much till around the middle/end of the N64 era and I havn't had much luck getting games used so that'll be fun.

the gamers are not free, but I think they should use some code off the back of the cartidge, that you can use to download the game, instead of buying it.

Scott from Vgcats did over react.

I would'nt say he overreacted, he just made a humourous situation of each of the systems, and the remote controller was a perfect target.

PErsonnaly I think it has many possibilities and I'm really excited for it. I just want to see actual games being played using it before I make my decision.

And to answer a few questions:

Chaos: there is 4 controller ports on the side of the system, they are just hidden by a door.
Also, yes they are making some sort of shell. I doubt it will resemble any paticular controller, just a new deisgn for those who perfer that sort of design.

Macar: All games will not be free to download, unless any third party companies wish to do so. I mean, you dont expect Nintendo to give us everything free, right? If they gave us all of their games free, they would be losing money.

eh...yea, i just thought i heard/saw/read somewhere a Nintendo spokesman saying that the first party games would be a free download....it'd be nice of them. sweatdrop ...but yea i know its unlikely.

I wasn't talking about his comic, I was talking about his update in his home page saying bascally that cause of the Revolution this means the end of them.

I don't dislike him, just that remark.

YES!!! ... well, I hope you're right, that will be nice, but what sucks though, is that even though it comes with the DvD player built in (which is nice) is that you have to buy something to activate it...

Scott has to over exagerate things when it comes to comics. That's what they do. Look at PA.

Still, at first I was sort of against it, but now I have to admit, I'm starting to get exited at what it might be like to play games with it.
I plan on getting the Rev, and I'm hoping there will be lot's of games with lots of different uses for the controller... remote... thing.

Anyway, you can still use the CG controller, so it's all good.

I can see Zelda using it to fight, or solve puzzles. Hookshot, arrows? I'd buy.

I think that the controller is cool. It may be different, but it is necessary to have something new in this time where everything is a sequel or a liscensed game. Think about how cool it would be for, like, a Star Wars game swinging it like a lightsaber. I can't wait.

Indeed. but skeptics are needed. If there had been more skeptics Palpatine may never have been elected.
