Alright. I think we need a revival here. I know that at the moment a lot of people have started a new school year, and that's fine, so have I. But we really need to come up with some ideas that will keep the guild going. There is so much talent in this guild, more than I can say. Enthusiasm and creativity is a big priority here. All you have to do is take a talent, whether a hobby or even a profession, and transform it into something that can support the guild and spread the word about asexuality. Examples of this are random spam, Rps, manga/anime/webcomics, banner designs, stories, funny pictures, games, etc. There is no end!
Today I was in the library, and I was overhearing a conversation from two very nice girls. Of course they were sexual, since they were talking about magazines and boys. Nothing wrong with that. What disturbed me was that they suddenly were chatting about a 'freaky sex facts' article, where one of the 'facts' was Asexuality. Where a person is not attracted to either sex.
That is disguisting. Freaky sex Asexuality as a freak of nature, rather than apart of it. I can't blame them. I can only blame the close mindedness of the magazine writers and editors, who prey on our small minority to 'freak out' the general sexual populace. It makes us seem like a joke.
First impressions are everything. People get things in their heads, and then it's hard to change their mind about things. In this situation, Asexuality is seen as a joke. Don't you want to stop this from continuing? Don't you think it's sickening? Do something about it. Now. The longer we wait around, the more people will discover Asexuality the wrong way. It's unfair to you, and it's not fair for the rest of the Asexuals out there that don't even know they're Asexual yet.
I'm not saying that it's anyone's fault that the guild is really pathetically slow. I myself have procrastinated. I'm just tired of seeing old threads from months ago up at the top of the thread list. I mean, common people... What happened? Don't you care about your sexual orientation and the people you share that quality with anymore? Creatifity! Life! Bring life to this place!
Thus the end of my passionate, crazed pep talk. Whenever the guild is in dire need, this thread will be used to bring it back to life. Chatting is allowed however, even if the guild is doing well. ^^

Nironia the Lonely Spirit Examples of this are random spam, Rps, manga/anime/webcomics, banner designs, stories, funny pictures, games, etc. There is no end! Maybe if you allowed those things in this guild, there would be more of it. You have such a tight fist on this thing, Nironia, you're choking it. You're not allowing anyone to talk about anything but asexuality, and there's only so much you can say about it. Maybe if you loosened up a little, people wouldn't be afraid to post things.

Who gave you the idea that I am not letting anyone talk about things other than asexuality?
If that was the case, then I would have told everyone in the guild immediately when it opened. I have not done so. I have given everyone the freedom to talk about what they want. Asexuality is important, but everyday talk is what really gets the members to know each other.
If I had that frame of mind, by the way, I would have deleted all the threads that have to significance to asexuality. I haven't. I've only deleted threads that are old and unused, and I haven't been doing that much.

Yeah, I can agree that people make asexuals sound bad, and others make it sound like its a sexual disorder. Its just ignorace of closed minded people who can't see past their sexual organs. That looks good.

They're all beautiful. I think indigo should be our guild colour of course, so colder colours are great. But really, you are God. O.O It just boggles my mind.

I could make a guild banner...but the thing is that I'd like for the banner base (the banner without the text added) to represent a theme or idea of the guild. Take the banner that most people have in their signatures, for example. There is a man who is going to kiss a woman, and she stares at the audience, untouched by his passion. With my abstract/nature themes, how am I going to convey our asexuality?

Just try to ignore them, or better yet you should have educated them somewhat about asexuality. Heh.. ^^'' I'll try to post around the guild more often.

Warm colors wouldn't, in my oppinion, be very suitible as a guild color. So stick with cool colors or shades.
