Jie stretched lithely on the racing track. Morning practice didn't start for another hour sure, but he wanted to warm up and train hard for Beijing. He prepared himself for the start, took his mark- BEEP- and he took off.

Okayaki trotted towards the track. She accidently woke up late and therefore couldn't make it to the track before everyone else. Her eyes spotted a moving black figure racing around the track, "Wow, that guy is pretty fast" she said before huffing and walking towards the bleachers so she could watch him a bit.

Jie glared at the scoreboard, his time staring dead back at him. 10.01, he had never been able to break 10 seconds for the 100meter dash. It was either a 10, or something slower. He sighed and drooped his rear onto the track, as he looked over at the bleachers he saw a green figure watching. Miss Okayaki? "Helllo there!" he called out.

Oka blinked to herself before standing from the bleachers. "Jie?" she called unsure down to the black figure as she trotted down off the bleachers. When she reached the track she smiled at him, "Hi Jie, so it was you" she eyes darted to the score board for a moment and her smile fell, "Oh come on, I know you can do better than that"

Jie frowned, "Don't you think I know that?" he kicked the track floor and growled. "I've NEVER been able to break 10 seconds, NEVER!". He signed and laid on his front paws, "Anyways, how have you been?"

Oka looked down at the fox with a slightly sad expression, "Good, but bored. Well, when aren't I bored. Anyway, I came to the track to get some practice in, but I woke up late. My owner thought I needed rest, I just think she's crazy" She sighed and sat down, "So, I decided to watch you run since you were here first" she sat thinking for a moment before she got an idea, "You wanna race, though i'd probably beat you" she teased with a glint in her eye

"Oh really?" he smirked evilly" Well then, I'll let you choose the race then."Jie grinned at the thought of racing her, he knew she was fast sure, but he hadn't had the chance to go against her yet, until now..

Oka smirked, "Ok" she looked up at the score board and nodded towards it. "100 meter dash" she stated "Thing is, you have to win AND finish under 10 seconds. If you don't, I chose your punishment" she grinned evily, "It's less severe if you still win though" she said smiling.

Jie groaned "Fine...." he rolled his eyes and trotted towards the start. "What kind of punishment?" he asked, his eyes growing to the size of saucers. After a moment he paused, "No what, forget it I don't wanna know.". He adjusted the start. He glanced at the green and white femme "Ready?" he asked.

Oka nodded and readied herself. Once the beep sounded, she took off, already ahead of the male by a bit.

Jie rushed forward, feeling every muscle in his legs pushing harder than ever. "I won't let you win!" the thought roaring in his head. Crossing the finish line barely in front of Oka he glanced at the clock. 9.99 "********" he said, eyes wide as he looked at his time.

Oka smiled, almost started laughing when he sped up..and she slowed down. But he didn't need to know that. As she crossed the finish line, he was already there. She giggled and smiled at him, "See, I knew you'd make it!" she cheered before walking up to him and giving him a peck on the cheek.

Jie plopped onto the track floor with a groan, happy about the fact that he had beaten his time by .01 but....he was still missing something. He rolled onto his back and looked at her, "Hey...Oka?...Can I ask you something, but you have to promise not to laugh." he said softly.

Jie took a deep breath "How would you react....if I said I loved you?" he whimpered softly and buried his head in his paws. "I'm such an idiot" he murmured under his breath.
