It had been some time since she had met Axel and come to adore him. But she was feeling that something else was wrong, something that maybe not even she could understand. Standing in the middle of a small clearing, the very same that she had first met Axel in that windy day, she watched the skies as they had started to cloud over. Had they known something she didn't? Did they know that maybe today was going to turn from a blessed day, to maybe a grim one? She could only imagine, but something really hung heavy on her mind... She would have to speak to, to make him just come out with it.
"Oh Axel, What really lays within that chest of yours besides a heart that's afraid to give." She muttered as she watched the clouds.
Shaking her head again, she sighed and looked toward the ground, her wings pulled in close to her sides. It was here she waited for him, to ask him what he really thought about all this, it was often that he had said that he wished she would find better, to not have hi as a burden. Perhaps he was right? Perhaps she could find someone else? But who? She didn't know many others, only a handful that possibly have others now. She didn't want to be alone, it wasn't fun... So many thoughts crashed in her head, making it hurt and herself unaware of her surroundings, but at the moment she didn't rightly care...

Axel walked through the forest, his thoughts filled with dark and unhappy feelings. He didn't know what he was going to do. He had a bad feeling about all of this from day one but he knew he still loved her. He was so conflicted. He continued to walk and then noticed a familiar soquili. "Wica..." He uttered under his breath as she captivated his eyes.
Calling out to her, Axel seemed a little hesitant as he approached. "Hello Wica." He could tell that something was bothering her and he didn't like that. "How have you been?" He stood a little way from her knowing that he would feel uncomfortable if he was too close. He didn't want to get any closer... This was going to be the most difficult thing he's done in his life.

Turning her head, she looked over toward Axel, a smile crossed her face as she turned to his approach. Though she frowned a little as he stopped a little ways away from her. He was still fighting it, still didn't want to come too close to her unless he really had to. Ears twitching she smiled at him once again as he asked how she had been.
"I've been alright Axel. How about you?" she asked in return, not wanting to say what could hurt them both, hurt her more at least. "Been thinking though, thinking things that would not do either of us much good."
Her head hung gently as she knew it would come sooner or later. Over head the soft crack of distant thunder sounded. A thunderstorm, that's what was coming not only rain, but everything else. Was the earth really setting the scene of what was possibly to happen. Stepping forward she looked toward Axel, stopping a couple feet from him. Her head raised to that he wasn't looking down at her too much.

Nodding in acknowledgment, Axel searched for the right words to say. "Good to hear.. I've been doing alright, wandering about..." He seemed a little distracted and he tried to bring his focus back to Wica. Listening to her words carefully, Axel sensed that she knew what he was thinking about too. Then, maybe this was the best.
He listened to the thunderstorm in the distance and sighed to himself. The stallion didn't move as she stepped towards him but he just kept his eyes focused on her. "What were you thinking about?" He didn't... want to be the one to say it. He wanted her to say it to him so that he couldn't hurt her. He had promised that he would never hurt her.

Wica took a deep breath, this was going to feel like someone had stabbed her in the heart. Ears flicking back she gave a sad expression. She didn't want to hurt him either, maybe someone else could be agreed upon, maybe, hopefully. She didn't want to cut him out of her life forever, she cared about him too much.
"You know how you've always told me that you felt like a burden to me. How you wished I would have someone else? Well..." Oh boy here is comes, "I don't know if I have anyone else, maybe one that I know of that I care about as much as I do you." She looked away not really wanting to see the hurt that might be on his face. "Axel, I love you, a lot, but maybe this isn't right for us. Perhaps this relationship isn't going to 'work' between us. But I still don't want to lose you."
Tears welled within her own eyes as she looked back at Axel. She really didn't want to leave him, but at times it felt like they were slowly sliding apart and it took a lot to get back together. She hoped what she said was right and that he would understand. She really hoped that he would still be there when she needed someone to turn to when there was no one else. But for right now she only expected rage or him just leaving, in away she hoped she was wrong...

He showed no emotion on his face but inside of him, something was ripping apart as she cried. This was what he wanted to avoid but it was... inevitable. Axel wasn't sure if he wanted to respond to her or just walk away. Walking away sounded so good right now. "I hope this other person is worthy of your heart, Wica." The stallion had trouble saying her name. He thought that if he said anymore, it would just make things worse. "As I have always said, I'll watch over you. No matter what." And that was true. He would watch over her but that just meant that he would probably never talk to Wica again. That was okay... He needed time away from her to heal from the pain.
"Good bye, Wica. I'll always love you." Axel turned around and began to walk away from her, his figure slowly disappearing into the darkness around him.

Her heart ached as if someone had ran it through with a sharp object and tore it from her very chest. Shaking her head, letting her mane wave as she did, tears still streaming from her eyes she looked up. Barely seeing him turn she wanted to step toward him, but couldn't get her hooves to move. This was the hardest thing she ever thought she could do. She didn't want to hurt him, but it also felt that every time she took a steo towards him he would take a step away.
"Bye Axel, my love." She muttered turning and dashing the other direction.
Wings fanning at her sides she took to the air trying to get as far away and as fast as she could. But it seemed that her wings couldn't take her fast enough as the thoughts still crashed in her head and her heart still broke. Not knowing if she would ever see Axel again, she hoped so... Just not too soon...
